Arrived mid afternoon for one night stay . Check in staff not very welcoming but our room overlooking the main road was large , modern , clean & had everything you would need. We returned later in the evening & had a drink in the bar which was very quiet & after we were served there was no serving staff at the bar or reception , so it was off to bed . Other guests arrived at the bar but I believe gave up waiting to be served . Breakfast coffee was excellent , adequate display of baked goods etc. but the breakfast room & the main areas of the Hotel seemed soulless. We would not return .

Room: the queen bed was more like a king. Had a love seat sofa that is a pull out. Full length mirror, hair dryer not attached to wall, only liquid soap at sink & shower(for toiletries ). Air con was great!!(on sept 12!!) Parking: 8€/24hr & it is “in & out”! Attached to the back of the property off of the back patio with tables & chairs. Hotel: full bar with beer taps(was able to get a free huge glass of ice here!) breakfast room with tables & chairs, & lobby with sofa & tables & chairs(with scrabble, trivial pursuit , books,cards. So very nice common areas 24/7 & also a vending area with drink, snacks, toothpaste, etc. WiFi work well!

J'ai passé un séjour incroyable dans cet hôtel. Le personnel était extrêmement accueillant, attentionné et disponible. Ils ont été adorables avec mes enfants. la chambre était propre et confortable. Cette hôtel mériterait une troisième étoile. Je recommande vivement cet établissement à tous ceux qui recherchent un séjour inoubliable.

Mon compagnon et moi avons aimé notre séjour dans ce Residhome qui est très bien placé pas loin du centre , la cathédrale et les restaurants. La propreté est irréprochable très important pour nous 😀. Le lit est confortable on y dort bien .le personnel est sympathique et nous a donné des conseils utiles pour visiter la ville . Le monsieur qui était là au moment du check out était très sympa tique et professionnel , il nous a donné envie de revenir en nous parlant de la fête de la lumière qui va avoir lieu en février ou mars 2024 . Nous le remercions au passage ☺️
Nous le recommandons et séjournerons là bas sans hésitation si nous retournons à Chartres un jour .

Saving grace of this hotel are the staff and restaurant. Rooms need serious upgrade paint and plaster under window breaking away, desk top bubbled and lifting away, hardly any plug sockets with no usb ports, poor lightning, marks on carpet. Reception area and hallways very dated and again need seriously updating. However as mentioned earlier the staff were very welcoming and friendly both at reception and in the restaurant, rating would have been even lower had this not been the case

Previously as a Global Strategic Marketing Director, I used Novotel and Accor hotels frequently in Europe and elsewhere and have continued to do so in retirement. This hotel is my regular stopover en route to the South west of France. It was really surprising and disappointing to find multiple issues from the get-go that were examples of poor service levels and non-functioning processes. From on-line check-in and setting up advanced credit card to cover for incidentals to very, very poor restaurant service (dinner), there was a litany of issues. Quite uncharacteristically, short staffing, seemingly inappropriately skilled workers and dismissive front desk all helped paint a picture of a huge drop in service level from previous visits.

Easy to find with secure parking behind the hotel (€10 for 24 hours) Comfortable rooms with all that is needed for one night though having your own kettle is an advantage. Comfortable bed and good shower with plenty of hot water. Staff were friendly and helpful with advice on local amenities. Only a 15 minute walk to the Cathedral and the centre of town. Restaurants tend to be expensive in the centre so we ate at the hotel. A good quality satisfying meal with good service. A good range of food for breakfast completed a great stay.

MMental0715We arrived after midnight but there was somebody available to check us in. They were very friendly & cheerful despite it being so late. The room was absolutely fine. It was clean & comfy & idea for an overnight stay. The bathroom & shower were clean & towels were adequate. Breakfast the next morning was fine with plenty of choice for the value. The hotel isn’t easy to find as others have mentioned in previous reviews, it’s worth doing a walk through on google maps beforehand so you can see how to access it through car parks of other businesses.

PPengguna TetamuWe booked Campanile Dreux for just one night as a stopover on our way back to the ferry. We arrived late at night, which was not an issue for them, luckily, but we had unfortunately missed the restaurant. Upon first inspection the room was lovely and clean, everything worked fine and we both were happy enough. After foraging for food, we returned to the room and discovered that the wall behind the door was completely caked in mould. That was concerning, but as it was so late we didn't want to find somewhere else and so slept with the window open. Breakfast was good, we were both very happy. If it weren't for the mould it would have been a great stopover!
