We stayed for two nights at the end of September for a family wedding nearby. We arrived on Friday 27th and were really pleased that our request for a room in the main building had been accepted and we had a room next to the one we had stayed in last time. The room was very cosy and had a lovely big bed with a view over the high street. Very nice staff and lovely service. We didn’t have breakfast this time as our plans didn’t include it but last time the breakfast was great. We were able to walk to the local restaurant The Galley on the Friday evening as it is a minute walk away and then collapsed into bed after a fantastic dinner. We had a stroll around Topsham the following morning before leaving for the wedding and returning late that night. Had a lovely relaxed Sunday morning. The rooms have complimentary bottled water and biscuits and a coffee machine and kettle. There is plenty of wardrobe space and the room was spacious. Thank you for a lovely stay and hopefully we will be back in January!

Great find this. Lovely staff, everything provided in room. Bonus marks for the nespresso machine and daily top ups. Great location for getting to Exmouth and Exeter. Not noisy considering behind the busy pub. Breakfast was excellent. Will stay again.

Lovely weekend with my poor husband who is currently on crutches due to snapped achilles. Staff were lovely throughout the weekend and quick to change our room to a ground floor room to make access easier. Lovely breakfast - delicious scrambled egg and smoked salmon. Fantastic meal on night one - husband loved the steak and chips and chilli crab linguine was light and tasty. Sadly on the second night our order never made it to the kitchen so we waited over an hour for food. However once the staff realised they made sure we got it quickly and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine to makeup for it which was much appreciated. Lovely staff in bar and restaurant all weekend which was much appreciated. Make sure you try the ice cream next door - delicious!

This was our 4th stay at the Globe and very enjoyable. Room very clean and comfortable, food good, and staff at all levels are particularly helpful and friendly. Topsham is a delightful little town, ideal for a short break and we enjoyed the whole area. We will be back.

The Globe was decked out with Christmas decorations making it look very festive. My room in the main building was ok but it could do with a make over particularly with the lighting. Staff were pleasant, friendly and very helpful particularly when I had left my mobile downtown. They ordered a taxi so I could go and collect it from the Centre. I loved the fact that the bar room fire was lit daily. Thank you Freddie, Josh and Nicky. Anne Bowler

Brilliant room. Only a fleeting visit and needed a safe nice room for after a friends gathering ( actually it was a 40th year school reunion) our party/gathering was just below in the Topsham cellar bars so a convenient tiptoe end of evening up to the globe. Parking in the harbour was perfect albeit pay and display so ensuring ticket valid and topped up for overnight. Room ,we literally fell asleep. Up showered cup of tea biscuit and plodded to save the car from a ticket. But I thought the quality of the room very pleasant clean and welcoming. Thank you for having us xx

After seeing so many good reviews we thought we’d give it a try WOW what a lovely hotel rooms were spotless lovely & warm great shower the evening meal steak & chips was fabulous one of the best steaks I’ve had staff very nice the breakfast again lovely we stayed in room 5 very peaceful I think you’d have a job to find a better place to stay would definitely recommend

I had a lovely stay at The Globe. The rooms were clean and warm with great facilities and the most comfortable beds ever. All the staff were so helpful and friendly. I'd definitely come back again and really recommend it for a visit to Topsham.

We had an amazing time at The Globe staying in the self catering apartment and a twin room for our group of 6. The apartment was much larger than we had expected and provided everything we needed The beds were really comfortable and it was surprisingly quiet being over the pub. Great area to stay and easy to catch the train into Exeter. Lovely, friendly staff. Look forward to coming back again
