Great location. Rooms a little dated, with minimal housekeeping. Great stay nonetheless and staff were lovely.

Very close to high street. Full cooked breakfast buffet has a lot of food choices. The breakfast room is a bit small and crowded, expected to wait and be seated after 8:30am (as there is a warm reminder at the lift lobby / reception desk) Free on-street parking outside hotel after 6pm until 9am (weekdays) / 11am (sundays and bank holidays), so it is not necessary to give car parking fee inside the hotel premises.

We arrived at Exeter by train to see a friend who lived there and had to look for an accessible hotel. On the Internet, we came across Hotel Indigo, the site of the former House of Fraser dept store. With my wife in a wheelchair, the reception staff showed us a step-free entrance, as the main entrance is approached with steps. The staff were very friendly and polite and treated us well. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-kept. My wife loved the bathroom with its chessboard floor tiling and marble sink surrounds. She was also impressed with the quaint tea cups. We turned down in-house breakfast, as we thought that £20 each every morning was exorbitant! That's £40 for the two of us, and for four mornings, breakfast alone would have set us back £160. However, while my wife was having an afternoon nap in our room, I went down to the basement for a two-hour spa session. This includes a bubble bath, steam room and sauna. The price for the spa for non-residents was £30, but by giving my room number, I paid £20. Booking is recommended. The hotel is a couple of minutes from the Cathedral, and although our window looked over the High Street, there was no overnight traffic noise. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Exeter.

The location is the best spot you can find in center of Exeter. The hotel is old but inside is still very beautiful. However, some of the staffs are not very friendly and there is no flipflop when though we have asked at front desk.

I work in tourism and consequently I’ve visited the Leonardo, Exeter on numerous occasions this year. The staff at the hotel have always been helpful, pleasant and engaging with my guests and Ready to work with me in order to ensure that people have the best possible experience. On My most recent visit, a guest left their mobile phone at the hotel, Geraldine from reception went way above and beyond to ensure that the mobile phone was sent on to be reunited with the guest as soon as possible, and with no fuss. I am very thankful to her for her assistance. All members of staff that I’ve met at the hotel over the past season are worthy of praise, but, unfortunately, I don’t know the names of many, including the very efficient housekeeping team, however, I’m going to list the names of the following from reception and food and beverage, all have whom have helped me tremendously in recent months: Reception - Carly, Geraldine, Sophia, Chloe, Geraldine F&B - Karen & Lymer My thanks to you all!

I was coming into Exeter too late to get a connecting train to Barnstaple so needed a bed for the night. Premier Inn is literally just across the car park from Exeter St. David's so it was very convenient and a reasonable price. So happy I stayed here. I had a lovely comfortable bed which is exactly what I needed after a long day of travel. Great modern bathroom, lots of lights (love the purple ones) and the handsoap smells so good I want to get some for myself! Room was quiet, I slept well and long with no disturbances. Staff were friendly on check in and check out. I would love to have stayed longer.

I was surprised I had to pay for parking at this hotel with only the hotel and a restaurant on site. I have stayed at dozens of similar style motels all over the country but never had to pay for parking. I had booked an accessible room for my own reasons but the receptionist looked at me and asked if I really needed an accessible room and suggested I change to a regular room. I didn't feel like arguing with her so went with her suggestion as I didn't wanted to explain why I had chosen an accessible room and paid for that choice.

We stayed because our husbands were going to the rugby and the girls having a trip into Exeter. Location of the hotel was perfect not a long walk to the train station for us to get into town. On arrival at 12.30 reception was full queues of people trying to check in or leave bags. A man was sent out to take our car registration and names and then we could wait in the bar until they were ready for us. The boys waited in the bar and we headed off. They were checked in before 3 when they had to leave for the rugby which was good but to be honest we knew we were early and would have been happy leaving the luggage. We were told out of the 3 couples we had an upgrade to what turned out to be an accessible room and to be honest it isn’t an upgrade. I would have preferred the room we had booked which certainly wasn’t accessible. One of the other couples was over charged by £70 on check in - which we did sort out on our return. Whilst shopping we checked to see if our mobile key was ready but no we had to go to check in and do that on return to the hotel so they could Id us seems to defeat the object. On arrival back joined a queue again to activate the mobile key. It seems to be the longest slowest check of any hotel I have stayed in. When we finally got to the front we were given a normal key as it might take a while for the mobile one to work. Good job because it took nearly an hour to activate and then when I tried it it wouldn’t work with my phone. We then went to the bar before dinner again it was packed we managed to get a table but only 2 servers so wait for drinks was a little long. Price was ok. We had a table booked in the view for dinner and the food was lovely and reasonably priced. Again restaurant was very busy but the staff were lovely. Couldn’t have water. On the table as the waitress informed us they had run out of jugs, we said we would wait but she said no they had no jugs? She had to keep topping up from a bottle and she wasn’t allowed to leave the bottle on the table. Perhaps a trip to the next door IKEA May have sorted that. The main meal came with various items missing off of each plate, salsa, salad and chips. Overall was nice though. Breakfast was an another matter, we sat in the bar as the restaurant was packed. The design of the restaurant for breakfast is awful. People queueing for hot food past the croissants and bread and toaster so someone is always in the way. The fruit and cold meat and cheeses on the end of the hot line so missed by a lot of people. Only Greek or soya p,Ian yoghurt noth8ng flavoured, ran out of compote and fruit. Had to ask for the orange juice to be topped up. Just very disorganised and badly set out. Now I know it was a busy rugby weekend but the hotel are obviously fully aware of this. The staff were pleasant and the food in the evening lovely, in the morning ok. The room was clean and lovely - definitely not an upgrade though so please don’t make out it was. Very pleased with our overnight stay at Exeter Court Hotel. Ideal location for us, the room was spotless with everything supplied for our use. Excellent breakfast and all the staff very attentive. Will definitely stay again if the occasion arises.
