Residence Fiesole

We stayed at this magnificent place for our brief stay in Tuscany. Residence Fiesole far exceeded our expectations. Tommaso greeted us exceptionally well even before we arrived, sending us helpful information about getting to Fiesole and to the residence (it's a very old village so the roads are winding and forked). Upon arrival, Tommaso gave us so many helpful tips about both Fiesole and Florence, and also made great restaurant suggestions (he was right about all of them!). The 7 Fiesole bus made it easy to get in and out of Florence, but there was one day when we felt like taking it easy, so we hopped to the grocery store just 3 minutes away, grabbed some food, and ate on the balcony for each meal, enjoying the incredible view of the Tuscan countryside, while relaxing in our peaceful and breezy room the rest of the time. (On that note, some Residence Fiesole rooms are at ground level with a big patio, and some are on the second floor with a balcony. Either way, great views.) Fiesole itself is quite an interesting village to explore. There are Etruscan ruins near the village centre, a quirky museum (which wasn't open when we were there), plenty of restaurants (we loved La Reggia Degli Etrusche), and I found lovely linen shirts one of the boutiques. I appreciated the calm away from the city's bustle (because Florence moves very quickly), but Tommaso and the entire team at Residence Fiesole also made things incredibly easy for us. I recommend staying at Residence Fiesole *instead* of anywhere in Florence. You won't be disappointed.

Quiet accommodation near to crowded Florence. City is easy accessible by bus within 30 min. Friendly and helpful staff.

For these couple of days away we chose to stay in the Residence Fiesole which is half an hour up the hill from Florence. This is a fairly new Residence with all the mod-cons. It is very comfortable, has great views and we had the best two nights sleep we had had for months. Our apar**ent was equipped with a small washing machine, a dish washer, microwave, small cooking hobs and everything one would need in the little kitchenette. It is only a short walk into the Fiesole village itself where there are many good restaurants. This was a great spot to base ourselves for our visit to Florence. We left our car and took the bus down to Florence which made it very stress free. Definately we would stay here again and we highly recommend it.

I stayed here with my husband and two young children over Easter. We had a fantastic stay. The location is perfect for exploring Fiesole and Florence. It’s a short walk to the village plaza, the local supermarket/shops, the archeological site and the bus to take you into Florence (which runs every 15 minutes). Before we had even arrived at the apar**ent we were helped by the owners with helpful directions and instructions on what to do on arrival. Upon arrival we were given a warm welcome, maps and recommendations on places to explore locally and in Florence. The accommodation itself was lovely and clean. Very well set up for a family. There was also plenty of secure parking. I would definitely stay again and can very much recommend.

Just simply amazing. A piece of serenity away from the hustle and bustle of Florence. Great accommodations and friendly staff especially the manager. Very clean, comfortable and with amazing views of the hillsides.A gem!

The outside is a bit older but the inside (esp the bathroom was updated nicely). They have thought of everything here, including the soaps needed for the dishwasher & washing machine, iron and board, drying rack, coffee vending (it was surprisingly good), etc. The space has a lot of room, compared to most Europe hotels we stayed at and is very reasonable. I'd highly recommend if you're looking for a safe, quiet location with many amenities in your room.

We had a wonderful stay at residence Fiesole. We were greeted by the father of the owner who explained all necesssry details of our stay. The room was large, airy and clean. We had a magnificent view of the countryside from our window. Between the hotel and downtown Florence there are several small local shops and restaurants. Great place to stay.
