Le Grand Hotel

We are currently on a self guided cycle trip in the south of France. We made our way to Forcalquier to start the Luberon cycle route. The only hotel in town is the Grand so we are lucky there was room and even luckier to get one that faced the back therefore it was very quiet. They have a very secure garage to store the bikes! It was been a cool spring in the area and to our surprise the heat is turned off in May for the summer therefore our room was very cold. But the room was very clean and a nice size. The wifi was not adequate and hard to log on to. Breakfast was pleasant but simple. The young man working the front desk was very pleasant and helpful and did suggest a great restaurant for dinner!!

Perfect room in a wonderful village. The staff were excellent and the room was lovely. Perfect location to enjoy all the village has to offer!

I stayed there for 11 nights. The rooms are spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. The bed is comfortable, there is no air conditioner but each room has a fan to keep it fresh if needed. The stairs didn’t bother me, on the contrary it was a good exercise for me. My room had a garden view so the street traffic didn’t bother me and the church bells I was going to hear wherever I stayed in Forcalquier. The location of the hotel is excellent, walking distance from the best restaurants, a pharmacy, ATM machine, a barber and a hair salon all next door to the hotel. The couple owning the hotel are professional and once you get to know them they are very welcoming, warm and they do their best to make you feel comfortable. Frankly, for the price per night, it was a great value. I definitely recommend it.

Pour découvrir à pied ce très beau village une seule adresse : le grand hôtel. Profitez du parking gratuit en contournant l’établissement et rejoignez la réception par l’escalier . Un gentil accueil vous sera réservé et les chambres sont simples mais suffisantes pour une nuit . Un bon petit déjeuner vous est proposé à un prix d’ami 9 euros

Hôtel très bien rénové. Chambre spacieuse, bien équipée avec salle de bain semi-ouverte très agréable. Toutefois literie un peu molle. Le gros point est d’avoir une chambre côté rue, avec la chaleur les fenêtres sont ouvertes et du coup le bruit de la rue est vraiment gênant !

Chambres restauré avec goût règlement déroutant... petit déjeuner copieux manque du salé repas correct personnel sympathique petit parking privé local à vélos. Il manque un coin agréable pour prendre un apéritif entre amis et une petite salle de réunion pour les groupes. Proche centre ville

Cadre agréable. Dommage que l'accès au parking ne soit plus possible après 20h et avant 8h. À la question de comment faire si problème de santé, réponse " vous appelez le SAMU". Responsable de très mauvaise foi, m'obligeant à réagir de façon très ferme. Je ne recommande pas.

Hôtel situé ventre ville. Ancien mais rénové. Accueil agréable et la gérante est toujours souriante et ouverte au dialogue. Petit parking privé sur l'arrière du bâtiment. Chambre propre avec douche , WC. Petit déjeuner copieux le matin. Les moins : notre literie était affaissée en son centre. Manque prise électrique au niveau des chevet. Insonorisation perfectible.
