Pleasantly surprised by this spacious comfortable room. Will stay here again when coming to Brisbane.

We stayed at here 3days. It was written that everyday clean the room unless we dont say anything, but cleaner hasnt worked anything.They just changed bin bag. We wanted to ask concierge but they closed so early no one in there...Omg so bad.

The lady put me into a dirty room that hadn't been cleaned wity no made bed either. Then when I asked when it would be done she went on to abuse me saying that I was checking in early & completely dismissed my concerns. The othercladies in line behind me were all shocked at her response to me & agreed thst she was totally out of line & that I hadnt said anything rude so we all couldn't believe her Sharp response. It was 1:59pm Check in is 2pm. But my bed wasnt made until after 2pm & the chocolate on the floor never got cleaned. I also only had a small amount of toilet paper & no handsoap in the dispenser. I will never stay here again. It put a really bad start to my trip & I'm still suffering emotionally by being soken to & treated that way, when I was completely respectful. She really should'nt be in customer service I also had booked a non smoking room but could smell smoke all thruout the property. Dirty old building too, the shower head was broken & wouldnt stay on the wall so I was unable to shower & was forced wash with a wet towel I checked out 2 hours early because I just wanted to get out of there asap.

old themed room mostly wood furniture. place lacks safety. early morning, we had someone tried to open the room thrice and successfully managed to. checked with receptionist and she said no one else had our room keys. when we said the room was successfully opened by others despite a do not disturb sign, she said then maybe it is housekeeping. (this was against original words that no one else had our keys right?). no apologies was given and instead she asked, u dont need your room to be cleaned? if it is a two day stay with such a sign, hope guests can be respected and not have others come inside (and who knows if its others or housekeeping?). avoid this dishonest hotel which lacks safety.

It’s difficult to find a personel for help after check in. I could not find a box of tissue in the room. It was not aware that my room did not have Aircond which made me very uneasy under the hot weather. Besides, there were small flies entering the room as I had no alternative but to open the balcony window under such hot weather!

We had a horrible experience. Someone was knocking on our door all night. The doors don’t have a peep hole so you can’t see who is outside. They also don’t double-lock. We called the after-hours reception to ask them to check who was outside or resolve the problem and the lady we spoke to was rude, condescending, and unhelpful. Worst sleep ever. We were so terrified. Definitely won’t be coming back here.

Lovely clean old Queensland building in a great location, With a relaxed atmosphere , sit out on the front porch and watch the city start to wake up. Will definitely be staying again.

I've stayed here a few times before as it's reasonably convenient to get into the CBD and fairly well priced. The double room was a fair size, cleaner than the other rooms I've stayed in everything worked.

For just the real quick trip, position was ideal, comfortable bed, coffee, tea and milk. Enough for me.

Due to slow drainage in the bathroom that wasn't fixed, the hotel moved us to an upstairs room. It was a huge improvement from the previous one; the room and bathroom were spacious and clean, both with large windows that opened, offering a great view.

The staff were very helpful and welcoming. This wasn’t a bad stay by any means- just had a certain feel to it we didn’t like. The property itself has a really strong smell of old wood and beer, which is quite a lot to get used to. The rooms are decent sized, however did find that 7 rooms to one toilet and shower was a little hard to navigate at times. The toilet also constantly had the windows locked open which meant that people walking past outside could see in and be heard which is a little unsettling where privacy is concerned. The room itself had quite a few baby cockroaches in, and after looking found full insect traps in the room so suspect this may be an ongoing issue. The blinds over the windows were very loose also, meaning when laid in bed at night you could see both in and out of our room which was also slightly unsettling. Our room was equipped with a sink, kettle, and fridge which came in handy. The stay was okay and did us for the price, very historic and lots of images on the walls demonstrating so.

Nice place to stay

This place was definitely value for money! It was in a great location, not far from the airport and the variety of different places to eat was great. We didn't really see any staff but all all amenities were clean, the floor in our room was a bit sticky and it was a bit noisy from upstairs but apart from that we couldn't really fault it.

The room was so cold all the night, no hot airco just cold. Noisy toilet all the night about water in the shower. really good location
