We stayed here for one night before we flew out of Frankfurt home to the U.S. I picked it because it was right across the street from the train station (or so someone told me). It's technically not ”right across the street.” You need to cross the street and walk maybe a block, turn left and it's right there, just in case you're like us and dragging luggage with you. There are also taxis that just sit outside the hotel if you ever need one. We are also Bonvoy members and I had enough points so that I could pay cash and points for this hotel. I reserved a junior suite because we needed a room that could accommodate us and our 12-year-old daughter. It is surprisingly difficult to find this in Europe. I called the hotel when I booked the room maybe a month or two in advance to make sure that the junior suite could indeed accommodate us and I was told it would (the pictures of this room on the Bonvoy website are not clear--where exactly in the room is the extra bed? There isn't one. It's a rollaway. This is why I called). When we arrived, there was some confusion or a problem with getting our room with an extra bed, and that's when I reminded them that I specifically called the hotel and asked if such a room could accommodate us and I was told yes. Whatever the problem was, they got it sorted out and we had a rollaway delivered to our room when we got up there. My suggestion is that if you need an extra bed(s) for your kids, call them the day before you arrive to (re)confirm that there will be a rollaway and/or the room you reserved will indeed accommodate your family. The junior suite is not very big, but it was fine for the three of us for one night. It's true that the hotel is not in the nicest area, but you can walk to the Rhine and restaurants. If I were staying more than one night and didn't have to fly out early the next morning, I would have stayed farther in town. The bed was very comfortable. I thought the breakfast was good--at least it was a lot better than the breakfast at the other hotel where we stayed before coming to Frankfurt, lol. The eggs were not rubbery and overcooked, and the food selection was just better overall.

I was here for 1 night on a quick business trip through Frankfurt. The location from the main train station was my initial reason to stay here, and it is very close - just an extra block away from the Le Meridien. Easy walk with luggage from Frankfurt (Main) Hauptbahnhof to both hotels. Roomers is very trendy and non-discrete. So much so I guess I was not dressed 'trendy' enough for the door person to help open for me while rolling my luggage into. But I digress. The staff I interacted with were all very nice and friendly, including the front desk and restaurant. I did not have an opportunity to try the bar on this stay. Why I gave this 2-stars is for the room... I was ”upgraded” to a ”quieter room” with my Elite Status, which I appreciated upon check-in. The room itself was fine with very dark interiors and roomy enough for 2 people. There was a place for luggage, desk area and comfortable bed. The bathroom was a good size with plenty of sink space and large shower. There were, however, no USB ports or easily accessible plugs to charge your phone at bedside without moving furniture around. And why I will not stay here ever again is the lack of sleep from the thumping music until 3:30AM in this upgraded ”quiet wing of the hotel”, as well as a very warm room temperature that never seemed to cool down all night. The thermostat said 22, but there was never any cool air coming out so I doubt the A/C was working. And the bass from the music was so strong it was making items on the desk move and create noise until 330AM. Waking up for an 8AM meeting with little sleep, and having to get dressed in a very warm room was not enjoyable. The hallway and lobby were cooler than inside my room. I wanted to like this place, but quality sleep is important to me. So I will try another hotel next visit.

We visit this hotel for one night using AMEX FHR for the booking. We are upgraded to a junior suite #569 at check in. This is the top floor at the hotel. The view from the room is rooftops, but the room is large and recently updated with every creature comfort. The bathroom is large featuring double sinks, toilet with bidet and separate tub/large shower with electronic temperature controls. There is a non functioning lighted makeup mirror and TV for the bathtub. AC for the room does not cool well but we were provided a fan to help. There are plenty of electrical outlets for charging. Staff are generally very friendly, but wait staff at the terrace lounge and breakfast are not particularly attentive. The lady working the egg station for breakfast is a little snooty. The breakfast buffet is okay but not what I expect in terms of variety for a hotel of this stature. In spite of the minor issues I plan to visit this hotel again.

My husband and I are still staying here at this hotel while we visit family all week and we won't be staying here again. Our room has two TV's in it, both of which constantly turn off and restart, or just freeze on a black screen. We asked for help and nothing happened. The weirdest thing is that there are absolutely no movies available to purchase and no capabilities for streaming. Last night we watched a movie in bed on my laptop like we were in college! The TV is not our main priority on our trip, but we were looking forward to watching stuff together in the room on our vacation. Instead we get a choice of CNN, BBC, CNBC, or Bloomberg. I've stayed in motels with movies available to purchase! Just felt really weird to be paying for 6 nights thousands of dollars and no options and NO plugs for charging by the bed. Olivier and Dominick are awesome and thank goodness for them! Oh, and when you arrive with your car there usually is no valet outside...both times we didn't want to leave our car outside unattended but no one came out so we had to go in. My final thing....I had a headache and they didn't have anything, my husband had to walk to the pharmacy. We aren't too lazy to walk but when you are staying at a so-called 5 star hotel and you don't have headache medicine, no streaming capabilities or media selections...Not worth the money! Special shoutout to Olivier and Dominick who are AWESOME!!!

Es war mein erster Aufenthalt in dem Hotel. Der Check-In war schnell und freundlich. Ich hatte morgens kurzfristig das Zimmer gebucht. Wollte unbedingt ein Skylineview Zimmer. Ein paar tolle Fotos /Videos machen. Mein Zimmerwunsch wurde sehr gut erfüllt. Am Ende vom Gang in der 38. Etage. Ich war begeistert (siehe Fotos). Ich hätte auch als Marriott Bonvoy Gold Member ein Upgrade bekommen. Wäre aber auf jeden Fall zur anderen Seite gewesen. Da ich ja aber die Skyline fotografieren wollte habe ich abgelehnt. Tiefgarage (Q-Park WestendGate) war super. Teuer mit 39€ aber viel Platz und nicht so eng. Gehört aber nicht zu Marriott. Die Fahrstühle fahren super schnell. Ich war Abends noch im Hotel Restaurant/Bar ”Champion´s”. Hatte einen Burger. Der war ok; habe aber schon bedeutend bessere gegessen. Der Service war eine Katastrophe. Man musste lange warten bis Getränke/Essen am Tisch waren. Auch Bezahlung hat gedauert. Morgens hatte ich dann noch den Sonnenaufgang fotografiert. War richtig Klasse. Das Frühstück hat mir gefallen von der Auswahl her. Ich war früh morgens um 7 Uhr dort. Das komplette Restaurant war leider rappelvoll. Habe dann später mitbekommen das dort eine Reisegruppe war. Durch diese mittlere ”Insel” war es dann extrem voll in den Gängen rundherum. Ist aber nicht immer so. Ich würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

This is a 100% honest review. And i will try to write as much to help other Customers who are looking for Hotels to book. I know how hard it is to read Reviews and all, but i hope this will help. This Hotel has the best service of all! From the Valet Parking, to the Receptionist (who speaks perfect English), to the Room! ROOM: First impression in entering the room, was.. WOW. IT SMELLS CLEAN AND GOOD! It is big enough for 2. They provided us 2 free Water Bottles, they have Shampoos, Body Soap, and Lotion. The Pillows are Comfortable, Bed is really Big (but don’t expect too much) it is just good enough to sleep. If you’re looking for EXTRA comfort for sleeping, this is not the one for you. They have Airconditioning (which is really important), and it works PERFECT! BREAKFAST BUFFET: They have wonderful WAITERS AND WAITRESSES! They will go extra mile for you like when you get your Coffee yourself, they will offer to do it for you. It gives a lot of choices when it comes to Food. Their FOOD is superb! I still can’t get over with the Waffles 😅 it is true that it’s a little bit Pricey, but if you’re a Breakfast Person, i would highly recommend you to get this one! 😊 Overall experience, it was excellent!

Hello, I visited Frankfurt, Germany for a business trip and stayed at this hotel. Unfortunately, I was not in the best condition as I had gastroenteritis from Korea. My condition worsened significantly. It was scary to be so sick abroad. I informed the front desk about this, and the staff told me they could call an ambulance, but I didn't have German insurance, so I decided to return to Korea the next day. I was very anxious that night, but the staff tried their best to reassure me, brought me water, and came to my room several times to check on me, showing great care. I am so grateful! I eventually managed to return to Korea safely and am now receiving treatment. Thank you so much for handling the emergency so well and for your concern. Your support was comforting during that day. Leider war ich in keiner guten Verfassung, da ich eine Gastroenteritis aus Korea hatte. Mein Zustand verschlechterte sich erheblich. Es war beängstigend, im Ausland so krank zu sein. Ich habe die Rezeption über diese Situation informiert, und die Mitarbeiter sagten mir, sie könnten einen Krankenwagen rufen, aber ich hatte keine deutsche Versicherung, also beschloss ich, am nächsten Tag nach Korea zurückzukehren. Ich war sehr ängstlich in dieser Nacht, aber das Personal hat sein Bestes getan, um mich zu beruhigen, sie brachten mir Wasser und kamen mehrmals in mein Zimmer, um nach mir zu sehen, sie haben sich sehr um mich gekümmert. Ich bin so dankbar! Letztendlich konnte ich sicher nach Korea zurückkehren und erhalte nun eine Behandlung. Vielen Dank dafür, dass Sie den Notfall so gut gemeistert haben und sich so um mich gekümmert haben. Ihre Unterstützung war während dieses Tages sehr beruhigend. Danke.

Das Grand Hotel Empire ist meine absolute Nummer Eins in der Umgebung des Frankfurter Hauptbahnhofs, es ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man von einem guten Hotelzimmer erwartet, die Lage ist Top, die Zimmer toll und gemütlich, also - ein echter Knüller! Natürlich gibt es einen Aufzug. Das Hotel liegt an der Südseite des Hauptbahnhofs, am seitlichen Eingang der Haupthalle. Es ist nur eine Minute von der Rezeption bis zur Bahnhofshalle. Für alle, die schnell zum Zug oder Flug müssen, ist die Lage super. Das Stadtviertel wird als Gutleutviertel bezeichnet. Es liegt abseits des Bahnhofsviertels, das direkt gegenüber der Haupthalle beginnt und als Rotlichtviertel bekannt ist. Tipp: wer zum Flughafen möchte, begibt sich zum unterirdischen S-Bahnhof zu Gleis 103 und fährt mit S8 oder S9, NICHT mit S1, die zwar wie die beiden anderen Linien auch nach Wiesbaden fährt, aber auf einer Strecke NICHT zum Flughafen. Das Zimmer verfügt über alles, was man als Gast im Hotel schätzt und mag. Zunächst das bequeme Bett mit guter Bettware. Es ist eine offene Glasdusche im Raum, dazu das Waschbecken mit Föhn und Kosmetikspiegel, abgetrennt die Toilette. Der Kleiderschrank bietet reichlich Platz, ein Bügeleisen und Bügelbrett, dazu einen Safe. Richtung Bett findet man noch ein großes offenes Regal, wo reichlich Textilien und Dinge abgelegt werden können. Da findet sich auch eniges an Snacks aus der Minibar und ein Wasserkocher. Die Minibar ist ordentlich bestückt, und eignet sich auch zur Kühlung von mitgebrachten Getränken. Die Vorhänge schließen gut das Licht ab und die Beleuchtung ist vielfältig und ansprechend, darüber hinaus gibt es auch eine Klimaanlage, die sich in der Stärke regulieren lässt und auch das Lüftungsgeräusch. Es ist alles wirklich Klasse!

Telah menginap berkali-kali, sarapannya enak, dan perkhidmatannya juga sangat baik. Lokasi hotel sangat dekat dengan stesen kereta api dan mudah untuk perjalanan. Terdapat tangga menuju ke stesen kereta api, s-bahn dan kereta api bawah tanah di depan pintu. Sangat mudah untuk pergi ke restoran Cina, Liga Super Cina, dan kedai teh susu di sekitar, dalam jarak berjalan kaki. Tetapi stesen kereta api juga akan menjadi kucar-kacir, jadi jangan keluar terlalu lewat. Yang lain cukup bagus. Saya tinggal di sini setiap kali saya pergi ke Frankfurt.

wir haben auch aufgrund der zentralen Lage direkt am Frankfurter Hauptbahnhof das Steigenberger Metropolitan gewählt. Es war alles rundherum top: Professionelles Einchecken (mit vorbildlicher Einhaltung der Corona-Regeln), sauberes und geräumiges Zimmer, top Room Cleaning, ausreichend Handtücher und ein sehr bequemes Bett. Trotz der zentralen Lage war es auch wunderbar ruhig hier. Sehr gefallen haben uns auch die Nespresso Maschine auf dem Zimmer und die inkludierten Flaschen Mineralwasser. Die Minibar war leider leer (aufgrund Corona??). Der Wellness und Spa-Bereich war aufgrund Corona ebenfalls geschlossen. Wir haben uns nur für die Übernachtung entschieden und nicht im Hotel gefrühstückt, da wir 17 Euro pro Person für recht ambitioniert bepreist empfanden. Über die Umgebung haben ja einige geneigte Vorredner bereits berichtet - das sollte man aber vorher wissen, wenn man in Frankfurt im Bahnhofsviertel bucht, das dortige Publikum kann man wirklich nicht dem Hotel anlasten. Wobei die Umgebung sich gefühlt sukzessive zum Positiven entwickelt, so waren wir z.B. wenige Meter vom Hotel entfernt im Stanleys hervorragend essen. Fazit: Wir würden hier jederzeit wieder buchen und können das Steigenberger Metropolitan auf jeden Fall empfehlen. Durch die Nähe zum HBF und der S-Bahnstation kann man wunderbar alle Stadtteile von FFM erreichen.

This is a 100 years old hotel; we choose this hotel because of the hotel interior has a very authentic look liken that you are in the 60’s feeling compared to modern building hotels. It looks old from the outside but it very cleans from the inside. All the rooms are big and renovated and very clean. There are fan and heater in the room. The hotel is located at the right side of Frankfurt HBF, very convenience for those travelling by train. Hotel provide welcome drink with champaign on arrival and also free flow of coffee and tea, cake in the reception area until 6.00pm every day. In the room the provide pepsi cola, orange juice, water and other soft drink in their refrigerator free of charge. Breakfast is Euro15.00 with salmon fish. We have read some negative review on outside the hotel but so far it is safe as we go in and out of the hotel many times. When you travel don’t show off all your valuable in any European countries. We stay at the room facing the back therefore it is very peaceful and quite at night. The receptionists both men and women are very friendly, helpful and good. Should we go there again we will consider this hotel again.

Also there were no tea/coffee making facilities in the room which was a surprise. Kind of expect it these days. The review would have been 4* but for the location of the hotel. It’s approx 250M from Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof. First night in our room we witnessed at least 20 drug deals taking place in the street below our window. The next evening, walking back to the hotel a man being chased by a gang nearly got killed under a car. And Niddastrasse which runs away from the hotel can only be described as a scene from the Walking Dead. It was horrific and at times very intimidating. I appreciate this is nothing to do with the hotel, but every time you use the front door you have to run the gauntlet. And it’s not fun let me tell you.

I recently stayed at the hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by the discovery of bed bugs on my last day. Despite this issue, I found the overall stay to be acceptable. The breakfast wuthin my expectations, but I believe the reception could improve. Coming back on bed bugs I urge the hotel to prioritise thorough inspections and preventive measures to ensure a pest free environment for guests.

Natürlich gibt es einen Aufzug. Das Hotel liegt an der Südseite des Hauptbahnhofs, am seitlichen Eingang der Haupthalle. Es ist nur eine Minute von der Rezeption bis zur Bahnhofshalle. Für alle, die schnell zum Zug oder Flug müssen, ist die Lage super. Das Stadtviertel wird als Gutleutviertel bezeichnet. Es liegt abseits des Bahnhofsviertels, das direkt gegenüber der Haupthalle beginnt und als Rotlichtviertel bekannt ist. Tipp: wer zum Flughafen möchte, begibt sich zum unterirdischen S-Bahnhof zu Gleis 103 und fährt mit S8 oder S9, NICHT mit S1, die zwar wie die beiden anderen Linien auch nach Wiesbaden fährt, aber auf einer Strecke NICHT zum Flughafen. Das Zimmer verfügt über alles, was man als Gast im Hotel schätzt und mag. Zunächst das bequeme Bett mit guter Bettware. Es ist eine offene Glasdusche im Raum, dazu das Waschbecken mit Föhn und Kosmetikspiegel, abgetrennt die Toilette. Der Kleiderschrank bietet reichlich Platz, ein Bügeleisen und Bügelbrett, dazu einen Safe. Richtung Bett findet man noch ein großes offenes Regal, wo reichlich Textilien und Dinge abgelegt werden können. Da findet sich auch eniges an Snacks aus der Minibar und ein Wasserkocher. Die Minibar ist ordentlich bestückt, und eignet sich auch zur Kühlung von mitgebrachten Getränken. Die Vorhänge schließen gut das Licht ab und die Beleuchtung ist vielfältig und ansprechend, darüber hinaus gibt es auch eine Klimaanlage, die sich in der Stärke regulieren lässt und auch das Lüftungsgeräusch. Es ist alles wirklich Klasse!
