Hotel Zentrum An der Hauptwache

I stayed last night and rushed afterwards to see what tripadvisor said about it. Oh, wow, Leonardo's "Hotel from Hell" is spot on. Manager caught by surprise at my prepaid arrival, kept me waiting (in my case half an hour) while they sorted a room. Some investment must have been made, because the room seemed OK, except nothing worked. And like Leonardo said, it got worse in the morning. No lift, no sign of anyone, couldn't get into reception anyway, and had to just walk out onto the street...

Terrible experience; waited 2 hours to check in, no towels in room, no Wi-Fi. Breakfast room and elevator locked in the morning. All doors locked except exit to street. Forced to take our luggage and leave. Locked doors a safety issue. You get what you pay for.

Location was absolutely perfect, the staff was very friendly and lovely. The room was nice and clean. Would recommend Hotel Zentrum.

We always stay at this hotel when we visit Frankfurt and it needs a bit of attention but this time we were very disappointed. Staff are down to two including the manager who doesn't seem to do much. The rooms are not looked after, the curtain fell out of the rail when I tried to pull it. The shower was broken. But the worst part of our trip was the morning. No one was around. No one answered the phones including the managers mobile. The hotel is accessible by a small lift and that was not working. No breakfast was on offer but the worst part was that they left their guests stuck in their rooms without any emergency help should there have been a problem. Or anyway of knowing if we could get back into the hotel if we went out for breakfast. The staff turned up at 12pm without much apology. It's a shambles and really sad because the location is great. I hope they sort themselves out.

Great hospitality in a fantastic location. Sacha is very welcoming and friendly and has put a lot of effort in to his hotel.

Wir waren dort für eine Übernachtung und konnten das Zimmer statt um 14:00 Uhr erst gegen 17:00 Uhr betreten weil bis dahin noch der Besitzer/Inhaber nicht da war. Der nette Mann (die gute Fee, die alles dort erledigt hat) war sehr freundlich. Der Manager wirkte aber sehr chaotisch. Das Zimmer war zwar auf den ersten Blick optisch ganz ansprechend, die Fotos die ich beigefügt habe sprechen aber Bände. Wir haben den Manager darauf hin angesprochen, dann wurden immerhin die Zahnputzgläser ausgetauscht, viel mehr ist aber nicht passiert. Wir hatten nur ein Duschtuch für zwei Personen, bei Nachfrage, ließ sich kein weiteres in der Wäschekammer mehr finden. Das Frühstück war recht spartanisch und nicht unbedingt hochwertig. Insgesamt bietet das Hotel aufgrund der Lage und aufgrund der generellen Ausstattung viel Potenzial, die aber überhaupt nicht genutzt wird. Stattdessen verschreckt man Gäste mit verschmutzten Zimmern. Wir werden garantiert nicht noch mal buchen auch wenn die Lage natürlich hervorragend war.
