A moms weekend away for my 50th. We bought the all inclusive “cruise and stay“ offered through the Margaritaville cruises. Our cruise arrived Saturday morning to the Bahamas, and although it took a little bit of time to get to the hotel with our arrangements, we were pleasantly surprised upon arrival. We had heard the hotel took on great damage in the 2019 hurricane and it seems the majority of it is still shuttered and the property is up for sale. You can definitely feel the wear and tear of the hotel, but the staff, the location, the amenities, the all you can eat, and drink package, the weather, the time of year we went we literally felt like it was our own private resort. We had upgraded to oceanfront rooms, which is the only way to go. The rooms are a bit damp but who cares you’re on the ocean with the most magnificent view we decided to go off resort one night for dinner at the flying fish, which I could not recommend more on a Sunday night when the owner gets up and sings acoustically. Situated on a marina and walking distance to the hotel. We did enjoy the spa Services and really couldn’t have asked more than our toes in the sand, a drink in our hand and complete relaxation. I guess my only tip would be for the staff and the DJ to see, what your demographics are when you’re blaring music. It would’ve been nice to have more chill music, then the blaring songs when there were few people there. The “day trippers” come by sat all day and monday, but it was néver that crowded our weekend. Highly rec for a quick getaway from fla that was pretty low key and lovely all they around. I hope we do not loose this boutique gem (keep with what you have and just update it) then turn it in to the next hardrock. But glad we go to experience it. Will be back.
