Hotel berhampiran St.-Mauritius-Kirche, Friedeburg

Nach dem Einchecken habe ich auf dem Zimmer im Bad erstmal eine Dusche genommen. Leider habe ich dabei das ganze Bad unter Wasser gesetzt, da die Duschabtrennung nicht dicht war. Nach Reklamation haben wir dann ein anderes Zimmer bekommen. In diesem Zimmer war die Duschabtrennung dicht, leider war der Duscheinstieg (Tür) so eng ausgelegt, dass man nur unter Mühen in die Dusche kam. Zudem fehlte jegliche Ablagefläche. Handtuchhalter waren ebenfalls nicht vorhanden, so dass man die Handtücher am Garderobenhaken trocken musste. Das Frühstück am ersten Morgen ließ auch zu Wünschen übrig. Die Wurstwaren wirken nicht frisch und es gab nur eine Sorte Brötchen und Brot. Der vorhandene Aufzug ist eine Katastrophe und dringend renovierungsbedürftig. Die Zimmer werden nur nach vorabendlicher Anmeldung gereinigt. Leider wird das beim Check in nicht mitgeteilt. Die Zimmer im Hotel sind ok, aber der Rest des Hotels ist in die Jahre gekommen. Die Lage ist gut.

Wir wahren dort mit unserem Hund Parkplatz top für jeden was da bei sogar Fahrstuhl vorm Hotel für Koffer oder Rollstuhl sehr sehr sauber Zimmer top Frühstück top Personal doppelt top Lage Supper top wer weniger Sterne gibt wie 5 ist nicht berechtigt bin Busfahrer und ganz Europa in Hotels übernachtet und sind wenige die diesen Standort haben und der Preis genial bedanken uns herzlich Garcia Sanchez

We stayed two nights. The large hotel has a very good location in Wilhelmshaven and the downtown area is within walking distance. Parking is available in front of the hotel at EUR 12. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet and had a great view of the inner harbor. The bed was very good, and it was equipped with coffee maker, safe, and a mini bar with good non alcoholic drinks included in the rate. The bathroom was large and some nice hair and body products were also available. One dinner was included in our rate and the restaurant was really excellent with nice views, good food and great service. The included breakfast was outstanding with several hot and cold choices. Service at breakfast was also great. We really liked this hotel and would commend the entire staff from check-in to check-out for the excellent service we enjoyed. Would love to come back!

I stayed at this hotel for one night in december and must say that the hotels website and reviews made me believe that this hotel would be worth the high price it is charging. Unfortunately it was a very different story. I should also have checked some of the not so good reviews on here and I would have been alerted much quicker. The room was super old and dated. The restaurant from the 70s and the hotel surroundings not looked after. What a difference to the glossy photos they have on their website. This was the first time after a very long time that I felt I completely overpaid for my stay and felt robbed. Also from looking at the not so good reviews, the hotel doesn't seem to take criticism very well. Even saying 'we spent twice 700k for renovations' - well don't, but I didn't see any of these renovations anywhere, and how does it matter? Then please charge the guests in the old 80s rooms significantly lower rates. You might say, why did you not complain on the day? Well, I did not, cause I was tired, just wanted to sleep, and why would it be up to me to complain if the hotel is overall just not up to scratch, don't put the blame on the guest for not complaining... Also not impressed with the restaurant, they started at 8.30 already with the preparations for breakfast, tables where moved, settings reassembled, while diners where still trying to enjoy the expensive meal. So, unfortunately I won't be returning. For anyone considering this hotel, be aware that it is overpriced, maybe ask for a modernised room early on and simply don't expect what the website and some of the reviews on here might lead you to believe.
