Hotel Fujikawaguchiko dengan Sarapan

For more general details about Fufu Kawaguchiko, please read my review from October 2020... We decided at the last minute to pay a visit to the Fuji Five Lakes area because the weather forecast called for a clear day (and hopefully a clear view of Mt. Fuji.) Thankfully, one room was available, and it was the exact same room as the one we stayed at the first time (Fufu Luxury Premium Suite, Room #408.) It's a top-floor corner suite with a separate bedroom/living room along with an expansive balcony and a free-flowing, open-air Onsen (natural hot springs) bath. As rooms go, it's pure bliss. Modern, tastefully furnished and decorated, bright and airy, and has all of the amenities and features one would expect when staying at a relatively new high-end property. We still feel that Fufu doesn't make the best use of its space - it's a bit busy, and consequently seems a bit less spacious than its specifications suggest (it's officially 136 square meters, although someone we can't help but feel that they're counting the balcony space as part of the overall room size.) It's really less of a ryokan and more of a hotel with ryokan-style elements. Shoes don't need to come off (although you're advised to do so in the guest rooms), they provide ”Samue” (sort of spa pajama/style) outfits rather than the traditional (and albeit more pretty but less comfortable) Yukatas, but still retain some of the common ryokan charms (and a few drawbacks.) The staff are relatively young, hip and ”pretty”, and more casually friendly than the typical traditional ryokan, which is good or bad, depending on your perspective. We enjoyed the high-energy vibe of the place, although we also do enjoy the finesse and quaintness that top traditional ryokans exhibit as well (Asaba is a perfect example of this.) The clientele are also more youthful than most other properties that we've stayed at - this is where the young, wealthy and beautiful go to see and be seen, that's for sure. Again, not necessarily a bad thing, but just a FYI. Not much has changed from our last stay, although I will say that we enjoyed the food offering a bit more this time. We learned that they brought in a new head chef, and while it's not a night-and-day difference, we did notice a quality and creative improvement from last time. A few specialty dishes were once again served, including a unique cheese gratin with Natto (fermented soybeans that is slimy and has a pungent odor) for breakfast - we enjoyed the dish, but not sure how many Westerners can handle Natto, which is a very acquired taste. While we wish there was an option to have meals served in one's own room, we do think that Fufu needs to have more ”ko****su” private dining rooms in the restaurant. They only have a handful of them, and priority goes to large groups or families with small children. When we go to a high-end ryokan, we prefer not to dine in an open, restaurant-style environment. Only managed to book 1 out of 2 nights of our stay in the Superior Room and had to book the 2nd night via Japanican (standard room). Both rooms were amazing in terms of size. Superior room’s amenities and furnishings, bathtub etc are more luxurious in comparison but Standard Room is really good enough when you enter to a full view of Mt Fuji at the windows. My view fm the Standard Room was much better compared to the Superior though. Only con at the Standard Room is probably the inability to go out to a balcony to take photos and had to deal with reflections. Hospitality at the front desk was largely good, except a harsh-sounding man whom attended to our bus pickup call request and another night-duty man who can’t speak English and only repeatedly uttered “sorry” and “nonono” when I called to ask for a pillow they missed out. Special mention and thanks to 2 ladies whom attended to us: 1. “AHN” or “ANH” who helped us with check-in to the room, and continued to serve us with helpful suggestions and the sincerest greetings whenever we bump into her in the ryokan. 2. We didn’t get her name. The lady who served us for dinners (16 & 17 Dec) and breakfast (17 Dec) at Room 桃の二. Really patient and tried her best to communicate with us in English for all our requests and questions about the food. For non-adventurous-foodies like us, the provided breakfasts and dinners are a great experience and an eye-opener, but also wasteful on the other hand as we ended up with much things we don’t eat (even after I’ve put in a string of dietary requests prior to check-in). Perhaps having a room-only option for booking would be good.

Room accommodations: 4/5 rating - The room is very clean, spacious, and simple. I got the Japanese tatami style room facing Mt. Fuji. It feels like a legit Japanese experience. The bathroom and the entry way is small. Dining: 5/5 rating - The included buffet food is AMAZING! This is by far one of the best buffets I've had in a while. It's simple and nothing crazy, but the food quality is surprisingly good. Service: 4/5 rating - Allows baggage check-in. Great shuttle service to and from key areas in Kawaguchiko. English proficiency is Medium to Low. The staff speak limited English.

Konansou was one of our highlights on our recent trip to Japan. My husband and I, along w our couple friends, stayed for two nights. The staff was so warm and friendly, especially Shirai at the front desk. She was incredibly patient and helpful as we figured out our bus/train tickets. They have a shuttle service to and from Kawaguchiko station, which made getting around in the rain and with bags really easy. (Tip: there is a pay phone at the station if you need to call them when you get in— there are instructions and the numbers of local hotels posted) The food was amazing! Ikeda was our server for our in room dinners, and he was kind and knowledgeable in all the different dishes and how to eat them. I was blown away by the attention to detail and variety of food. It was beautiful. It was our anniversary and we received a special gift— thank you!! Breakfast was a buffet and had a huge selection! It can get busy but there is a lot of seating. Our room was huge and had a beautiful view of the lake and its own private onsen. We enjoyed the quiet and location, which was easy to walk to. The public onsen had so many amenities and was spacious too— not sure if I was lucky, but I was the only one there! We also got to do karaoke, play table tennis, and did our laundry. There was also a rooftop foot spa, where got views of Mt Fuji! Everything you need is here!

Very Good value for money! With welcome drinks (juice & house wines) & snacks. Fusion fine dining dinner mixed with Japanese & western style, decent presentation & taste good. Cozy room setting with high quality drinks ware. Due to bad weather, we didn’t use the outdoor bath tub but we believe that it should have the FJ Mountain view. The 5 different hot-spring private rooms are special, no reservation is required & we tried the hot stone chair & felt good! The hot-spring section also provides to ice lolly & drinks. Buffet as the Morning breakfast with variety of foods but only serve till to 9:15am. Hotel pack up service with several time slots & operated on time.

This lovely hotel (its a bit dated, but everything is clean and very nice) is right on the lake, and very quiet. Its 10 minutes driving distance from the Kawaguchi-Ko bus stand/train station and there is a free hotel shuttle every hour. I would definitely go for rooms with a view - either of the lake, or of Fujisan. We went for rooms with lake view, and very much enjoyed it. The rooms are big and very comfortable, with a desk, an armchair and a sofa. There is also a small balcony, with amazing views of the lake. Its so peaceful, especially in the early morning or during sunset. The hotel is located in a large garden. There is an indoor and lovely outdoor onsen, where you can bath in the warm water whilst seeing bamboo and hearing birds. Breakfast is a good buffet. The restaurant for dinner is rather expensive, so i would recommend eating in one of the few restaurants in the small town.

我們由香港坐零晨機出發到羽田機場，整理好行李和入境手續后，來到接機大堂旁邊的高速巴士購票，簡單方便，剛好接上第一班巴士直接往河口湖。巴士未啟程前，還有時間吃個早餐和梳洗。往巴士站就從購票中心沿着旁邊通道走，依指示坐電梯或升降機也可到地下巴士站。巴士准士來到，乘搭時看清椘資料顯示板，有否錯誤，登車后就不用理直送河口湖站下車。 來到河口湖駅，徃左手邊走到盡頭，見遊客information，就是候車站，所有旅館巴士都在此接住客的，巴士時間表在酒店網頁找到;這站不用預約極方便。 小巴士準時到達，司機先生服務很好，數分鐘穿過窄窄小街，到達酒店。 其實酒店位置很好，近大路口，周遊巴士站就在附近不用轉折走到河口湖駅乘搭。 沿大馬路走，一端向巿中心，有食店和超市，另一端往湖邊及池上公園，還可以看到不同角度的富士山，路口正前方過馬路直走就是綠線周遊巴士的路段，慢慢走過去，到達八崎山公園，夏有香氣撲鼻的薰衣草，秋有紅葉，還有美術館，花園咖啡座等。公園地大有綠草如茵丘陵地，孩子們和毛孩可以跑上跑下，情侶和長者坐着長櫈看日落，湖景飛鳥，寫意極！三天住宿，有免費早餐及溫泉……收費便宜，整潔又寬敞的公共空間，我下次還會到訪，住在這裏，繼續未訪的景點！👍👍👍👍👍

My recent stay at Villa Yumefuji Kawaguchiko was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the stunning surroundings of Kawaguchiko with breathtaking views. The villa itself is a perfect blend of traditional Japanese architecture and modern amenities. The rooms are spacious, elegantly designed, and offer panoramic views.. The staff at Villa Yumefuji Kawaguchiko were incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was comfortable and memorable. Their attention to detail and personalized service truly set this villa apart. One of the highlights of my stay was the private onsen (hot spring) available at the villa. Soaking in the warm waters was a truly rejuvenating experience. Overall, Villa Yumefuji Kawaguchiko exceeded all my expectations and provided me with a truly unforgettable stay. I highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a luxurious and authentic Japanese experience in Kawaguchiko.”

We are staying in F cabin cos there are 3 of us. Staff and service are great. Best glamping experience (we had Dutch oven dinner). I am lucky to see a glimpse of mt. Fuji from our room. Overall experience is lovely but not for the price I paid. Breakfast box is a must have.

We absolutely loved this hotel. Our room (one with a private onsen on the terrace) was huge and had everything we could possibly have needed - fridge/freezer with complimentary sparkling wine and water. Tea, coffee and biscuits. Nightly chocolates. Tons of bathroom amenities and a range of clothing to wear in the resort and in the room. Our private onsen was the perfect temperature and had a fantastic view of Fujisan. The bed was huge and comfy. Lighting was really intelligently placed and there were plenty of plug sockets too. The food in the restaurant (4 courses plus anything you want from the buffet!) was excellent both nights and they kindly adapted one course to suit us as we don’t eat meat. Breakfast was generous too with a range of Japanese, other Asian and Western options. There were few Westerners staying when we were there. The English language skills of the staff is variable but with smiling, guessing and google translate we all managed to make ourselves understood and we found everyone very friendly and patient with our horrible Japanese! All in all, our stay was perfect and we hope to return one day soon!
