Ulasan Grand Inn Canalside

I would recommend this place if you’re looking to explore the city on your own. It’s really convenient and the room has a washing machine - so you can pack light! Check in is self service and electronic. Convenient. Location is walking distance to main shopping areas Hakata Station and Tenjin. Canal City and Grand Hyatt is a 2min walk Room has two beds and two balconies! Not to mention a view of the canal river Fridge and kitchen for you to make a small breakfast before you go out. The only thing I would say is the down side is this: No daily housekeeping- that’s fine with me anyway. You have a vacuum cleaner in the room. The pillows were a bit dirty (had hair on it) The fridge had a dead insect in it. All easily removable though

Quiet amidst the hustle and bustle! Canal City Hakata is right next door, and there are also convenience stores. Prices are affordable.

Right across from Canal City, it's convenient for getting around, but a bit far from Hakata and Tenjin, over a 15-minute walk. The nearest subway station is also about an 8-minute walk away.

Large spacious rooms, conveniently located within walking distance to Canal City Hakata and the Yatai street. There's no staff on location but they are reachable via the check-in tablet and are very responsive. One night my door jammed and we called the staff past midnight to help fix it. They arrived within 15 mins and was very helpful. Rooms are clean but the mattress and pillow covers are hit and miss - there were dried stains on the ones in my parents room, and one of my rooms pillow cover had a few strands of hairs on it. Hence one point deducted for cleanliness. Overall would highly recommend for groups.

We have stayed for two nights, the actual place is a bit different from the photos, actually the room is smaller . You can see the room is a big worn out need to do maintenance. The location is excellent with river view.

The hotel locates in between Tenjin and Hakata and it is close to the Canal City Hakata which is very convenient. Self check in is easy to use and the room is spacious. A very comfortable stay.

The location of this property is truly superb. It's within easy walking distance to both Hakata Station and Canal City, with a fantastic selection of restaurants right on your doorstep. You really don't need a car to stay here. The room itself is very spacious, especially by Japanese standards for 3-4 people. It's includes a separate living room, a washing machine, and divided bathroom and toilet—all of which made our family stay incredibly convenient. The only downside was that the bed wasn't very comfortable. Overall, a great stay for the space and location!

Walking needed as it’s not in the city centre but easy access to any location

Living room furniture layout could be improved for bigger groups for easier movement. Would be a bonus if the dryer can be combined with the washing machine in the room as it's inconvenient to bring it down. Cleanliness was excellent with great toiletries provided. No parking facilities but since Canalside provides affordable parking, it's perfectly fine. There is a shopping center nearby and donki is also walking distance so everything is fine.

Comfortable stay, close to the mall. Walking distance to the train stations. 

Very clean, good location, walking distance to conbinis, malls and street stalls. Highly recommend.
