The hotel facilities are complete, with lots of space for kids to play, and the decor style is perfect for families with children. The room is very large; it feels like four or five people could comfortably stay in one room. The room is clean and hygienic. There are public commercial facilities and hot springs on the island, but you need to drive to them. The hotel front desk service was warm and thoughtful. They even gave us a takeout box for the leftover eggs and bread from breakfast, and when we checked out, they gave each of us a small gift and bottled water. I absolutely loved it! 😍 I'll definitely come again.

We were passing by Changbai Mountain, saw the good weather, and figured we'd be able to see Heaven Lake, so we made a last-minute decision to stay. We booked Luneng on the fly during the off-season, and they upgraded us to a suite. The room was huge and the bed was very comfortable. However, the water pressure in Changbai Mountain is generally very low, even in big hotels, which made showering quite unsatisfying. Also, it would be great if they could add a latex pillow; the down pillows offered little support for us larger folks, and I woke up with a stiff neck the next day. The hotel environment is excellent, and the restaurants within the resort are also quite good. While staying at the hotel offers access to hot springs and various entertainment, it's not a big draw for us older guests. However, we stayed two nights, and they gave us a discount on the pet cleaning fee, which was very kind. If you're traveling with pets and want to see Heaven Lake from the south slope, this is a good place to stay as it's close to the south entrance.
Finally, the only thing that puzzled me was why we couldn't park in the main entrance parking lot. Our car is large, and turning out of that exit is quite inconvenient. On the first day, two hotel maintenance vehicles were even blocking the road in the parking lot. Honestly, when the outdoor parking is full, everyone ends up parking underground anyway because it leads directly into the hotel lobby, haha. Especially for those with pets, after checking in, you can discreetly take the elevator up from the underground parking garage because the front desk can't see you there. You could potentially save the 300 cleaning fee that way.

We stayed at Hollick within Luneng, on the west slope of Changbai Mountain.
It's closer to the south slope but further from the west slope, about a 20-minute drive to Wanda. It's a bit inconvenient if you don't have a car.
Hyatt Regency has its own mini-program, and all the benefits are in the QR code. It's not very close to the adventure park or Kui Lu Farm.
The food at Hyatt Regency is really bad. There's not a single good restaurant in the adjacent commercial street, so definitely avoid eating there. It's a bit far to drive to Songjianghe Town and Wanda Resort, which really needs improvement, otherwise, the experience is greatly diminished. The hotel has plenty of free parking spaces.
The scenery at Hollick is truly beautiful. In the morning, you can see distant mountains and mist, and at night, the fountains downstairs sparkle, making night-mode photos look like paintings. You can also enjoy a wonderful starry sky while strolling around the hotel.
We used the hot springs included in the benefits, but didn't experience much else. Breakfast was at Magpie Tree across the street, and it was good, though the selection was a bit limited. We went to a bonfire party in the evening, watched the iron flower show, and there was also a smoke and light show in the plaza downstairs, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. My child loved the children's playground downstairs.
We stayed for six nights and were generally satisfied. The room was spacious, and the hardware and infrastructure were all very new. The service was prompt. The decor has a modern, log-cabin feel. Although the furniture is laminate wood, at least the style is consistent. Hollick offers good value for money.
One minor drawback was that, as autumn approached, we had quite a few small flies on two days. The hotel promptly helped deal with them, but I'm not sure if the screens weren't great or if the windows were left open during cleaning. Having so many small flies around the window was a bit off-putting.
The shower in the second bathroom was a bit difficult to use, but it was a product issue, not broken.

This was my first time staying at this hotel brand, and I was pleasantly surprised by how great it was! The views are absolutely stunning – I even got to see the 'sun-kissed golden mountains' [a natural phenomenon where the sunrise hits the mountain tops, making them glow golden]. The design is fantastic. A staff member proactively contacted me to introduce the check-in process and the wonderful activities available, like the scenic shuttle. Breakfast was plentiful, and for dinner, I specifically ordered the 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork), which was uniquely delicious with the sourness from hawthorn berries – it really worked! I took a walk around the entire property, which is about 8 kilometers, and the scenery was beautiful every step of the way. Kids can feed alpacas, deer, pigs, and rabbits. I loved it so much, I definitely want to come back!

We had a fantastic 3-day, 2-night stay at Club Med!
**Let's talk about the food first.** It was incredibly varied, with different specialties each day. On the first day, we enjoyed a Southeast Asian food festival featuring Laksa and Tom Yum soup. The chef's recommendation for dinner was 'sea cucumber and millet porridge'. On the second night, we booked a hot pot dinner (you need to book at the main restaurant entrance by 12 PM for dinner), and it was excellent. The chef's recommended 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork) was, I believe, the most authentic I've ever tasted! Breakfast options also changed daily, with kids able to choose pancakes or waffles. Make sure to try the Changbai Mountain special drink or flower tea at the bar.
**Now, for the activities.** The indoor activity areas are mainly on the 3rd and 4th floors, and the hot springs are conveniently located on the 1st floor, making it easy to hop from one activity to the next! (Note: mountain biking and scootering require booking on the mini-program the day before.) We started our morning at 9 AM with a scooter lesson (beginner level) with Coach Chen, who was handsome and very patient. Afterward, we went to the 4th floor for a stretching class with Coach Yang John, which was wonderfully relaxing. Then, we headed to the 3rd floor for another fitness class with Coach Yang. The atmosphere was great with both adults and kids participating. So, we had three activities packed into the morning – very fulfilling! After lunch, we sang karaoke and played table tennis, then headed to the 1st-floor hot springs. Dinner was hot pot at 6 PM, followed by a fun trivia quiz on the 3rd floor at 7:30 PM, and a live performance by the entertainers at 8:30 PM, also on the 3rd floor. It was a joyful and well-spent day!
Outside the hotel, there's an activity center, which was a paradise for my younger child. He went there for two consecutive days and absolutely loved the 'Brave Challenge Course,' playing it three times! The hotel provides electric shuttle buses to the activity center every 20 minutes, which is quite convenient.
**Finally, my overall impression.** Club Med's quality is consistently excellent! What impressed me most this time was the staff's enthusiasm. We were lucky enough to catch their newly rehearsed show, which featured a variety of dances including Korean, Mongolian, Dai, and Jazz. The village chief even performed ballet, bringing a sense of beauty to everyone. A big shout-out to all the staff! I'd also like to give a special thank you to Winnie, who helped us plan our itinerary in advance, making our trip even smoother and more enriching.
Changbai Mountain not only offers stunning scenery but also the warm hospitality of the Northeast. I hope to visit again!

Facilities: This was my parents' and children's first trip to Northeast China, so I specifically chose a hotel with local cultural characteristics. We stayed at West Slope for 4 days, and this hotel was definitely the most satisfying. I was so glad we only booked one night at the two Wanda hotels beforehand; once we got to Yuanxiang Minshu (Original Folk Inn), I really wished we could have stayed another night, even in the snowy weather, just to explore. The kids even said of the breakfast, 'I want to try a little bit of everything!' And the outdoor Baisha Peak was absolutely captivating.
Hygiene: This hotel offers excellent value for money. You can tell the quality by the towels.
Environment: It's located in a separate area of Huamei, with shuttle carts available for transport. It's perfect for a stroll; everywhere is vibrant and full of life, with grass gently swaying and a refreshing floral scent in the air. The hot springs and other areas are about 1 kilometer away, which was ideal for a morning run with the family. Outside the window, there's lush greenery, and directly opposite the entrance is the Shaman stage.
Service: The service response was very prompt and generous, clearly reflecting professional hotel standards. This is the only hotel I would recommend for a trip to Changbai Mountain West Slope.
A truly perfect Changbai Mountain vacation experience! The hotel is nestled at the foot of Changbai Mountain, boasting magnificent scenery, especially the view from the room, which is simply picturesque. The Guanlan Hot Spring lives up to its name; soaking in the natural hot spring completely washed away all our fatigue. Special praise goes to the front desk staff for their exceptionally attentive and professional service. A special thank you to employee number 5040, who provided us with incredibly warm and meticulous assistance from check-in to check-out, patiently answering all our questions and making us feel right at home. Both in terms of facilities and service, this hotel deserves a five-star recommendation, and I will definitely choose it again next time I visit Changbai Mountain.
The hotel is relatively remote in the development zone. It is difficult to eat in the town 3 kilometers away. So I can pack it back to the hotel to eat because I want to drink. The room was large, spacious and bright. After I checked in, I found that some lights were broken and not bright. The boss immediately arranged for repairs. The service was still very thoughtful. The sanitary environment is very good.
I went to Changbai Mountain during the 11th holiday. It was good to have such a hotel near the scenic spot. It was clean and hygienic. The key proprietress was very good. Before I came, I communicated by phone and asked to bring more clothes. I learned that we were traveling by car late and left us a parking space. There is a place to eat next to it. The amount is large and affordable. Meet the need to rest during the journey.
Newly opened in September 2026, the facilities are nice, not overly fancy, and the beds are great; I slept soundly.
However, the management team seems relatively inexperienced and clearly new. For example, while the road is being repaired at the entrance, consider laying out a blanket in the lobby to help catch dust and prevent mud and water from entering, saving the front desk from constant mopping. The cleaning and construction team, while guests are staying, swiping their own cards to enter (to move chairs) without knocking is clearly inappropriate and warrants attention.
5 points for encouragement. With the opening of the high-speed rail station, I wish this place continued success.
