Beautiful hotel, overlooking the water. Pool with sauna, steam room and an outdoor hot tub. Wonderful breakfast. overall a great experience. Walking distance to all you would want in Galway. Wonderful staff to direct you for whatever you need.

We stayed at the Ardilaun over the mid term break and what a WONDERFUL few days it was, the kids thoroughly enjoyed every minute! Their highlight was having breakfast with the witch, she even made time to go around to every table and pose for photos, they couldnt wait to show granny and grandad and tell all their friends at school. Scavenger hunt was a hit, nice way to pass some time and they were rewarded with ice cream!. They loved the swimming pool and they got to meet some furry friends in the lobby while mum and dad enjoyed a glass of wine after a delicious meal in the bistro. Gardens are such a bonus and outdoor seating areas. Thank you to the amazing staff of the Ardilaun for making this a truly wonderful family break. We will be bqck!!

We visited for two nights, the first of which was our anniversary. We were provided expedited access as we arrived early, and a lovely and thoughtful welcome amenity. The hotel is located within walking distance from the city center, the complimentary parking in an attached garage is a huge benefit, and the breakfast included with our room was filling and tasty. The room was spotless and very large, and the bed comfortable. The uniformly helpful, professional, and pleasant staff made the visit more than the sum of its parts. They really were first-rate. I recommend this property without (so to speak) reservation.

Stayed recently for a family wedding. On checking in we mentioned that we wouldn’t be able to have breakfast as we were checking out early. The receptionist (missed her name) immediately offered to have something ready to take with us. Then met Louise and the team as they welcomed us to the service. Met a member of the team (think maintenance) as I was ordering a pint and he asked how was the Guinness, genuinely asking was it up to standard (certainly was). Met Stevo as he checked in on the dinner service. The team I’ve mentioned along with every one else on duty worked with a smile and attention, right down to the night porter who gave us our breakfast to go. Old school hospitality at its best!!

We had a lovely stay in The Connought Hotel. The room was very spacious, the bed was very comfortable. The hotels amenities were plentiful, very easy to get taxis, breakfast was delicious. Will definitely return.

LI feel bad writing this but after Sending 2 emails 2 weeks apart with photos and not so much as a reply let alone call, I feel in this day and age paying €320 for a family room and getting this room! It was awful to say after many happy events here including out wedding that it’s gone down hill. People don’t have money to be going away for a night to get a dirty room with is it mould? I haven’t got a reply so I can’t confirm if it’s dirt or mould, even our 6 yr old asked was there a hole in there ceiling, it’s not about bad mouthing the hotel as the food and pool was lovely but paying big money and they only have a few family rooms so don’t accept room 341.

Spent a few nights here with friends recently. Check in was smooth with a very friendly Aoife . Room was a good size , very comfortable beds and a spotless bathroom with bath and rain shower . The bar food was tasty and reasonably priced , the service was fast and efficient and we did not feel in any way rushed . The staff were friendly and smiling . Plenty of choice for breakfast . We will be back !

What a lovely location, a gorgeous hotel and the swimming pool was great with the added bonus of an outside hot tub overlooking the sea. My room was 631 with a large king bed, desks, adequate bathroom with bath and shower, seats with table, desk and TV and all the usual facilities in a hotel room. No sockets by the bed though which is something all hotels need to have now but that was the only criticism of the room. Staff where lovely, helpful and friendly although I give 4 stars as check-in didnt happen for 10 minutes due to no staff being at the reception, no idea why but it got sorted OK. The hotel is clean, the room was clean, well presented and very welcoming. I had breakfast which was the normal cooked breakfast buffet, toasts, pancakes, breads, cereals, tea or coffee, juices with plenty of seating options and a view of the sea. The staff were great, the food was good and the atmosphere relaxed. The view gives you a great start to the day. I used the pool which was great. Some families there with kids, a swimming lane, working steam room, sauna and heated jacuzzi. The outside hottub is amazing. It is a must do at this hotel. It was raiing on my stay so the outside tennis court and kids play area werent being used but its worth a mention that they have these. Location feels remote but its only 5-10 minutes from Salthill and Galway by car. There is a petrol station beside the hotel on the main road and a small village. I guess you access the hotel by car, taxi or bus.
