We visited for two nights, the first of which was our anniversary. We were provided expedited access as we arrived early, and a lovely and thoughtful welcome amenity. The hotel is located within walking distance from the city center, the complimentary parking in an attached garage is a huge benefit, and the breakfast included with our room was filling and tasty. The room was spotless and very large, and the bed comfortable. The uniformly helpful, professional, and pleasant staff made the visit more than the sum of its parts. They really were first-rate. I recommend this property without (so to speak) reservation.

After an overnight flight into Dublin, there are several bus lines and regular services to drive you to Galway (expect about a 2 hour drive). From the bus stations in Galway it's a 15 minute cab ride (less than 20 Euros). Galway Bay Hotel has a great view on Galway Bay within walking distance of the suburb of Salthill restaurant and bar area. You are however a good 30 minute walk from the Latin quarter of Galway city and its historical venues. Galway Bay Hotel has its charms with vast rooms and dedicated staff. I can not however give this an ”Excellent” nor a ”Good” score. First there is no AC. First night there the weather was unseasonably warm, and it was uncomfortable. Although the room was clean, there was lingering musty smell (I suppose it was coming from the carpet). Overall it's a good stay but manage certain expectations.

Lovely friendly atmosphere, comfortable and spotlessly clean. Rooms are big and the bed is so comfortable sad that we only stayed the 1 night. Special shout out to Edie at breakfast, excellent customer care skills, you made us so welcome, sorry if we all (20 off us) talked to you for too long, you're a little star.

Had an amazing 2 day stay with my mom. We come up every few months, and this will defo be our new place to stay. We absolutely loved it, beautiful views from the sea view rooms and really good breastfast. Hotel didn’t feel overly busy and staff very friendly and helpful. Can’t wait for our next stay in July😊
