Voyage Songfum Retreat

The property was very well maintained and was assisted by the front office manager Mr.Vishal. He welcomed us and provided timely services whenever requested. The rooms were very clean with very good breakfast options catering to all cuisines. The property’s location is also ideal to most of the tourist spots including Nathula pass, baba mandir and local Gangtok tour. However, we had a terrible experience with the sales team of the resort and specifically to mention, Ms.Diksha. When we were sourcing for transport booking, she told us the resort would provide us one car and one driver for all 4 days and charged INR 26,000. She in fact discouraged us from going to other providers by telling that these providers cheat tourists by giving a different car and different driver everyday. However to our disbelief, we were given two different drivers and cars for airport pick up and drop off and one driver and car for sightseeing. These change of drivers and cars were not what was promised and we had to discover all this ourselves with no prior intimations from her. I had to communicate these changes with the sales team, driving company and driver. When questioned about this, her answers were to not addressing the root of the problem which was her promise but more toward that she solved the problem for the day. We found this extremely unprofessional from their side. It was a great experience at the property for us, however, it was ruined by the sales team’s attitude creating an impression for us.

Voyage Songfum Retreat is located outside the main areas of Gangtok, approximately 8 kilometers from MG Marg, the central tourist hub. Traveling to the main areas from the hotel takes about 30 minutes. This distance necessitates having a personal car (self-drive) or a car with a driver for easy commuting. Gangtok and its surroundings are known for their relaxed pace. This means most activity winds down after 6:30-7:00 PM, making it difficult to find cabs after a certain time. This can limit accessibility from the hotel in the evenings. There's a school right next to the property, so if you're seeking complete silence for naps, be aware that there might be some noise in the mornings. When we checked in, we seemed to be the only guests. As a result, the breakfast buffet wasn't available, and only à la carte options were offered. However, everything we ordered from the buffet menu was delicious. One of the Best Resort we have stayed. Not for so many days but we will plan next visit for a longer time. Hospitality was superb, all the staffs are so cooperative. Quality of foods are also good but have to improve more. And the main thing is the VIEW... From room, or balcony we can see the view of Mountains. It was superb view.. Overall a great stay with great hospitality. Thank you. Will suggest to visit everyone.

Myself Priyanka first time we came to gangtok..we stay in voyage songfum retreat resort...the resort was awesome..I would say beautiful property with fabulous staff...hospitality like 5 start hotel...ambience....rooms I must say wow 👌 and food was delicious you never get the taste from any where.which you get here with variety...once you must visit....

This is one of the best property in Gangtok away from the crowd. This place is very peaceful and the view from the hotel is just mesmerizing. Not just this, this hotel also serves delicious food in their in-house restaurant. Also, I have experienced their hot stone bath which was the best experience so far. Rooms are big and every rooms in the property have a balcony with the view of mountains. This is highly recommended for the people who wants the luxury experience.
