This review combines both the hotel and the restaurant The Social Bar & Bistro. I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. Check-in was flawless - I had the key within 30 seconds of arrival. My room was located in the south-west corner of the hotel. There was no noise from the airport, even though the runway was less than 500 m away. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and the minibar was reasonably well stocked. There was a balcony equipped with a small table and two chairs. I would have appreciated it if someone had removed the dust on the furniture. Also - there were bird droppings on the railing - it seemed that a clattering of jackdaws lived nearby. Please do clean the bird excrement. I visited the Social Bar & Bistro for an evening meal. I got seated quickly. There were not many guests - perhaps around 10. The waiter was quick and attentive. I chose the ”Catch of the Day” from the menu: Oven baked or perhaps fried salmon with oven baked small potatoes, vegetables and sauce. When it was served - to my surprise - it was really warm, probably straight from the oven. Nice! And it was really, really tasty. Unfortunately - during the time I was eating the main course - 15 more guests arrived, and service broke down, as there was only one useful waiter. I waited a while to order dessert, but it took too long so I decided to pay at the counter and leave. I parked my car at the hotel - NOK 345 for 38 hours.

Good clean hotel , close to airport ,shuttle came 2x per hour, 80 kronor one way per person, no senior discount, takes 10 minutes Train from airport goes downtown central Nice breakfast Friendly service Wifi could improve , some voice traffic was blocked Wifi was fully open at scandic across the street Air con was good 24/7 reception

This was the last leg of the Norway trip. We wanted to be close to the airport to fly out the next day. It was SUPER close and a covered walkway. Breakfast was included with our room. Restaurant on lobby floor. Clean room.

The flight was cancelled and I had to find a hotel at 2030 at night the room as clean and comfortable but the barthroom was full of small hairs whe food was nice but very expensive. Would stay again.

Some misfortune and issues. Booking of a superior room for 1 adult and 2 kids on trip.com with king size bed, they said. Flight scheduled on sunday around 8h something When entering the room 4016, very far from the lift, there was only 2 single beds and a sofa not prepared. The front desk moved us to 4440, very close to the lift, family room, clean except some Stains on the kids mattress (the one on the upstairs bunk bed), no kettle for tea.....no king size bed and very noisy (kids from the side or anywhere but you Can hear jumping, the voices....until midnight) and noise from the airplanes. But the breakfast could change everything....but on a sunday, before 07h, there is a pre breakfast, but nothing hot meal like eggs and bacon. It was good quality and sufficient for me, but not exceptional like in an other nearby hôtel in the same Timing conditions. Even After 07h00, hot meal would have been better but not exceptional like..... 7/10 for the rate, a little bit disappointed and 6,5/10 for the breakfast. Das Frühstück ist das Highlight in diesem Hotel, unglaublich gut und die Auswahl mehr als ausreichend. Die Zimmer könnten klimatisiert sein, das trifft wahrscheinlich in Norwegen eher nur auf wenige Wochen zu. Die Betten sind gut, die Zimmer ausreichen ausgestattet. Ich hätte mir eine Art Pantoffeln gewünscht, da ich Teppichboden nicht so gerne Barfuss in Hotels begehe. Vielleicht kann man da nachbessern.

No Free airport shuttle but there is a free way...The shuttle bus that runs between all nearby hotels & airport will cost Nok 80 (7 Euro per person,May '24 prices). But please take the government bus 420 from the airport will cost 42 Nok(3.80 euro pp),the stop is on the main road about 80 meters from the hotel entrance. I travelled for free by using the 24 hour day pass from ruter app( remember to purchase zone 4 or if you want to travel only between airport and hotel or buy from zone 4 to zone 1 ,that covers all over Oslo including tram, train and ferries.Zone 1 is Oslo city area). Zone 4 to Zone 1, a 24 hour ticket will cost you Nok 124( euro 10.90) which will cover all your transport needs in Oslo for 24 hours under 11 euro!,great Value.Taxis are costly in Oslo ,so as everything else!!! The hotel is basic,not luxury,good for a transit stop or if you are on a budget. I paid euro 86 per night for 2 people ( 43 pp/ per night including breakfast). Self check in possible. A very good breakfast served from 4 am. No daily cleaning, they clean on the third day only.Only Extra facility offered is Gym and sauna. Tip: Request for a room with runway view, it's very close to the runway,you can see almost all take offs, even they have benches and tables for plane spotters at the back of the hotel.

Located near the airport so convenient for those not going far. Absolutely nothing else nearby. Except Macdonald Hotel offers unlimited espresso coffee and tea so thumbs up! Bar and restaurant available at hotel but no public work area. Loud music at 3am. But that’s guest problem not hotel management ~ Must say best breakfast so far in all the hotels I’ve stayed at this trip in Europe.

I needed to be in a few meetings in Oslo and had to fly in and fly out so the airport location was perfect and the reliable train connection to get to the city from the airport. Its a convenient short walk from the terminal. You can take your trolley if you wish. My most memorable feature was the large, outsized fitness center. A lot of airline staff seem to stay here. Hotel also gave the flexibility to extend my stay (paying) by half day. I needed to do a few meetings late in the afternoon before my flight and it was not something I wanted to do from the airport.

The photo sold it to me! I wanted a hotel close to the airport for our first night and the photo showed an interesting, characterful building, not the anonymous amorphous blockhouses of the competition. Some might argue that it is a little dated but it has everything you need. My daughter and I agreed that it was one of the nicest hotels we stayed in during our trip. Perhaps not the swishest or poshest, but friendly helpful staff who are actually there to help you. We chose to rebook for our our return journey, and despite arriving as the evening meal was close to winding up there was a filling enjoy meal for me. They have a dedicated airport shuttle - very useful. And the hotel uses keys - big metal things that are hard to lose! I strongly reccommend this establishment.
