Hotel berhampiran Gary Southshore Railcats, Gary

Comfortable and affordable. A bit difficult to get to. You can see it from the expressway but then you have to drive at least a mile around to get to the hotel itself. And either eat before you get there in the evening or you will have to drive quite a ways to find a restaurant because it is quite isolated. We did DoorDash and that worked OK. There was a stain in the carpet, but otherwise the room was very clean, including the bathroom, shower, etc. If in the area, we would use this hotel again .

Dalam perjalanan perniagaan dengan ayah saya, saya lewat di sini untuk satu malam. Selalunya saya suka ada dapur bila tinggal di hotel. Ia sangat mudah sama ada untuk minum atau minum makanan panas. Dapur hotel ini sangat besar, dan peralatan makan yang lengkap. Walaupun tak berani sangat nak guna masa wabak ni, sekurang-kurangnya ada semuanya 😂 Lokasi hotel bagus untuk tempat kecil ini. Setelah dibuka, bilik pintu itu memang sangat besar dan sangat bersih. Sikap perkhidmatan meja depan juga baik. Prestasi kos tinggi, disyorkan.

We spent the night there while traveling home from vacation. Since we are Diamond members of Hilton, we try to stay at a Hilton family hotel. This hotel was rated pretty well so we figured it was a decent place to stay. We had some valuable items in our car that needed to come into the hotel with us and I loaded up the cart to take them into our room. Heading into the hotel, a gentleman informed me that someone’s lovely child had pulled the fire alarm and the elevators wouldn’t work. So we had to haul all of it up the stairs with no one to assist us (my husband had major surgery a little over 6 weeks ago and should not have been lifting these heavy things). There was pink ice cream hardened on the carpeted stairway that no one had addressed. Arriving into our room, we were greeted by drapes that had been shredded by someone (see picture). This definitely did not live up to Hilton standards. I would have left then but it was 10pm and we were exhausted. In the morning, I was going to take a shower but it looked so nasty there was no way I was going into it. I then called the front desk to see whether the elevator had been repaired yet…it had not. However, the phone in the room didn’t work so I had to call them from my cell phone. I asked to speak with the manager to address the issues we had with this room and was told it wasn’t only my room but that they were going to remodel the place and weren’t fixing things that needed to be repaired. I also mentioned that no one had offered to help us bring our items up the stairs the night before and there was no offer of helping us bring these items back down either, after my sharing with her the fact that my husband had surgery recently. We will never know if this is the truth because we will NEVER revisit this dump.
