This hotel is Excellent. After missing my flight and getting a recommendation from the Geneva airport, I booked the room. The staff was very sympathetic to my situation an went out of their way to assist. When I arrived Giulia and Pov helped me with an international charger for my laptop and an early check in. The hotel itself is top notch and near really good shopping. My day completely turned around within minutes. During the evening Karim and Miguel helped me all of my preparation for my trip tomorrow. This hotel has an excellent restaurant great service plus a shuttle to the airport for tomorrow morning.

A small quiet, friendly and comfortable hotel ideally situated one block back from the lake, with the train station, bus station, shopping area and old town all within easy walking distance. The rooms are very comfortable and spotlessly clean with superior toiletries. A very comfortable stay. A good breakfast offering. The only negative was a limited restaurant but there are several others nearby that the helpful reception will recommend and help with booking. Perfect, would recommend.

The hotel and staff looked after us exceptionally well during our first stay to Geneva. The room was ready as we arrived at the hotel at 9:30am and they had kindly upgraded us to a room with a lake view to celebrate the reason for our trip. The staff could not have been more welcoming, kind and helpful during our stay. The concierge was extremely helpful and gave us many tips on where to visit during our stay. The breakfast was amazing and the setting is really special. The hotel is a 40 minute walk to the old town which we enjoyed each day, although the hotel do offer guests a travel card which allows use of public transport which was super easy. The swimming pool is wonderful - the only downside to our trip was our final day when there wasn't enough sun beds at the pool and we would recommend that perhaps hotel guests could reserve the beds to ensure this didn't happen. All in all a fabulous trip one that we will remember and the hotel 10/10!

We stayed at the IBIS for 4 nights and paid £370 which I thought was good value we had to pay taxes on top of that which was another 30 Swiss francs on arrival. The hotel is a little way out its about a 15 min walk to the train station but it a 5 min walk to the tram stop and you can get that across to old town so it is a really accessible hotel for a good price. The hotel its self was great the room was clean and spacious and the check in was good we didn’t eat here but we did sit in the bar at night and play cards all the staff were very welcoming I think for the price we paid I would book again the reason I didn’t give it 5 stars was due to the fact we asked for clean towels and didn’t get them and we asked for an extra pillow but were told no spare pillows could be found

I stayed here with the family last week. It is a two minute drive from the centre, over the main bridge with the large fountain on the left. We had two rooms, a single and a double. The single room had no tea and coffee facilities and the windows were outdated and difficult to open and close. The shower worked fine, but the toilet was made from cheap plastic and there were insufficient plugs in the room for adaptors. The larger room was not much better, with the overall room being quite small due to having a double bed in it. There was no hair dryer of ironing facilities in the larger room although the smaller room had a hair dryer and there was an iron and ironing board available because it was often left outside a room on the floor with the board propped up against a wall and the iron left standing on the floor When we arrived we realised we would have to pay about an extra 30 Fr a day for parking which you left at the door and the staff parked the cars at the side of the hotel for you. If you wanted your car at anytime, you just had to ask reception who would give you the key. There was a dining room on the ground floor for breakfast, which often consisted of some German sausage bacon and scrambled egg (always the same 3 things) with rolls and croissants, some fruit cocktail and bread for toasting. The toaster sometimes did not work though. The butter was actually margarine but there were a few preserves available. The coffee and juice were dispensed from large urns at the side. Although the hotel was literally only a five minute walk from the large Ferris wheel by the lake, it was very outdated and needs money spent to modernise it. The location is really good, but the hotel itself is very much of its time, somewhere between the 1950/60s. The staff were very friendly and spoke French and English, but the place itself definitely needs a refurbishment.

Typical Relaix & Chateau experience. Beautiful lobby, nice sized, clean and well appointed rooms (even in the lower categories), excellent restaurant (at the higher end of the price spectrum), polite and helpful employees who speak multiple languages (including English). The hotel is in a central area with many restaurants, sights and a Coop mini market within walking distance. Place de Longmalle has controls that limit vehicle traffic in front of the hotel. This was an unexpected benefit and did not adversely affect pickup or drop off by Uber drivers or tour guides. Would highly recommend this hotel for business and leisure travelers.

Clean hotel. Room adequate for short stay. Clean and decent shower room. Air con worked well which was good as very warm outside. Arrived in morning and Couldn’t check in till afternoon but staff locked luggage in a room so could go exploring Geneva without carrying baggage about. You know what you are getting with an Ibis if comparing that the room isn’t beg enough or no kettle then book somewhere else. Good location near train station and everything is within easy reach by tram or bus.

It's so easy to write a review when the issues identified in the review of a previous stay last year remain uniformly the same. And since the hotel at that time wrote, ”you can be assured that your remarks will be discussed with our team so that your next visit will give you complete satisfaction”, but obviously did nothing, it seems fair to deduct another star from the rating. It's a pity, but I don't see why the blatant lie should be overlooked. So, copying word-for-word from my last review, ”almost all [problems] concerned breakfast, where the potatoes were tough and dry, where the buffet included no fish products (no lox, no hering, no whitefish) and no mushrooms, where the selection of bread was like that of a two- or at most three-star hotel.” Yes, it's exactly the same now as it was then. There are no other significant deficiencies at this property, overlooking the fact that it is a bit dated overall (though in good shape as far as I could see). Positives include: - Breakfast open from 05:45, this already sets the hotel apart - Gym fully equipped and open 24 hours; there is even apparently a pool - Room was large, with both a bathtub and a shower stall - Easily walkable from the airport (signage not perfect in a couple of spots) - Executive lounge food selection in the evening not very inspiring, just managed to be adequate Really, the hotel should address the deficiencies related to breakfast AND not dishonestly imply that you're going to but then fail to.

Visited Geneva to celebrate our 50 th wedding anniversary and stayed at the outstanding Ritz Carlton Hotel de La Paix, Geneva. The hotel and especially the staff are exceptionally outstanding in every way. The hotel was elegantly beautiful, old world charm and beauty with striking modern accents. But most of all, the staff from the doorman to the reception staff, the concierge, and the manager as well as the staff from the Living Room Kitchen and Bar were always warm, welcoming and ready to help make our stay a trip of a lifetime. We will always remember our stay and the staff at the Ritz Carlton Hotel de LaPaix. Thank you to all!

Very close to train station. Across main road and a minute walk. Lots around the hotel, Starbucks, McDonald’s, various restaurants and cafes. Coop small supermarket and other shops. Our room was very clean, cleaned every day. Simply furnished with modern fittings and a great shower, good towels, tv, kettle, tea/coffee bits. Everything you need. Breakfast is served on the 8th floor, with great views and was also immaculate though we didn’t have breakfast during our stay. 5 minutes walk to river. There was quite a bit of noise late at night in the area behind the hotel (car park and street) , our window was open and it didn’t bother us. I’m sure with windows closed the noise would be far less. Staff at reception were very friendly.
