Hôtel très bien situé près de la gare, service irréprochable avec un personnel bienveillant et très sympathique, des prix flexibles par rapport aux autres hôtels à Genève. On vous mets à disposition un pass pour circuler librement dans les transports de la ville ce qui est très pratique, les chambres spacieuses, propres et si vous choisissez de ranger votre chambre on vous offre des boissons gratuites. Je recommande vivement et je reviens au NH HÔTEL GENEVE à chaque fois que je viens à Genève.

I liked this hotel. Good location, 7 minutes or so from the central train station (which we walked to every day) and 2 blocks from Lake Geneva. It is is the ”new” part of town, not Old Town, but it was simple to get to the old part of town--we walked over there twice, including return in the evening after dinner. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a very modern feel, and the room was a good sized compared to what we’ve seen in other European cities (but it was also a bit more expensive). Breakfast was good. Three choices: Continental, Buffet without eggs and hot food, and Full Buffet. Not cheap but consistent with the prices we’ve seen in other hotels. No U.S. plugs; didn’t expect them. We didn’t have an ironing board in our room, but upon request, one was quickly brought to us, and we kept it throughout our stay. The bed was comfortable, 4 pillows, but as in many northern European hotels, only a comforter, no top sheet. It's possible we could have gotten one upon request--I didn't try. Our room did have a table and two chairs, as well as a nice TV, which we didn’t use, so can’t really report on that. We were on the 5th floor, room 58. The only issue with this room is that it is in kind of a dormer, I think; on my (6’3”) husband’s side of the bed, the ceiling sloped down low so that if he wasn’t paying attention, he would hit his head when he stood up. Also, as a dormer, the window is small, but that really didn’t matter to us. The A/C worked. The room had an interesting design. The toilet was in a separate room with a sink. The closet was in the entry, across from the bar; it was not large but did have several open shelves you could use. There was coffee, tea and water and a small number of snacks available. The bathroom (other than toilet), including the large shower, was open to the bedroom; however, there were “partition” type door/walls you could use when you were talking a shower for privacy and warmth. I hadn't seen anything like it. It’s a little hard to explain, but it made the room feel a little bigger, while allowing plenty of privacy while showering. I would definitely stay here again.

Small room, transportation not so convenient, bathroom amenities too old, bath tub too small. Food not bad, customer service not bad. Overall not bad

The hotel is near the train station, bus station and the lake. The staff here are amazing. The room is adequate and has everything we need for the 2 nights stay. The pillow feels a bit lumpy thou. But we managed to sleep well still. We were allocated a room on the 6th floor and we have the lake view to our left and mountain view to the right.

We stayed at this amazing hotel for four days, during the Christmas market season. It is located very near the Jardin Anglais, which is also near the Jet D’eau and many other interesting landmarks and sights to see. Excellent walking opportunities abound. The service at the hotel was excellent, from the friendly and efficient breakfast staff to the lobby bar to the daily room tidying and turn-down. Would recommend this hotel to everyone!

It's so easy to write a review when the issues identified in the review of a previous stay last year remain uniformly the same. And since the hotel at that time wrote, ”you can be assured that your remarks will be discussed with our team so that your next visit will give you complete satisfaction”, but obviously did nothing, it seems fair to deduct another star from the rating. It's a pity, but I don't see why the blatant lie should be overlooked. So, copying word-for-word from my last review, ”almost all [problems] concerned breakfast, where the potatoes were tough and dry, where the buffet included no fish products (no lox, no hering, no whitefish) and no mushrooms, where the selection of bread was like that of a two- or at most three-star hotel.” Yes, it's exactly the same now as it was then. There are no other significant deficiencies at this property, overlooking the fact that it is a bit dated overall (though in good shape as far as I could see). Positives include: - Breakfast open from 05:45, this already sets the hotel apart - Gym fully equipped and open 24 hours; there is even apparently a pool - Room was large, with both a bathtub and a shower stall - Easily walkable from the airport (signage not perfect in a couple of spots) - Executive lounge food selection in the evening not very inspiring, just managed to be adequate Really, the hotel should address the deficiencies related to breakfast AND not dishonestly imply that you're going to but then fail to.

Visited Geneva to celebrate our 50 th wedding anniversary and stayed at the outstanding Ritz Carlton Hotel de La Paix, Geneva. The hotel and especially the staff are exceptionally outstanding in every way. The hotel was elegantly beautiful, old world charm and beauty with striking modern accents. But most of all, the staff from the doorman to the reception staff, the concierge, and the manager as well as the staff from the Living Room Kitchen and Bar were always warm, welcoming and ready to help make our stay a trip of a lifetime. We will always remember our stay and the staff at the Ritz Carlton Hotel de LaPaix. Thank you to all!

I had the most romantic and unforgettable stay of my life at the Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva. The hotel is a historic landmark on the shores of Lake Geneva, with stunning views of the city and the mountains. The location is perfect, close to the main attractions and shopping areas. I stayed in a suite, which was very spacious, elegant, and comfortable, with a separate living room and a luxurious bathroom with bathtub, the view is overlooking the lake. The room also had a lot of amenities Nespresso machine. The service was impeccable, from the check-in to the check-out. The staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive to my every need. They made me feel welcome and pampered. I especially want to thank the concierge team and the guest relations team for helping me plan and execute the perfect surprise proposal for my girlfriend. Lorena, Jochem, Giulia, Justine, thank you all for your assistance and discretion. You helped me decorate the room with candles, roses, and champagne. It was a dream come true. A special mention goes to Audrey, who saved the day when the flower shop declined my order for a bouquet of roses at the last minute. He managed to find a solution with florist and delivered the flowers, just in time for my arrival. I almost had a heart attack when I heard the news, but he handled everything with professionalism and grace. Audrey, you are a star. The Four Seasons Hotel des Bergues Geneva is more than a hotel, it is a fairy tale. I can’t thank them enough for making my stay and my proposal so special. It was an experience that I will cherish forever. Very clean, modern, helpful stuff, everything is great and most of the restaurant is nearby. Strongly recommendation for everyone

My stay in this hotel turned out to be one of the most disappointing I have been unfortunate enough to experience. On previous trips to Geneva, I had seen this hotel from the outside and been impressed by its majestic presence. The images on the web site seem to confirm this view. The entrance to the hotel, the staircases, the corridor leading to the rooms are all decorated in an elegant style, promising comfort and luxury. However, this impression is sadly shattered on entering the bedroom. Whereas the style of the hotel’s public areas is almost stately, our bedroom seems to have been inspired by Ikea’s Formica era: flat, rectangular furniture. Because the room is so small and the layout of the furniture so badly planned that the designer has found no room to fit in a chest-of-drawers, so that is almost impossible for a couple to unpack all of their items. In addition, how can the hotel justify describing rooms as suitable for two guests and then only providing a single easy chair? This disappointment is reinforced by the bathroom. Once again, no drawers are provided for storing items but, and which is much more serious, the bathroom is so compact that there is no room for a standalone shower. If you want to use the shower, you will have to clamber over the side of the bath and snuggle up to the taps in order to control the equipment. This issue with the shower in the bath highlights another major problem with this hotel: the complete lack of provision for people with any form of disability. Every one of the majestic entrances to the hotel is on a lower level than the hotel’s interior. The only way of getting into the hotel that does not require climbing a number of steps is to go into the hotel’s restaurant and find a member of staff who can accompany you up in the service lift. I did not ask what provisions are available if the restaurant is very busy or when it is closed. In short, both the external aspect and the five stars attributed to this hotel set expectations that are not satisfied in reality. On the plus side, however, the staff are charming and very helpful but that does not make up for seriously substandard rooms.
