It was not a quadruple room. Construction around my room sawing and banging starting at approximately 7 am each day and continuing all day. Food was horrible it used to be good. every description of their meals are now misleading. I ordered the lamb shanks it tasted fresh, was not marinated or seasoned properly. Ordered the pork ribs looked scrumptious, but was tough as leather. Ordered a club sandwich, it came without bacon (bacon was in the description). sent it back and when it came back it had one piece of bacon on one half of the sandwich. the supervisor told me point blank he cant do anything about it, and they still charged me the 12 USD for the sandwich. Bottom Line this place has dropped its standards from when I last stayed there in 2006 when I was on active duty and stationed at the US Embassy. Asked to speak with the owner who I met from my stay in 2006, but the gatekeeping employees did everything to prevent that, so this is my only option. Also, the checkin staff need a course on how to smile and greet customers, its like they are on auto pilot and doing you a favor.
Positives the place was clean and the most of the wait staff were great Abraham and Ryan were great.

Friendly accomadating staff .I arrived at 2 am and the manager was very efficient and gave me acroom immediately even when we cld not locate my reservation which I mixed up . I would surely recommend and the baigan choka was delicious .

GCH is my go to place of stay in Guyana - the always courteous staff; constant flow of hot water, security, easily accessible bar, never ending supply of coffee have spoilt me.
The staff - Collin, Vickey, Bernard, Ryan, David - were all very sweet and kind and did their best in ensuring my stay was a comfortable and enjoyable one.
The bar is well stocked and the bartenders are great at what they do and ever ready with a refill ❤️.
The food is consistently delicious. Whether it’s the buffet, or off the general menu. Breakfast was always a challenge because it was always a tough decision between the local choices and the American bfast.
The rooms are great. They are well lit, the AC does not disappoint in terms of coldness. I saw their renovations and can’t wait to return for another stay.
Over all - in my humble opinion, I highly recommend GCH!

Was ok after returning to stay here after about 19 years. Food was excellent. Parking was good too. Rooms are well kept and beds are comfortable.

There was a water problem that caused the dirty water to come through the pipes. It took a day to fix so we could not shower nor even wash our face with the water. Management said nothing. Staff didn’t try to explain it until hours later.

Fist the ac did work, Then the bar close at 8. the bath was leaking, I had all inclusive breakfast but they said ******* have nothing to do with them so they charge me for it.
