Stone Village Hotel Apartments

Clean room, great staff , good food, lovely out of town location. We were end of season so not too busy. Small but adequate. This rustic hotel has bags of charm and provides a friendly welcome. Paula the manager is an incredible person 5 ⭐️

Staying at Stone Village was such a delightful experience! The staff was very kind and accommodating. The continental breakfast and dinner was delicious, too! We hope that we will have the opportunity to return to Greece one day and stay at the Stone Village once more.

We had 3 power cuts & No hot water and weren’t able to shower for days - even with the staff full aware of this. They refused a refund for the nights of power cuts and no hot water. Due to the maintenance issues, we missed dinner reservations and missed the time of dinner at the hotel itself. Ants were also in the kitchen area of our room. The food was not labeled in the restaurant area, the food was okay, nothing special. The staff were unhelpful and dismissed us. The staff said that the manager would be attending the hotel so that we could speak to the manager ourselves, the manager did not attend - not surprised as this already reflected the standard of the staff here. The pool has smashed tiles at the bottom so we could not swim or use these facilities. Health and safety concerns raised due to The pool water being cloudy and an awful smell, wouldn’t recommend swimming in the pools due to concerns of a potential illness. Unfortunately I have nothing good to say about the hotel itself, very disappointing. However Crete, Bali is a lovely place and had other great looking hotels and facilities in the area that are no comparison to the Stone Village Hotel. Please do not waste your time and money.

Broken tiles in the bottom of pools, sliced my feet open. Only one step on pool later making it very difficult to get out. Dead lizards in pool every day. Big stone pillars next too pool breaking away from pool, if it falls, will actually kill someone! Terrible food, no options for fussy kids, I'd expect there to be fries available at least. Dirty rooms, cleaners came twice but only changed towels once in 7 days. Showers do not work, either cold or scorching hot. The kettle over-boiled every time and scolded whoever used it. Wires hanging out of walls, kids bedroom had no ceiling. Couldn't unpack cases as there was no room. Couldn't walk past double bed without scratching legs as the wardrobe was butt-up against bed. Late flight on the last day and the hotel refused food. Gym is non-existent, nothing like the photos, food all is awful, nothing like photos. Animals live in very poor conditions, horses/donkey have no available water in 30° heat. No ostrich as shown in photos. Cats everywhere, they walk in and out of room as they please. Positive - scenery is beautiful

Don't be fooled by all the lovely pics the place is a death trap. In the rooms there is wiring everywhere, there is no room in the bedrooms to swing a cat,nowhere to put cases to unpack. Rooms very dirty ants everywhere. Was supposed to have our room cleaned every 2 days only happened once in a weeks stay. Swimming pools not maintained tiles loose at the bottoms of the pools my daughter ripped off her toenail at the bottom of the main pool because pool filters have no covers. Fences all falling apart everything is fixed with expansion foam. Food was grose no variety at all it was all the same stuff everyday. Avoid this place like the plague. Shower never works properly. Bali greece is a beautiful place just don't stay here. Not a 4 star at all not even 1 star

Beautiful pools and the staff is very friendly. Thank you Elanie and Poula for all your kind help. We were glad to befriend the donkey who lives here, the animals are all very gentle. We hope to return again!

This is a hard review to write as I have such mixed feelings about the hotel and accommodation. I travelled with my 3 teenage Daughters, We had a fabulous holiday in Bali, a truly beautiful town and somewhere I would love to return someday. The Apartment we had (39) randomly had a huge rock in the middle of it, but this just added to the ambience. The room was clean and had all we needed. The location was perfect right by the pool. The beds and furniture were dated and really need updating. My daughter fell through a chair on the balcony where the chair had just weathered. On our 4th night I saw a rat in our room, we went to the reception and we were moved to the Apartment next door while they dealt with this, unfortunately the bed in this apartment was broken and my daughter ended up sleeping on a mattress on the floor. This is when we discovered how stained and old the beds were. The next day we were told we were to stay in the new apartment and we were helped to move our luggage over. We had to say several times about the broken bed before they would swap. The food in the restaurant was below expectations breakfast was ok, Dinner was awful and we ended up eating out every night. The hotel is a good 15 min walk from the town but there is a land train you can use For 3 euros each. The pool area is tired and the bottom of the pool has sharp drains which we hurt our feet on a few times. The bridge over the pool has nails through that go to the underside in the water and my daughter did scratch her head on. The staff were not particularly friendly except the cleaning lady.

Photos incredibly different from the reality. They make it seem that you are the problem if you show the side by side comparison. They gave us something very different to the booking and told us we should expect a very different standard. Crowded. Tiny. We showed them all the dust and they just said a cleaning lady had been in (they agreed it was dusty and dirty and said it was normal). They seem to be v quick to offer a refund. They know they are not being truthful. Dusty, dirty. Very low standards. I absolutely would not recommend.

Very good value for the money, Place itself is beautiful,pools clean and not very busy, if you are looking for chilled and quiet place it's for you. Food could be bit improved.Staff very accommodating.Bali itself is pretty quiet and peaceful.Very good base to explore fantastic island of Crete
