Stone Village Hotel Apartments

Usually, I do not make reviews wherever I go, but this is a necessity in order to warn everybody. 𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗔𝗦 𝗔 𝗥𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗡 𝗢𝗨𝗥 𝗥𝗢𝗢𝗠!!!! Before I get to the main point, I wanted to outline the fact that till the last day, when my girlfriend and I encountered the RAT, everything was pretty normal. So, first of all, when we arrived at the location, the son of the owner of the hotel greeted us and took us to our rooms. At the first glance, everything seemed ok, but after we started to empty our bags, we noticed that under our bed there was a lot of dust and a damp smell came from the closet. We overlooked these, because the cleaning lady came the next day and wiped the dust. Also, just as a side note, the cleaning lady came only 2-3 times in 7 days, and the bed sheets where changed only once:). Even though, we saw some bad reviews regarding the food, we were pleased by it, because we are not so pretentious. It was enough for us. Every morning there were scrambled eggs and some cheese, ham, jam, milk and cereal, vegetables. In the evening, the food was different every day, and there were 2-3 options to choose from. Once again, as I mentioned before, the food was very tasty and good. Now, coming back to the room, I will start by saying that the bathroom was very old, and in the first 2 days, we had to talk with some guy that worked there in order to have hot water, but then the rest of the days was fine. Also, because the bathroom was very damped and wet after we took a shower, every day we had to clean the bathroom of slugs:) and it became very disgusting at some point, as there were 2-3 at the same time in the bathroom and in the bath tub (see the photos). Now, the room was fine, but there were some small black things, which we thought were some larvae, as the roof was made out of wood (eventually, in the last night we googled it and figured it out that it was rat poop (again, in the photos) ). We took care of the "larvae", but it kept appearing more and more. In the last night, we went to bed at around 12pm, as we had the transfer bus to the airport at 5:30am, next morning. But, at around 1am, I heard some noises coming from the TV, and when I opened the lights, there it was: 𝗔 𝗛𝗨𝗚𝗘 𝗥𝗔𝗧!!! We ran straight out of the room and called the owner, because after 11pm, there was nobody at the reception:) I told him there was a rat in our room and he told me that he will sent his son, but he will arrive in 20-30 minutes, as they stay far away. After he arrived, he tried to dodge us and just give us another room. But we could not let him slide like that and said everything that we had to tell, at 1:30am:). He said that he can not do anything, just to give us another room. Of course we didn't want to stay in another room, especially since we noticed rat poop on the floor there too. We left our bags and waited for the next three hours on the terrace until the bus came to take us to the airport. The owner's son seemed to me to have a learned speech, the one he gave u

It's a tourist trap. Due to the vegetation and the stone houses, it looks like a beautiful location, but in fact things are just the other way around. I think the following things/services could be improved. Some examples would be: the heavy smell in the rooms - aired more often, replacing the extra armchairs as beds with real beds, changing the light bulb in the refrigerator in the room, cleaning the rooms daily because there are ants, spiders and house centipedes. Daily replenishment of toilet paper and shower accessories would be a nice thing to happen. At breakfast and dinner there was a heavy smell that sometimes greeted you upon entering. The cake cover is torn and dirty, the cereal jars are dirty, the cutlery and plates are sometimes dirty, the napkins are given with the portion, the coffee is more of a tea, the water dispenser can is old, and the food should be diversified. There was no zoo, just a few rabbits, 2 cats, a few turkeys, a horse and a pony, and the setting was sad and dusty. There are also owls that fly around the yard in the evening and catch mice. Unfortunately, the swimming pools are without water recirculation, and the playgrounds I saw were closed, probably to be renovated. The staff is apparently friendly until you call their attention that things are not ok. I am convinced that this location can look better and be at least 3 stars.

Views were breathtaking, we had a room with the mountain view, we could not get enough of that. Hospitality was amaaaazing, and we really enjoyed our breakfast and dinner which was so plentiful. Unfortunetly when it came to drinks like juices or coffee, it was super bad. When it comes to downsides the problem is ROOMS. They are super old, dark, water is unstable, cleanless was no found. We had to wash our hair while being on our knees because they did not have the thingy to hang the shower head. The rooms were no cleaned, in two weeks we had only 3 times our room cleaned. We slept super bad due to the old matress and uncomfy bed. Outside pools were musty and not inviting. It is not suitable for people who has a walking issues since it is quite far from the beach. If I were do this again, I would come back only for views and food.

Οι Άνθρωποι στο village stone έχουν ανεβάσει τα standards στον τομέα αυτό...πραγματικά αξίζει να επισκεφθείτε το Πέτρινο χωριό τόσο για την εξωτερική του ομορφιά,με τους κήπους ,τα δεντρα τις λιμνούλες όσο για το υπέροχο προσωπικο του. Η παντα χαμογελαστή Γεωργία με την αψογη καθαριότητα του δωμάτιου μας,τα υπέροχα εδέσματα του πρωινού μπουφέ της κυρίας Ποπης και τα υπόλοιπα παιδιά έκαναν την διαμονή μας απίστευτη. Θα τα ξαναπούμε σύντομα!!!!

Vorab: Es ist sehr schwer bei den gelesenen Bewertungen die Sachlichkeit und Emotionen zu Filtern. Es muss einem jeden klar sein, dass in einem anderen Land sind gewisse Standards eben etwas anders sind oder typisch Tugenden nicht in dem Maße vorhanden sind. Das ist jedoch auch völlig in Ordnung. An diesem Ort wird für den Gast alles erdenkliche möglich gemacht. Natürlich gab es hier und da kleine Mängel (Bsp. ein beschädigter Stuhl beim Essen, welcher bis zum nächsten Tag ausgetauscht wurde) wenn man diese denn als solche überhaupt bewerten will. Es gibt natürlich auch Gäste welchen es egal ist wie diese sich benehmen und die Einrichtung nicht sachgemäß behandeln. Diese Schäden sind eben schwerer kurzfristig zu beheben. Das dann ein Pool wegen einer abgeplatzten Fliese gesperrt werden soll, würde ein Gast wohl eher nicht tolerieren. Daher ist das auch als Mangel eher zu vernachlässigen. Auch finden es Gäste störend wenn das Frühstück von 08:00 - 10:00 Uhr, kurz nach 10:00 Uhr eingestellt wird man wird ja nicht raus geschmissen, sondern lediglich das Buffet abgeräumt. Auch dass das Reinigungspersonal ab 10:00 Uhr versucht die Zimmer zu reinigen ist ja nicht unnatürlich, ist in einem Hotel nicht anders. Im Familienbetrieb welcher dies nun mal ist, kann dies kein Grund sein für eine schlechte Rezension. Wir haben ganz bewusst eine Anlage außerhalb der Touristenhochburgen gesucht und hier gefunden. Die Anlage ist sehr toll angelegt und bietet für die ganze Familie einen tollen Flair. Die Mitarbeiter sind immer freundlich und haben sich wunderbar um wirklich alle belange gekümmert. (Bsp. Beim Check In für den Rückflug gab es bei mir technische Probleme sodass der Mitarbeiter am nächsten Tag sein privates IPad mitbrachte um mir zu helfen) (Als wir spontan einen Mietwagen organisieren wollten, telefonierte das Personal sämtliche Stationen ab, bis wir einen Mietwagen buchen konnten)(Da wir am Abreisetag kein Frühstück von 08:00 - 10:00 Uhr schaffen würden, brachte man uns auf Nachfrage am Abend vorher einfach das Frühstück für den nächsten Tag aufs Zimmer und stellte dies in den Kühlschrank) Bei Check In wurden wir unter anderem gefragt wie oft wir eine Reinigung unseres Appartements wünschen und konnten dieses auch täglich ändern lassen. Die Zimmer waren sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Anlage selbst ist in einem sauberen und guten Zustand. Die Bereiche der Tiere waren jederzeit zugänglich und für die Kinder ein absolutes Highlight. Das Essen war sehr abwechslungsreich, frisch und für alle etwas dabei. Typische Landesküche und für die kleinen "Mäkelfreunde" auch immer Nudeln oder andere Kinderspeisen. Fisch, Fleisch, Vegetarisch und Salat war immer vorhanden. Zusätzlich gab es selbst gebackenen Kuchen und Brot. Die meisten Zutaten stammen aus dem eigenen Garten welcher ca. 10 ha groß ist (habe ich vom Personal erfahren). Ho soggiornato luglio 2024 con la mia famiglia, posto incantevole immerso nel verde, purtroppo solo quello, cucina a buffet monotona e di pessimo gusto, dipendenti e personale che non parlano una parola di italiano, personale che ti sorveglia a vista se prendi una bottiglia d'acqua; colazione tipicamente inglese solo salata, e giusto 3 piattini di piccole brioches che se arrivi tardi non ci sono più. Wifi inesistente.
