This BW Plus is very clean and very spacious. No crowded anything! Mucho parking. Gilroy is the gateway into Silicon Valley. Great place to “park” and then tour things further north up the 101. This hotel is one min off the 101! Ignore negative comments in Trip.com. All is very clean with a very hard working staff. My check-in clerk was so very competent and helpful. You’d think she was working at the Ritz in New York City.

On Sunday September 25. In the evening, We called Microtel hotel in Morgan hills/San Jose ca. The person on the phone was very pleasant. We arrived at the building looked very nice and clean. The registration personnel was also very nice. We went to the room, very small. This is one tiny room. Wife and I could not pass each other inside. ( this was a 1 bed. Maybe the 2 beds are larger rooms ? ) But it appeared clean. The A/C Was almost leaving Icicles on the walls. Felt great ! Nice room for 1 person but I would not recommend it for 2 people. Even the bed was small. ( not sure if it was a Queen or smaller ? ) Took a shower and there was a lot of what appeared to be mold on the walls near the top. (See photo) There was a hole in the wall ( possibly an old thermostat hole ?) It was very quiet and got a decent sleep. In the morning we did notice a bug under the window on the chair. In its defense I did open the window moments earlier but there is a screen. The bad part was the breakfast and the young lady(with reddish hair. No ID tag was worn) at the counter just had such an attitude. There breakfast is you see two empty food wrappers on the counter. You point to one (burrito or biscuit) they go to the back room and come out and gave me a frozen burrito. I asked for brown sugar (for oatmeal) she just points to a oatmeal package brown sugar flavored. She looked like I was inconveniencing her. Never got my brown sugar. Later asked for a second burrito and was told no , you are only allowed one. Kinda of had an attitude-again. I did get a second one but had already lost my appetite. Time for us to leave.

Daniel at checkin is simply the best hotel staff we met in our entire trip. Extremely customer oriented and very cheerful. Told us all we need to know and more. Room is very very clean and beds so comfortable. Will only stay with Hamptons the next time I visit USA.

Awful experience. It was the last hotel available during the weekend of an event nearby. I ended up paying $170, and they were “unable to refund any portion of my because I booked through a third party” The place was dirty, and unfinished and actively under construction. The floors were dusty and the walls were patched and unpainted. There was someone else’s hair stuck to the wall of the bathroom. There was tape on the walls, like a project had been started and stopped in a hurry to get us in. The fridge was unplugged when we arrived and almost fell out of its cabinet when I tried to open the fridge door. I had to move the whole cabinet to get the fridge plugged in, and when I did, it wouldn’t turn on. I tried to call the front desk, but the phone was broken. I walked to the front and the host said that there was no one available to resolve my issues, and that someone would come and check it out in awhile. If my appliances were broken, she could transfer me to another room. I told her that I had to go to the event and she said that she would send the manager to handle it while I was away. I told her that I had food in the fridge that needed to stay cold, and she said that wouldn’t be a problem. I came back from the event and nothing had changed, and my food was now spoiled. I went back to the office, and talked to the new staff that was on shift. The prior employee had not passed on my needs and the front desk person called the manager who brought me a new fridge(too late to save my food) but couldn’t repair the phone. The night staff were great, and did their beat with what they had. +1 star. When I tried to watch TV it was unplugged from the wall and from the cable box. Had to assemble the system myself. Hot tub was out of order, and the pool was much smaller than the pictures lead me to believe. In the morning I asked if that could do anything to compensate me and that said they could not at the moment because I had paid through a third party website. They said that the general manager would call to see what they could do. It’s five days later and I’m still waiting. If I had paid $60 for the room, I would shake it off as the cost of saving a buck. But I paid $170 for a room that was under construction and am pretty bummed about it. Save yourself the trouble and stay somewhere else.

The outside of the hotel made my son feel a bit unsafe for some reason, but once we got inside of our room, we were pleasantly surprised at how clean and comfortable it really was. We have stayed at other hotels in this price point when we've traveled down south and this hotel actually ranks higher than those other hotels. The water pressure in the shower could've been better, but overall, we really liked staying here. It was within walking distance of the Gilroy Outlets and the Denny's across the street.

There were dark hairs in the bathtub, gross. I cleaned it before we used it. Towels and wash clothes were tattered/thin/worn. Room showed wear and tear. The entire room smelled very strongly of onions/food cooking. We were wondering if someone was living below the room and cooking something. The smell did not dissipate at all and the odor was very strong, all night long. We were woke up at 2-3 am by people partying in the parking lot just outside of our room. 2 men and 2 women drinking, talking loudly, and locking/unlocking their car repeatedly *beep* *beep beep* *beep* *beep beep*. Real annoying. I don't know if they were staying at the hotel or just came over there to party in the parking lot after the bars closed, but they caused us to have a bad nights sleep. Overall not worth the $$ paid. Although this was the least expensive place we could find in Gilroy at $146. More like an $80-$100 room/hotel.
