Hotel berhampiran Parque del Mediodia, Gerona

Cannot praise enough the super helpful reception staff. Our luggage was lost for 3 days (thanks Lufthansa. Please get some training from the hotel team on customer service!). The Carlemany reception gave us essential toiletries, as we arrived with nothing. They spoke to the courier company on the luggage delivery, and when they finally turned up, they called us to say the bags had arrived. The hotel itself is in a very central location, with good sized rooms. Thanks again the reception team!

New hotel; it used to be a youth hostel and has been updated to a fairly decent hotel. Located next to the river, and ca. 10 min. on foot away from the old town. Many coffee places and bakeries plus a supermarket nearby. Rooms small, but all ok. No fridge. Walls rather thin, so you can hear others speaking. Traffic noise fairly high. They have a 'game room' (with no games) where they serve coffee, chocolate, and tea in the morning, along with very small muffins or crackers. They have an elevator. Staff is very friendly and efficient. The bathrooms are very small, but everything in the room was working, and the bed was fine. You still feel the youth hostel atmosphere, yet it is quite decent. One problem: tour buses are not allowed to park there. We had to walk all the way from and to the train/bus station with our luggage and then to catch our tour bus. Taxis cost ca. 7-8 Euros (the first time, we were cheated; charge of 16 Euros). Outside is a big square for the farmers' market. Not bad altogether; we were quite happy there, for 5 days! If we had a good breakfas included, we would have been happier.

Do read your email from the hotel explaining about arriving purists receptionists limited times! Otherwise you’ll Not be able to access the hotel when you get there. Once in, it’s lovely. Small but perfectly formed. Friendly staff, really good domestic services- they work hard and it’s spotlessly clean. Very comfy beds and pillows, lovely fluffy towels. Handy features like hot drinks, water, access to a microwave, and free lockers to store your luggage are great. Some traffic noise at times. Easy 10 minute walk from the old Town, and a bit less from The station.

Good experience overall. Room size is perfect for a solo traveler, bed was very comfy, staff was friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect! A bit overpriced in my opinion, but I also booked last minute. Breakfast was also a bit overpriced for what it is, but it was at a local cafe which was a neat experience! Overall a pretty average hotel but a positive experience.

I spent one week at Palau de Bellavista, having dinner at the restaurant and the bar: good food, lovely staff and a beautiful terrace (what a view!) I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to everyone visiting Girona. Close to the city center and moderately priced.

We stayed at the Ciutat Girona on 14 April 2023. We were charged 174.64 Euros for a one night stay. This did not INCLUDE BREAKFAST in a room without a balcony. We had a drink in the hotel bar We wanted to go to our room to freshen up for the evening. The bar was left unattended for 10 minutes so we could not pay. After waiting we went to our room (405} to freshen up for the evening.. We had a phone call to the room after around 15 minutes accusing us off trying to get away with not paying. THE BAR HAD BEEN LEFT UNATTENDED..i do not take kindly to such accusations. The hotel bar was closed when we returned a little after 10 p.m. and we had to make do with what the receptionist could provide in between her other duties. We were on holiday and the whole experience at the bar left a lot to be desired. The air conditioning was defective so we had to have to the window of the room open because the room was so hot. Of course, deliveries to local businesses made sleep impossible as the night progressed. The television remote control did not work so there was basically no TV. The flooring at the entrance to the bath room was breaking up and not to an acceptable standard. And the final insult was that we were charged for water from the mini bar! We have stayed at the Ciutat before but this will be the last time. And I reiterate that we paid 174.64 Euros for this experience.

Llevo más o menos una semana tratando de resolver un cargo indebido que me hizo este Hotel, el cual fue debitado dos veces en mi tarjeta de débito, donde ya envié un correo electrónico de prueba al Hotel y a ***********, y el soporte me ha estado preguntando cosas sin fundamento, cual sería mi número de tarjeta, en mi extracto bancario. En primer lugar, los bancos en Inglaterra solo prueban el número de cuenta y el número de código de clasificación en el extracto bancario. No hay forma de que pueda exigirle al banco algo que no hace, que es su jerarquía de prestación de servicios, que sería demostrar el número de cuenta y el código bancario al cliente del banco y reportar como estado de cuenta lo que se cobró del cuenta. El servicio que recibí del Sr. ¡Gerald estaba a regañadientes a su servicio, lo que me obligó a colgar y renunciar a mi queja! Me gustaria alguien superior que se tome mi caso en serio, me llame o me mande un mail, y mire seriamente las cosas que le han estado pidiendo a los clientes, como el numero de tarjeta en el estado de cuenta donde el banco ha estado trabajando de esa manera durante más de años. El estado de cuenta ya muestra el número de cuenta, el código de clasificación y el cargo indebido. En mi humilde opinión, faltaba alguien con experiencia para analizar mi caso. Nuevamente, mi tarjeta fue cargada dos veces, la cantidad de 43,73 libras se convirtió en 50 euros en moneda local. seguir los detalles de mi estancia. Porque ya probé por todos los medios que el cobro fue indebido, y aun así me devolvieron el dinero a mi banco. aparte de eso, el lugar es hermoso, pero este hotel en girona arruinó mis vacaciones e incluso me quitaron el dinero 2 veces por una sola estadía. El servicio de atención al cliente es uno de los peores que he experimentado. Y no contestan email ni teléfono.

Everyone was super nice at the hotel. The breakfast was very good, but they should change a bit since it gets boring to eat the same thing every day. Don't eat at the terrace it's super expensive and the food is not good at all. The hotel is located in a very nice area, but the hotel rooms are a bit expensive for what it is.

I love this hotel.Stayed in it many times now when I visit Girona and would highly recommend it. It is in the centre of Girona so great for walking around the city and the staff or always so nice and helpful. The breakfast selections are also very nice.Will be back in later this year.
