Brunston Castle

I would have left 5 Stars if we did not have some issues Apart from I booked a 3 bedroom accommodation with 1 ensuite. We were upgraded without knowledge to a 4 bedroom with no ensuite. My original booking I was informed was a sofa bed in the 3rd bedroom. The ensuite was essential to our booking for medical conditions. The accommodation had two twin rooms with small bathroom downstairs. Upstairs was two large bedrooms, bathroom, cloakroom, lounge & kitchen with a full size fridge freezer and a balcony with wooden table and chairs. The kitchen is small but was perfect for us The leisure facilities had continues maintenance and painting for our 2 week stay and one day it was closed completely. As we received lots of texts during our stay, a notice of closure would have been appreciated. The two person minimum in Pool area was uncomfortable because you are using both parties as lifeguards and neither are qualified Small Gym but as I was the only one using it - it was great Large Pool - very clean There is a Washing Machine/Tumble dryer in Leisure Reception which was good to use Apart from some issues the stay was fantastic and the accommodation was exceptional clean and if I book again and get the ensuite I paid for and see little maintenance work it would be a 5 star place. Finally a must walk is to see locally the Dalquharran Casle in Ruins, it is outstanding and only 250 years old. It is the largest living dwelling in Ruins I have ever seen

We stayed at Brunston castle for my fiancés strongman competition. It was perfect. Peaceful and relaxing with the added bonus of the swimming pool, sauna and beautiful views

We all enjoyed our trip to Brunston Castle. We stayed in a 3-bedroom lodge. There is a small pool and sauna also mini golf available. Also a guest lounge where you can get hot drinks and snacks or pizza.

The accommodation has been refurbished to a low standard. If you are using this site as a base for walking and seeing the area then fine. To stay at the resort as a main holiday destination then you will be disappointed.

Enjoyed the short stay even though the weather was rainy. Would visit again. Pool was nice and basic gym had everything you needed. Sauna was a nice treat.

Lovely stay, the bungalow is bigger than expected, location is stunning only issue is the road at the resort full woth lump and bumps so it's really hard to drive around to get to your accommodation. Apart from that can't fault it we loved it and would highly recommend it

We stayed at Brunston Castle for 1 week in a lodge with a hot tub. The rooms were a good size, everything was clean and there plenty of towels provided including robes and slippers. The hot tub was warm and very clean. The play park was excellent and staff were very friendly and helpful in answering any questions we had. The lodge was close to lots of nearby places to visit which was perfect for us with a young family. We would definitely recommend!

Central location with many tourist attractions within a reasonably short drive. Clean, quiet and spacious detached accommodation. Genuinely helpful and friendly employees.

Great place to stay and visit local sites and golf courses. Ayr is very good, Robbie Burns birth place worth a visit. Girvan is a bit tatty
