The location is a bit remote on a sand road, which is not ideal in winter.
Other than that, the room was nice and clean with a great bed.
Breakfast was a bit odd as the electricity failed multiple times for unknown reasons disrupting the coffee machine.
In all, it was a good stay given the winter season.

Beautiful abbey transformed into a family-run small hotel, but with the chapel still consecrated. The guesthouse is in an isolated spot in the middle of the woods, about 3 km from the center of Goirle. There is no public transportation to get there, so you need your own means of transport (car or bike). Free parking is available on the premises. The staff is helpful. Excellent breakfast served in the ancient refectory or, weather permitting, in the lovely garden. Lunch and dinner can be enjoyed in the beautiful restaurant at relatively reasonable prices. The staff is quite disorganized. Upon arrival, I was assigned a room that was still occupied by another guest. Only one shared toilet per floor is really too little.

I went there in January 2024 with my family and in my room did not work the radiator. I immediately notified at 5 pm the receptionist girl who told me that the boss would fix the heater, but when I returned to the evening and tired it still did not work. The owner was not at all friendly and hospitable, but rather rude. I strongly advise against sleeping in this monastery if you want to enjoy a nice stay in Tilburg.

The reception area is at the bar of the hotel, nicely situated in a very quiet are near a small church. A perfect spot for a (wedding) party. The hotel seems to cater mainly for parties and for vacationers. The large outside terrace caters for hotel guests and cyclists passing by, There is an extensive garden, but there is little place to sit. Do not forget to visit the maria grotto! The room we had (wedding room) was of good size and had two easy chairs. Not all spotless however. Coffee and tea facilities available There is a double bed. One of the sides has an electrical adjustable box spring There is no closed cupboard, no safety deposit box. The bathroom has a sperate shower and a bath (jacuzzi style). The breakfast was okay. No fresh juices, one day there was no fresh fruit Coffee machine needs maintenance. You can sit outside in a lovely area. During our stay there were however many wasps that spoilt our breakfast. If you want to visit the neighboring garden (natuurtuin) please check the opening hours. Unfortunately it is not open every day

1 september, een mooie warme zondag om te fietsen en te lunchen bij Nieuwkerksklooster. Tegen 13.00u aangekomen, een fijn plekje in de schaduw uitgezocht. Dan komt de domper: als u wil lunchen, zult u een uur moeten wachten. Hoe zorg je dat regelmatige klanten wegblijven?!

Afgehuurd voor een bruiloftsfeest. Voorziening en omgeving goed, maar we voelden ons getild wat betreft de prijs berekend achteraf. Dat gaf nogal een kater, omdat het om een fiks bedrag ging. Pas dus op, goede afspraken maken hieromtrent.

Vandaag heerlijk gegeten tijdens de paasbrunch! Personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk en hielp overal mee. Het eten was top! De lunch is echt een aanrader. Kortom, mooie locatie en leuke sfeer. Kom zeker nog terug! De locatie is heel mooi midden in de bossen!

We hebben hier gisteren gedineerd. Het was allemaal even lekker. Flat Iron steak perfect gebakken. Mijn vis, zwarte heilbot, perfect gegaard Vriendelijke en alerte bediening. We zaten achterin de zaak, voorbij de bar, het was daar een beetje te donker. Maar we komen graag terug
