Motel 6 Goodland, KS

Hotel is sketchy.. room smelled of cat piss and pet hair was all over the floor. Flies everywhere. Bathroom had mold atoms the shower. Turned around and went next door to the super 8. Asked for refund and still waiting for that. Would not recommend staying here.

Pros - The room was pretty clean and the water got hot eventually in the shower. Cons - The bed was broken and the neighbors were slamming the doors and fighting at 3am. Didn’t get much sleep.

Lumpy beds, very basic rooms. No tissues, no microwave, no refrigerator. Noisy, thin walls. Property looks like it hasn't been updated in years. Coffee not available until 7:30AM, after we left. Other Model 6th much earlier. Reserved deluxe double bed. Not available and got basic double bed. Worst Motel 6 we have stayed at. Not recommended.

Terrible service. Run down and filthy dirty. Kitchenette consisted of small fridge and microwave

The check in took over 30 minutes. The gentleman at the desk had language barrier and had to call a family member to help him. He kept forgetting what room numbers he was giving me. He was basically asking me what number, Anyways, it’s great for passing through but wouldn’t stay more than 1 night here.

Need to do little better with property maintenance and cleanup.

Since the roads were closed, we had to stay somewhere for the night. Motel 6 was one of the few options still available. The staff was very helpful and even though there were many people needing rooms, they honored our reservation that was made online. Thank you, Motel 6, for being there for us. And, the room was updated and clean.

This was the last hotel in town to still have rooms when I-70 shut down due to a blizzard. It was 4:00 pm when we walked into lobby. There were 4 people in front of me. It took an hour to get a room. The clerk couldn’t figure out what rooms were clean, even though the housekeeper was telling him, writing them down and repeating herself. The clerk was clueless. After 10 minutes I was worried that online booking may be a good choice, even though they assured us they had rooms. I finally got a room after waiting in line for an hour. They had no idea on how many rooms they had available. When I walked out of lobby, there were 30 people in line. The room was better than sleeping in car. Not much better, but for $55 what do you expect. It had clean sheets and a tv that worked. I pray I never have to experience this place again.

We had a reservation but they overbooked because of a snow storm so they didn’t have a room for us. We waited an hour and a half in the lobby to check in for them to tell us that there were no rooms. No apology. No refund. When they ran us out of the lobby and locked the door behind us, they were still accepting reservations online for $75/night despite having no actual rooms available. It doesn’t seem like they know how to operate a hotel.
