I have this theory when traveling. You should stay in a hotel or B&B that totally represents where you are at that moment. I have spent my fair share of time traveling for business and while Hiltons and Marriotts are fine for that, there is nothing special that connects you to where you are. Domaine completely connects you to Provence. If you had to draw up the perfect hotel to spend time near Gordes, this would be the hotel. The attention to detail is extraordinary. David and Regis both are dedicated to making your time there memorable. Neither of them really had much experience running a small boutique hotel and I find it remarkable that they could put this together in the way that they have. Every minute that you are there is a reminder that you are in Provence. What a terrific small hotel.

Regis and David have created a very special retreat at Domaine les Martins. From the moment we checked in, we felt like every need was taken care of. They cooked us a delicious dinner our first night which we enjoyed in the privacy of our apartment, and they also made all of our dinner reservations and gave us excellent recommendations for every single aspect of our visit to Provence. Their taste is exquisite, the rooms are comfy and well equipped, the grounds are spectacular. They recommended a day of e-bike riding which was one of the highlights of our visit. Definitely a perfect place to stay close to many beautiful villages. Ten out of ten!

My husband and had a relaxing three night stay at Domaine Les Martins while we explored the villages of the Luberon region. Although the grounds and common areas were lovely, our room wasn't what I was expecting. We entered into a floor level area that was so poorly lit, we weren't able to even read in the room. Upstairs was a small bedroom with a very comfortable bed and quality bed linens. Although the bathroom was well appointed with toiletry items and plush towels, there wasn't a door between the bed and bathroom. If you are looking for bathroom privacy, this isn't the room for you. The breakfast buffet looked and tasted delicious and was served leisurely from 9 - 11 AM. We weren't given the option of any other meals on the property. Other than being disappointed with our room, it is a nice place to stay in Provence.

We selected Domaine les Martins based on all the positive reviews, and could not have been happier with our choice. First, the location (though seemingly remote) is perfect for exploring the many beautiful Provençal villages within a 15-20 minute drive. This is a supremely quiet spot, nestled in a hamlet, and designed with every comfort in mind for guests. Regis and David are the consummate hosts, and are happy to help with advice and arrangements. For active types, we recommend renting e-bikes to explore the area. Kayaking on the nearby Sorgue River is also fun, especially for families. (You will get wet!) Many good nearby restaurants, but our best meal was one specially prepared by Regis and David. Breakfasts were a work of art.

An absolute gem in Provence! The grounds are stunning and the pool inviting! We loved our 6 night stay in this little "slice of heaven". David & Regis’ are exquisite hosts with exceptional taste, ensuring their guests relax and feel at home.

Hôtel: DLM Rank: 4 StarMatch: Above Location: You need a car but quick trip to all villages. Supermarket & restaurants close. 1Liner: Would recommend to anyone who likes style, ambience & Provence. Great Bits: room size, garden, ambience, facilities, regional vibe. Good Bits: decor, DLM theme, hosts/ Bad Bits: Good but not perfect service. No room safe.

Exceptional stay at a beautiful location! The rooms and common spaces are beautiful with attention to every little detail. Wonderful breakfast that not only tasted delicious, but is beautifully presented! David made great recommendations for local restaurants that were equally impressive. Excellent location that is close to the beautiful hilltop town of Gordes. The property grounds are so beautiful and pictures really do not do it justice!! You will not be disappointed if you stay here !

I had an absolutely delightful five-day experience at DLM. The property is truly exceptional, meticulously maintained, with attentive hosts and rooms that are simply stunning, boasting numerous unique details that cater to every need. The breakfast was not only fresh but also incredibly delicious. I adored the touch of lighting candles each night, creating a truly cozy atmosphere. DLM has set a standard that many 5-star hotels could certainly learn from.

Magnificent! Don’t look any further when in Provence. Everything from location to quality and beauty of accommodations are top notch, even for the most discerning of travelers. Regis and David made our stay even more exceptional by reserving the tastiest, friendliest and wonderfully unique local restaurants for dinner every night. All recommendations for places to go and things to do were amazing. We enjoyed not only the beautiful land and the wonderful people but also had the most fabulous culinary experiences each and every day. We can’t wait to come back and soon!
