Made a booking with hotel via booking.com the previous night. Drove after a days work and was very happy with my very clean room. Had a double bed with a sofa included in the room. Check in was seamless and was welcomed by pleasant owner. Everything in the room, tea/coffee/milk/biscuits, comfortable bed, excellent shower and nice soft lighting. As a single female traveller I felt very safe. On my return trip from Sydney I telephoned the hotel directly and made another reservation and asked for the same room. Owner was able to accommodate this request. In future this will definitely be my go to motel for overnight stops in Goulburn due to the standard of accommodation, cleanliness, safety and the easy to walk into town and get food/drink.

The minute I walked into the Railway hotel Goulburn I felt comfortable,warm & friendly staff (Montana) was very accommodating of my needs. Even the local's were wonderful, sitting having a good yarn a few drinks then a meal & booked in for the night as my half way stop from Melbourne to Port Macquarie. Clean, comfortable and very warm accommodation I'll be back for sure. Thank you all for a wonderful stay.

The Hotel itself is OK but the night check in is terrible; and even though they say they will won't let me down again; they did. So here I am standing in the freezing cold with a bitter wind at 12.45am on the 24 hour night phone for not 1 minute (as you would expect) but more than 10 minutes waiting for someone to answer. The lady then says she has to log in and check if they have my phone number and credit card (I had already sorted all that out earlier that day with reception). After another 5 minutes (I am like a frozen icypole stick now) she come back and gives me the code so my key will drop down. I got my key, went to my room and door won't open (red light flashing; meant to be green); so went through the whole phone process again; they gave me another key for another room and red light AGAIN! Eventually they had someone open up my original room...I am well travelled and this process is SO BAD. And this is the second time it has happened to me...I wonder why I keep coming back??

Excellent service. Onsite restaurant was good, location just off the highway made it a breeze too. If any criticism, there was only one bottle of water in the fridge. No big deal but two would be better. Will definitely stay there again though.
