As our honeymoon began we could barely contain our excitement as we had waited a whole year for this trip since our wedding day. Unfortunately as we landed in Antalya, our excitement was very short lived and our holiday quickly became very stressful. After collecting our luggage, we headed to the TUI transfer bus where we were greeted by a very rude and angry transfer driver that was very difficult to communicate with. We were put onto a tiny minibus along with 9 other guests which was very crammed. After refusing assistance from ourselves, the driver threw our suitcase in the back of the bus alongside the other guests. There was barely enough room for everyone’s luggage so the cases were crammed in behind the doors. Once everyone was on the minibus and the luggage was loaded, we made our journey to the hotel, our hotel was the first drop off and we arrived roughly 1am. Once we arrived at the hotel, we gave the driver enough money to cover the drinks we had on the journey plus a good tip. However, the driver became very aggressive in his manor and started shouting at us and another couple wanting more money. This caused a lot of unnecessary stress and due to feeling very worried and vulnerable, myself and my wife turned around to get some more money out of our bag. During this time the driver had stormed off back to the vehicle and drove off with one of our small suitcases We spoke to the reception staff at the hotel straight away and asked them to ring the other hotels that we expecting guests from our mini bus and ask them to take the suitcase until the morning. The reception staff were very unhelpful and refused to help and said to sort it out in the morning. After about 30 minutes of going back and forth we just had to wait until the morning. The morning came and we explained the situation to the morning receptionists who unfortunately did not help at all and just told us to send a message on the TUI app. Once the TUI rep was involved at the hotel, a lost item form was logged online and we were send automated updates. It took 3 days for TUI to explain they had spoke to the driver of the bus who said the case was not on the minibus. Unfortunately this was very hard to believe as we saw the suitcase loaded onto the vehicle at the airport so the only explanation could be that the suitcase was stolen. TUI continued the search for 7 days and then sent an automated email to say the suitcase could not be located and to claim through travel insurance. This was so upsetting to us as the suitcase contained a lot of valuable and sentimental items. The first 3 days of our honeymoon was spent indoors speaking back and forth with a TUI rep who herself was helpful but unfortunately she had her hands tied with TUI processes and could only really log a complaint via the system. The TUI Magic Life hotel itself was absolutely dreadful. It is advertised as a 5 star luxury hotel with Rixos branding and i would not even rate this hotel a 2 star. I cannot b
