Lovely hotel. Very pleased to arrive and was as described. The rooms were comfortable and clean. The pools were lovely but cold but as it’s winter then expected, sea was lovely and warm Food was fine, enough choice for a week but is was bizarrely spaced out with salad or hot food for example in different locations. Eggs often had a queue and a wait but at least they were freshly cooked. The beach was great, sunbed available all the time. Water activities a great bonus - really enjoyed them all Drinks and bar area were nice. Limited entertainment but nice drinks and service. kot nu restaurant was fine. Just enough food for us and tasty. Add a different meal to the holiday. The people are lovely and gave us the all inclusive package from the moment we arrived till we left regardless of the check in/out times. Massive bonus. The bus stop directly outside and was easy to use. Also taxis waiting to take you anywhere. Would definitely stay again. Loved our holiday and would like to say thank you to all the staff xx

You need to manage your expectations when you book a stay at Oceans Villas. You might have watched the YouTube videos showing the hotel. But it's fair to say that these videos show the icing on the cake and not the core ingredients. If you saw two South Africans touring the hotel, be warned that they've shown the best parts and avoided showing the worst parts. It's a 3 star establishment. And that means you're going to have to put up with a property that was built circa 1980s. There were signs of wear and tear everywhere. As you walk through the front door, some parts of the villas needed a bit of filler and a lick of paint. Some of the furniture had seen better days and our shower door leaked every time we took a shower. But the villa was clean. The beds were comfortable and the villa had amenities that you wouldn't expect such as a safe, hair dryer and a microwave too. A bottle of mineral water was also provided on arrival and parking outside the villas was a nice touch. As for the grounds, the gardens are kept well. It's not going to blow you away but again it's 3 star. The swimming pool didn't look as clean as we'd like and we opted not to go for a dip. The cushions on the seats were littered with stains from previous guests spilling drinks and food. The beach was decent. The view out to the bay was spectacular and you certainly won't be disappointed. You can swim but when we stayed, the sea was choppy but that's not the hotel's problem. What's great about Oceans Villa is its position. You're only 5 minutes away in a car from the best public beaches. Namely Trou aux Biches, Mon Choisy, Pereybere and La Gaulette. So you're spoilt for choice. We'd like to praise the service at the hotel. The kitchen staff and serving staff were really accommodating. Nothing was too much trouble. The entertainment was particularly good, and you'll certainly be tapping your toes and most likely dancing. Lastly the food. One word MSG. There's a good selection of food but too much MSG added to the food. Every morning, we woke up to that awful salty taste on our tongues. So as you can gather there's some good parts to Oceans Villas but you're going to have to put up with some bad parts. if you're on a budget and happy to stay in a 3 star establishment where you can experience the beaches in the North, it's a good place to stay. Would we stay there again? I'd most likely opt for a self catering apartment. We felt for the money, we'd get better quality of facilities but then again we'd have to prepare our food.

Have breakfast with your feet in the sand and the ocean in front of you! If you want a place to relax the Seapoint Hotel is the place to go. We stayed 11 night in the hotel in the ocean view room and we really enjoyed it. The balcony ist nice and spacious with a good view of the ocean. The apartment was big enough and had everything you could wish for. Since there are only a small number of rooms the place ist very quiet and you have several options to enjoy the calm atmosphere. The infinity pool ist nice with a beautiful view of the ocean. Although the restaurant ist very atmospheric we mostly had breakfast and dinner at the beach area. It was terrific to sit there and enjoy the beach right in front of you. Another omelet or another tea? They will bring you all you need to your table at the beach. All are friendly and helpful. Three times a week there is live music at dinner time. Thursday night you will be invited for a cocktail at the beach with live music - very atmospheric, a very nice occasion to get in contact with others if you like. The beach is right in front of the hotel and there are very few people passing by. The sunrise ist to be seen right from there. The sunset can bee seen only five minutes away. The beach ist not very wide, but a great place to relax. If you want to have a bigger and busier beach then the Mon Choisy Beach is only 1 km from the hotel. If you want party you will like other hotels better. If you want a quiet place to relax, you will hardly find a better one. Friendly, comfortable, clean and very enjoyable.

We had a phenomenal 4-day stay at this exquisite beach resort. Pravesh and his team are absolutely awesome. Thank you so much for the most memorable stay at your exquisite resort with impeccably clean rooms. Our housekeeping lady was so friendly and cleaned our apar**ent to perfection. Trishna and the beautiful tall lady at reception were just amazing. Thank you for helping us and for being so awesome. We highly recommend Mont Choisy Beach R, and we will definitely be back and won't stay anywhere else but here. After reading multiple reviews we thought everything would be top notch, in reality the hotel falls short – it completely depends on your expectations. Our experience was a real mixed bag, so I’ve attempted to detail all events factually, to decide whether this is the right destination for you. – Location The hotel is located on the windy side of the island. We expected there to be a strong breeze, but at times it was more like 30mph, so you would like a light sandblasting if on the beach – unsurprisingly no one uses the sun beds there. – Activities The hotel includes a good programme - walks, cycling, caves etc - all included. They’re short but enjoyable. You’ll need some local change to bring you back on the local bus. There’s a range of watersports kits - it’s all beginner style, so don’t expect harnesses etc for windsurfing. The beach team were not keen to let you out due to the wind. Also there’s a good amount of rocks around, so at low tide you really need to be careful. There’s one main large pool sectioned into three. At most times there are children playing in it, so was difficult to swim lengths. The main fitness pool closed for renovations, that’s behind the gym – this was a real let down. The pool area has towels left out overnight on beds or guests getting up at 5.30am, so all taken by 6am. If this is what you’re looking for, you’ll need to be early as the hotel staff don’t clear off towels after the stated 1 hour of none use. – Standard garden room Is a good size, including a Childs folding bed. There is a strange two level design, so in the night you just need to be careful is visiting the bathroom. Cleaning was ok, but the floors not mopped, so by the end of the stay looked like it needed a good clean and we ensured to leave our shoes outside. On a couple of occasions they forgot to replace the water and towels. Don’t expect flowers on pillows etc like some other more luxury resorts. Unfortunately my daughter’s necklace, which was in a small bag was thrown away by the cleaners. There was no apology, nor was it replaced. It was unfortunate but could have been handled better. We found most staff to be pleasant, possibly not as attentive as other resorts. - Food and drinks Beach bar If you’re looking for relatively poor drinks you’ve come to the right place. Cocktails are made without jigs or real care, so two can be very different. They’re all very sweet (so ask to leave the sugar syrup out) and quite weak – we suspect the local spirits are low volume and quality. If you’re after drinking any kind of booze all day you’ll enjoy it. If you’re looking for a couple of decent cocktails, you’ll be sadly disappointed. Plastic cups weren’t collected from the beach – personally we returned ours, but it wasn’t great to see some left there for days. Le Comptoir buffet - good selection, friendly chefs to speak to.
