The convenience of town in one direction, and a supermarket in the other really does make it an ideal spot. I have stayed here on numerous occasions and at no point have they ever failed to deliver on the Premier Inn promise. They even have an excellent sized car park that is free for your stay on the proviso of validation in the reception on check-in I/we always feel well rested and the rooms are well sized for everything that we need. Brilliant electric outlet placement so I can sit at the table and get ready, but a mirror near that table wouldn't go amiss, just for the make up. The bathrooms are lovely and spotless and I cannot fault the water pressure for the showers which are always so lovely and warm! What can I say about the bed? Well, without fail exceedingly comfy and the extra bedding options that are always clean and fluffy never go wrong. I have always been an advocate for the breakfasts in a Premier Inn and up until recently, it was a trudge across the car park but not anymore after they have converted rooms into their own little restaurant/social area so I could have a meal in the evening watching the football and then have breakfast. What with their meal deal options for the evening meal and breakfast, you really do want for nothing here. They were even extremely accommodating of my partners health on the day and sourced him a room on the ground, making mobility a lot less of a challenge. In the restaurant in the evening, we were greeted by the ever-helpful Matty. He instructed us on the information with regards to the meal deal option and couldn't have given us more help if he tried. He was friendly and chatty and extremely personable. Just the sort of person you want to welcome you in of an evening. At breakfast in the morning, we were once again greeted by Matty who was extremely peppy given his working hours but he just kept going. Matty was brilliant in the kitchen cooked up our fried eggs to perfection and continued chatting away to us whilst we collected our hot meals. So front of house was the lovely Clo. My partner grew up in the area and had lots of questions about how it had developed over the years since he moved away and Clo was full of so much knowledge and anecdotes that it really put a smile on our face for the day. She kept everything clean and always made sure that everyone in the restaurant had exactly what they needed, all whilst making sure to chat and not let anyone feel she was ina rush; she made time and that really makes a big difference in the way a guest would feel. We will always continue to use this place and nowhere else if we are staying the Gravesend and the fact that there is Doom Bar in the fridge was icing on the cake. Thank you Gravesend Central for your ongoing assistance and we look forward to our next visit!
