The hotel looks new. Designed in minimalist way, cutting down costs while serving the essentials. A hostel, effectively. Located over 15 minutes away by car from the city centre, the hotel offers free carpark to attract residents. Public transport is less reliable. Breakfast is cheap (€10.5), choice is understandably little. In short, it is quiet, clean and simple.

Plus points - the location is good and the rooms are a decent size with decent facilities Minus points - the staff friendliness was a bit hit and miss - some where great, some not so helpful. The room service was a bit patchy - one day no towels, another day tea and coffee not replenished. The parking was also not ideal - I booked this hotel because it had hotel parking. I arrived around 10pm and was told the car park was full and I'd have to find somewhere to park myself either on the road outside or search the internet for a car park close by! Not really what I wanted to hear having travelled for around 12 hours - fortunately there was one remaining space fairly close which was a relief. We were lucky for the remainder of our stay that we managed to get a space in the undeground car park. If you do get a space the car park is really good - well lit, modern and easy to park with good room for each parking space. Overall our stay was ok.

I do not recommend staying at the B&B Hotel - Graz Hbf -- details are below, but to sum it up, the condition of the hotel room was not appropriate for guests and we should not have been booked, and nothing was done to resolve the horrible smell in the room. My family and I booked two rooms for a weekend in July to stay in Graz to attend the Austrian Grand Prix, and have a hotel in close proximity to the train station. Because there were 4 people in our group, we needed to book two rooms. We were traveling with our young children so we requested rooms near to each other and were assigned rooms next door to each other. The smell and odor in one of the rooms that I was staying in with one of my children was horrible. It was coming from the shower drain, like something was rotting or clogged in there. It smelled as though someone vomited or put something decaying in the shower drain, along with cigarette smoke. It made the entire room smell disgusting. I spoke to the front desk attendant on Saturday morning and was told housekeeping would attend to it immediately. When we returned Saturday evening after being away all day, the smell was still overpowering. I was told the hotel was full and nothing could be done for us. I had the nighttime desk attendant come up to smell the room. I again spoke to the front desk attendant on Sunday morning and was told the room had been checked but nothing could be done. I asked her to please go into the room to understand the terrible smell and to move our room for Sunday night. We were moved to another room that evening since there were rooms available then. Even though it was not very warm outside, both rooms were also very warm, the air conditioning not appearing to be working. The windows did not have screens on them, so if we opened them to try to cool off the rooms (and also to air out the smell in the one room), the room would fill with moths. The condition of the one room was not appropriate for a guest to stay in, and it was an even bigger problem that no one could do anything to fix it. The multiple people at the hotel desk that we spoke with said nothing could be done because it was a weekend and the hotel was full on the Saturday evening. We were unable to sleep because the rooms were so warm and the smell in the one room made us feel ill. They could not provide a cot or roll-away so that all of us could stay in one room instead. I was later told by the hotel management: ”On Saturday morning the room was immediately checked after you spoke with the front deck, and the shower drain was opened and deeply cleaned. We just found out later that it didn't help, as it should, because a brand new part of the drain was needed.” Clearly from this message, there was a serious issue with the plumbing in the room. The condition of the room was not appropriate for guests to stay in it, and we should not have been placed there. Modernes, helles sauberes und schön eingerichtetes Doppelzimmer mit großem Balkon. Nettes zuvorkommendes Personal. Guter Begrüßungsgin und schmackhaftes Frühstücksbuffet. Nichts zu beanstanden, gerne wieder.

This hotel boasts a practical, prime location close to the old town centre of Graz (and, in our opinon, to some of the best breakfast spots in town, which is not a negligeable benefit). Their employees are not excruciatingly friendly but are nevertheless extremely competent and were even able to accommodate our request for a lower-floor suite. Their bedding is without a doubt the most comfortable that I have ever seen, and the rooms are spacious and imaginatively furnished. All in all, this is a wonderful hotel that I would warmly recommend to anyone who wishes to experience Graz in a quite luxurious light, especially when it comes to the price-performance ratio. There is just one quite peculiar issue that I think should be advertised more prominently: if you are taking a hot shower with the bathroom door open, the fire alarm will go off, and if/when it does, you will have to pay 500€ (as of November 2022) for the unnecessary visit by the fire brigade. I read this in the hotel leaflet, which is available in every room, but I don't think all guests read these booklets (I do, but I adore hotels and love sniffing around every amenity available in the room). Seeing as this was precisely what must have happened to one of the guests in the hotel when we were staying there (elevators were not working, the fire alarm light in the main lobby was blinking and there was a huge fire truck parked in front of the hotel), I think a more public warning would definitely not have gone amiss. Staying in this hotel was an extremely pleasant experience and a wonderful surprise. We didn't get the chance to try out their restaurant Der Steirer, but we did spend quite some time in their café (Kaffe Weitzer) - their warm apple strudel with vanilla sauce is nothing short of exquisite!

Ottima posizione, a pochi passi dall'opera. Splendido albergo, moderno e molto urban, con interni curati, colori caldi, staff gentile. Sono arrivato molto presto la mattina e mi hanno subito assegnato una stanza, senza sovrapprezzo. Attaccato alla reception si trova un bar con un ampia scelta di gin di tutti i paesi dove questa catena di alberghi è presente. La mia camera dava sulla piazza principale, di per sé assai trafficata, ma l'isolazione delle finestre è ottima e non si sente quasi niente. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo (ho pagato 120 euro). L'unico neo: la camera era piuttosto piccola. Ma pur sempre grande quanto basta

In Graz for a customer meeting and stayed in Grand Hotel Wiesler Graz for 3 nights (Jan 18 to Jan 21). Truly enjoyed this stay, Five Star for sure. The facility was built in 1909 (guessed from its WiFi password), yet the interior is very modern. The staff was very friendly and responsive, and the breakfast was the best we ever had in Europe. Aufgrund der Tatsache, dass manche Flüge entweder recht früh oder recht spät gehen war es doch ratsam sich ein Hotel am Flughafen zu suchen. Dabei war es einem wichtig, dass die Rezeption speziell abends lang offen hat um bei den ersten Müdigkeitserscheinungen nicht beim Eintippen von Codes an nächtlichen Türöffnern zu verzweifeln. Die Zimmer sind zwar klein, aber sehr sauber und (dem Flughafen zugewandt) an die vorbei fahrenden Züge gewöhnt man sich schnell. Die andere Zimmerflucht ist dagegen sehr ruhig. Überrascht hat uns ALEXA; die auf Anhieb funktioniert und (wer noch keine hat) gut zum austesten war. Eine weitere Überraschung war das Frühstück - ab 6h30 - was sehr, sehr reichhaltig war und damit ist dieses Hotel als recht preisgünstig. Zu Fuss erreicht man den Flughafen in 10 bis 13 Min., wobei der Weg größtenteils wettergeschützt ist. Auch vor Sonne!

Friendly and polite staff, perfect breakfast! Parking availability , either the hotel's or across the street on public parking. Reasonable distance from city center aproximataly 15min walk. Clean and huge room, comfy and large bed! Need to say more?
