Not all the rooms will have the great view that we did, where our terrace looked over the Monastery. But all guests will have a chance to sit in the gorgeous patio, under the orange and lemon trees. In springtime, with the trees in bloom, it must be an amazing sensory experience, yet even in summer it was so lovely sitting in the shade of the trees. Very good staff attention everywhere, everybody pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent, but dinner not up to top standards. The Lingote de cochinillo, for example, which in other Paradores you can eat with your eyes closed, here had lots of lumps of fat, gristle, and even three small bones. Not a good experience. We paid over €750 for our three-night stay. Longer is probably not a very good idea, as the small town has little to offer except the Monastery.
