I was quite looking forward to my stay when I booked, but I was sorely disappointed after checking out. 1. Firstly, there was some issue during check-in, and it took over ten minutes to complete the process. 2. Later, after a long day of sightseeing, I was looking forward to a hot shower, but the water was cold. When I inquired, they said there were too many guests that day and the hot water supply couldn't keep up. Speechless, I ended up taking a cold shower and went to bed. 3. In the middle of the night, I woke up itching. I'm not sure if it was mosquitoes or dirty sheets, but I found my arms covered in a rash in the morning. I asked my brother, and he also said his feet were very itchy. We were in a hurry for our next itinerary, so we didn't bother to deal with the hotel, but a bad review is definitely happening. 4. I paid a 300 deposit upon check-in. I checked out at 9 AM, and by the afternoon, I had to chase them twice to get my deposit back (I was worried they wouldn't refund it if I wrote a bad review, so I kept pressing for it). 5. There were a lot of foreigners at the hotel (mainly Black and Middle Eastern guests), and it felt like this hotel was specifically for ripping them off. For over 300 for the room, it's not even as good as budget chain hotels like Home Inn. The lobby looks grand, but it's all facade with poor details. Of all the hotels I've stayed in, this is the first time I've gotten a rash after staying somewhere. I'm so annoyed! Good thing my wife didn't come along; it would have ruined her mood too.

Beds are very comfortable but there is a weird smell everywhere in the hotel. The carpet is dirty and their AC is set at 26⁰C (which is hot). the hotel is located kinda far from restaurants, coffee shops and bar. It's cheap and You truly get what you pay for.

The room facilities are outdated and the lighting is dim. When ordering takeout, there's no staff or robot to deliver it to the room; you have to go downstairs yourself to pick it up. I asked for a bag to put my things in and waited half an hour, but it never arrived. The water was yellow when I first turned it on, and it took half an hour to clear up. They said it was due to pipe cleaning, *rolls eyes*. There was no hot water for showering at night, just lukewarm water. I called the front desk, and they suggested letting it run for ten minutes, but even after half an hour, it was still the same. It was basically like taking a cold shower. The overall experience was extremely poor.

Room doesn’t have exhaust fan and window, also AC is not good. That’s why bed smell in the room.

Carat hotel was good! Their housekeeping does a good job cleaning the room but the hotel need to update the carpet in the halls. It has a smell.

The front desk staff were cold and unwelcoming. Despite setting the AC to 16°C, the room temperature remained a sweltering 28.6°C. Both the mattress and pillows were excessively soft and unsupportive. What's even more ridiculous is that we had to pay an extra 3 RMB for additional drinking water. The shower head produced a pathetic trickle of water, as if it were completely clogged. The breakfast selection was limited and the food quality was very poor. I've never stayed in a hotel this bad; there won't be a next time.

The cleanliness of the room was truly appalling. There was dust everywhere – in the bed crevices and bathroom corners – and the room was buzzing with mosquitoes. The front desk staff were dismissive, and our issues went unaddressed for a long time. An absolutely terrible experience!

The mosquito control was utterly inadequate; I couldn't sleep a wink all night due to the mosquitoes. The night front desk staff had a subpar attitude. They wouldn't let the food delivery person come up to my room. It was only after I specifically requested that the delivery person bring up water along with my takeout that they finally allowed him access to my floor.
