Recently we had a holiday in Malta and had the pleasure of staying at B&B De Rohan in the village of Zebbug. The place was very well presented and more than exceeded our expectations. Our room with the ensuite bathroom was spacious and immaculately presented as well as everywhere else on the property. The place is furnished to perfection. The swimming pool area is very well maintained and extremely pleasant to lounge around in the evening with a glass of vino. The owner Lynn makes you feel very much at home. It is like a home away from home. She is a rare gem to find in the hospitality industry and is very knowledgeable about the sites to visit on the island. Her tips were very helpful. We wholeheartedly recommend this place and will certainly stay here again next time we visit Malta.

You'd get what you've paid for. £19 for a single ensuite room worked well for me. Flight was delayed anyway and I've arrived after 1am (stayed just fir a night). It was very basic, but you will get a good sleep in clean space, with towels and some toiletries included. Sure they also offer better rooms (balcony, etc). There's a wee bar downstairs next to reception. Location very central (ferries to Valleta just across the road). Restaurants and bars nearby, also a wee 24/7 shop just a few yards away.

Fantastic 5* hotel. From the reception staff to the concierge, the kitchen staff and housekeeping, everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The hotel is beautiful and clean and just a 5 minute walk to the main road where all the shops are. The breakfast was fulfilling and we were spoilt for choice. Loved my stay here!

The hotel is very well designed and it offers you every comfort that you need. The rooms are spacious and with great interiors, comfortable beds and all you can need for trip. The pool terrace is great to chill out with variety of drinks and cocktails, and the views are the best parts. You feel like you are watching a post card. The pool is not a big one, you barely get to swim around, and it is more to chill down and relax. The coffee and snack bar downstairs offers nice breakfast. It is a bit far away from the main attractions and events, so you better plan to catch some taxi or a public bus.

Excellent place to stay in the heart of St. Julian’s. Had a very pleasant stay after a horrific experience in a nearby hotel (Carlton Hotel). Anna the receptionist was a wonderful person, I asked to see the room prior to booking it and she did plus all her help for me during my 4 days stay. The room was outstanding with a beautiful big balcony right on the bay with wonderful views. The room was well maintained and super clean with everything you can need. Large king bed with fluffy linen and good pillows. There was hair dryer and water heater, coffee & tea. Also a mini fridge and modern furniture. Bathroom was small but very clean and modern with no issues. Elevator is small but fairly new. Breakfast was also included. Palmena the manager was also very welcoming. Vishnu the male receptionist was very nice upon my checkout and held my bags as I was leaving town later in the day. Special thanks to Anna as she made sure everything was comfortable and that I’m happy with my stay. Definitely coming back and very highly recommended.

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. We had the cheapest room with opaque window towards inner space. The room was clean with a comfortable bed. great hot shower and hairdryer. Thick curtains to shut out the early morning light. Wee were able to get hot water for tea from a machine in the dining room as we'd brought tea bags and milk. Would have been a perfect overnight stay as was very quiet in the room until the neighbours came in at 11.30pm. There was a connecting door to their room which was obviously locked. We were woken up by them talking very loudly and making a lot of noise which went on till gone 12.30am. There was no chance of sleeping in in the morning as workmen started work just outside the window with mechanical vibrating machinery at 8am. The tv also had only one channel in Chinese. Wi-fi in the room was useless too. The breakfat was acceptable as it was free but we wouldnt have wanted to pay for it. Staff were friendly though. Cheap hotel so I suppose you get what you pay for!

Wir hatten eine wirklich tolle suite mit extrem großem balkon und Whirlpool auf der Terrasse im Obergeschoss! Das Frühstück war super und der Poolbereich und der Zugang zum Meer sehr gut! Einen Parkplatz hatten wir für 10 euro in der Tiefgarage. Diese war wenige Meter vom Hotel entfernt und hatte keinen direkten Zugang. Auch zum Meer und Pool muss man ein kurzes Stück laufen.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Bora Bora Hotel during festival, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff (Gil is welcoming and friendly) went above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable. Not only did they swiftly address an issue I had, but they also graciously upgraded my room! I will surely be back.
