Great place. People were friendly and they make an effort to create community between guests. Very patient cats. Washer and no dryer so hang drying.

The sign is rather small and I got lost trying to find the location. Both Amap and Google Maps did not have the right location. There is a dog in front of the hostel who barks from time to time and is a noise issue. The dog will bark even at night, which is rather unacceptable for an accommodation. The common area smells like animal pee and feces, due to the baby kittens and dog that stay inside at night. Although the kittens are fun to play with, they're ultimately a health hazard. Additionally, my room smelled heavy of mold and mildew, which was the nail in the coffin for me. I decided to cut my stay short and left after one night. I cannot in good conscience recommend this hostel as the health conditions and cleanliness are lacking. If you dont mind the presence of animals and the possible mold / mildew in your room, then go ahead. I am sensitive to smells and dont want the risk of mold affecting my respiration.

We’re so sorry we gave you such a disappointing stay.Not being easy to find, dogs barking at night, pet odors in the common areas, and mold in the room — all of these are totally our fault for poor management. We’ve already taken immediate steps to fix everything.We’ll keep our dogs properly looked after and kept indoors at night, so they won’t disturb guests anymore.The common areas have been deeply cleaned and fully deodorized, and we’ll do regular cleaning many times every day from now on.We’ve checked every room carefully, and all moldy areas have been fully disinfected and dealt with. We totally understand you’re sensitive to smells, and we know a clean and healthy stay is the most basic requirement.Thank you so much for being honest with us and pointing out these problems — it really helps us do better. We sincerely hope you’ll give us another chance someday. We’ll prove with real improvements and make your next stay in Guilin completely different and much more comfortable.

one of the best hostels I've stayed in so far! staff was kind and helpful, organizing dinners and activities! the position is quite good too, just a minute from the bus stop! everything was clean. the animals were so cute too!

Excellent stay! The room was spotless and well-maintained, and the bedding was super comfortable. The soundproofing was fantastic, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep until morning. The front desk staff were warm, attentive, and very efficient with check-in. The location is also very convenient, with plenty of dining, entertainment, and shopping options nearby. Great value for money, I'm very satisfied and will definitely choose this place again on my next visit.

Absolutely incredible!! Lovely people, lovely staff and wonderful vibe. Offers great activities and tours which are really convenient to participate in. Wish I could’ve stayed another day :)

Really happy with this stay ! The staff spoke very good English and were super welcoming. They propose multiple bookings for typical Guilin/Guangxi attractions such as the 4-star or 3-star cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo or a day trip to the Longji Rice Terraces (350yuan). They also propose to eat dinner together at a restaurant (60yuan) which sets a very welcoming space for guests to interact. Room was clean, bathroom was shared with multiple rooms, you can rent a bath towel for 10yuan. They have cats and one dog.

Friendly hostel which will help you with tours and other things in Guilin! Lots of volunteers, daily dinner and even hostel cats and dog :)

Super nice and welcoming hostel! I spent there two nights, it was super fun. Very social hostel with the option to have a dinner together in the restaurant close by that serves local food. They organised some trips and social activities like bachata classes. Shops, restaurants, street food close by, huge park as well. I recommend it a lot, the best option in Guilin!

Hosts were fenomenal, made everyone feel welcome and even gave us private tours. The volunteers were all very friendly and made my stay there super fun. 100% recommend

"I had an amazing stay at Joe's hostel! Joe is incredibly friendly, speaks excellent English, and is always ready to help. The atmosphere was welcoming, and I felt right at home. Highly recommended!"

This hostel is in a great location, located near the centre of Guilin. The staff were super helpful, with Joe helping us with recommendations and requests. The facilities were good and what we expected for the price we paid. Would recommend.

Absolutely the best hostel I have been to so far. Nice activities (group dinner, organised trips etc.). But they cost a bit more than the rooms (but definitely worth it). The rooms are ABSOLUTELY AMAZING value for money, and the most important of all: the most amazing staff. If I could I would give 10 stars for being so friendly and kind. Because of this there is also a really good vibe and they have built a really nice community place for people from all around the world. I really hope to come back someday. 10/10 would definitely recommend!!!
