Club Shark Hotel

Went here with a group of 10 friends. We had a great time . Here are my opinions on each aspect of our holiday. Food- it was nice. Yes , some of it is repetitive but the quality was very good. Every day there was a good decent meat selection of chicken, beef etc . There was always a good rice dish too. Salad was plentiful and fresh. Snacks were served from the bar in the early afternoon and was burger & chips and waffles. Also very nice. Drinks/ Entertainment- local beer, wine and a few spirits ( Rum, Vodka ). The beer was the best of the drinks on offer. Although rum & cokes were also quite nice. Measures are , as is usual when abroad, very generous. You can get multiple drinks up until 10pm but after that it’s just two at a time when going to the bar. So if there are more than 2 of you in your group a few of you will need to go to the bar together if you want to get everyone a drink. Last orders are midnight and they really want you to leave the seated area at that time. They clean up rapidly and make it a bit awkward for you to remain there , just chilling which is a shame because sometimes it’s nice to just sit and chat. We weren’t able to sit on our balconies as we were ground floor with a wall right in front of us so we had no view at all. Which we didn’t mind at first because we presumed we could all relax in the bar area but we couldn’t which is one reason why I’ve not given 5 stars in my review. Entertainment was ok but not great. This didn’t fuss is as we were a big group but if you are a couple or you like entertainment in hotels , you’ll be disappointed. Pool - it’s a bit cold! Didn’t bother me but some in our group were put off getting in it. It’s not very big either, not in comparison to other hotels I’ve visited previously. They play water pole every day and do aqua aerobics . We joined in and it was good fun. Rooms are good. A few of our group had dodgy showers but ours was fine. When I say dodgy I mean the shower head was spurting water in all directions but it wasn’t the end of the world. Nearby bars/restaurants. - are really good. You can walk down the hill to an abundance of bars and eateries. Shops too. It’ll take you around 10 mins. Prices are more expensive than they used to be , as they are everywhere. We used a rough guide that 200 lira was £5 and meals were around 700 to 1000 lira for a main. Drinks vary and in one place you can pay 300 lira for a cocktail then in the next bar pay 450. My advice is check the menus before you go in. Beach bars are expensive and you’ll pay 500 for a cocktail which is more expensive than most places in England apart from London I’m guessing. The Beach is about 10 mins down the him and is ok but it’s not a golden sandy beach , it’s a bit pebbly but the sea is lovely and it’s great to go in. I’d definitely recommend a boat trip for the day. I reviewed one and it was amazing. Warning though. The hotel is a the top Of a really steep hill and isn’t suitable for any

My partner and I recently got home from our week in Gumbet staying at Club Shark Hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed our week! The staff are all very friendly and check in every day and all work so hard to make sure your holiday is as enjoyable and relaxing as possible, from the entertainers, the bar staff, the masseuse, the restaurant manager and waiters, the chefs, the maids and the reception team. We had no complaints or worries about anything. The rooms are basic but kept very clean with the maids visiting every morning to replace towels and bed sheets with fresh ones. They even decorated our bed with rose petals and towel swans one day which was a lovely surprise. The food is perfectly adequate for the time we spent there, only choosing to eat out on our last 2 nights. Plenty of choice each day with a fresh grilled meal each evening outside by the bar which was lovely! Drinks are reasonable, Tuborg beer was absolutely fine and house vodka and rum was great! Location is perfect with a free shuttle bus to a private beach each morning at 11am, right next to the main ***** for clubbing and bar hopping at night, and a 10 minute taxi ride to Bodrum for £5 you can’t go wrong! All in all we loved our week at Club Shark and have already spoke about returning either in September or next year. Thank you and hope to return soon! Sam and Zoe x

Staff are lovely and friendly and go that extra mile for you, hotel is lovely and clean, and for someone who is a fussy eater the food was lovely, I have never been to turkey before but would definitely stay in this hotel again, I'm going to look for another package very soon

Was my first trip on my own away and wasn't disappointed the hotel was nice the staff and entertainment crew were so friendly and helpful there wasn't a massive choice of food on offer but everything I had was really nice.its right next to all the shops and clubs and across the road is the jukebox which is like a English pub with bands and quiz nights and sports on the tvs and free use of dart boards and pool table. The entertainment was quiet good some nights but only on for about an hour but there is no childrens entertainment as it is now a vibe hotel. During the day you have darts water polo,pool,table tennis and water aerobics. Everyone was really nice at the hotel met so many nice people over the week. The beach is not far away with loads you can book like boat trip,jet ski and much more all in all a great place to stay especially for the price.

Wow 🤩 what a lovely hotel, amazing staff each and everyone of them are friendly and always smiling 😊 (considering they work long hours). You will never starve, 5 times a day you were fed, some thing for everyone. The only down fall was the night time entertainment, (at the hotel) bingo £10 and the prize was a £1 box of Turkish delight. Miss hotel you won nothing (no sash, no free cocktail) The hotel Turkish bath was amazing 🤩 £25 for 105 mins (bargain) Medical massage was £18 for 40mins (excellent) Little shop on site The hotel is at the top with all the nite life ( never heard any music) it’s so peaceful and relaxing. The hotel likes English money, went to paid to keep the room for the day (couldn’t as they wouldn’t except card only cash) £24 (I think) (can’t remember) for the safe again cash only. The cleaner were amazing always cleaning. Staff member Devrim he was always there to ask, help, advise, translate. No food or drinks in room (I did take a drink to the room) All in all a amazing clean and friendly hotel “Warning the pool is like ice bath”

Just back from club shark was a great little hotel staff were great and place was spotless only complaint is breakfast not great and snacks in afternoon was burger and chips every day but cheap enough to eat out when you want.Good for shopping aswell.Special thanks to Davide who looked after us.

Excellent Excellent from start to finish. This is my 3rd time at this hotel since May....the customer service, top class from the minute you go through the door. The food has great variety for everyone's likes and dislikes. Anyone who says different, sorry your just being fussy. Drink selection fantastic and bar staff go way and beyond to make our drinks, and run about making our holiday that little bit more special and relaxed. Entertainment a bit on the boring side bingo was played 5 times in 2 weeks. Karaoke nights great and turkish nights on a Tuesday were very good. Rooms to perfection absolutely spotless, housekeepers work their ass off. Great swimming pool. Club shark is in the middle of all the bars, nightclubs, Restaurants and the busy shops plus loads to do. I've stayed in 5 star Hotels....but was never treated as good as I do here Very hard working team within the hotel, this is why the Hotel is run tremendously...keep up the good work everyone.

Well we're do I start what a fantastic holiday could not fault the hotel one little bit staff were fantastic from beginning to end food choice was good plenty of choice for everyone pool was lovely entertainment ok rooms were cleaned everyday such a lovely hotel will be back next year there were 8adults and 2kids something for everyone can't fault it

One of the best. Stayed there with 15 travelling pals from Rory’s Travel Club. The location was great and the staff were so friendly and helpfull. Would really recommend it. There was no bar but that didn't matter cause there were lovely bars n restaurants close by.
