Ah, Hotel Da Porto, where the stars in the sky seem to have fallen a bit too hard on the establishment itself. Checking into a junior suite, one might expect the lap of luxury, but instead, I found myself starring in a low-budget mystery drama featuring a bathtub with its own collection of past guest memoirs etched in soap scum. The plot thickened with a mattress that ambitiously attempted to escape its sommier confines, proving that size does matter, but not in the way one hopes in a hotel room. The broken lock on the suite door was a thrilling twist, adding a sense of adventure and uncertainty that one rarely expects from a 4-star hotel. It's always exciting to wonder if you'll be sharing your room with unexpected guests or if your belongings will be part of a spontaneous giveaway. However, amidst the chaos, the staff shone like diamonds in the rough. Their amiability was the saving grace of this peculiar escapade. Despite a mix-up by our travel agency, they managed to find us a room, proving that not all heroes wear capes; some just wield room keys and apologies. In conclusion, Hotel Da Porto offers a memorable stay, but perhaps not for the reasons you'd expect. It's a blend of unintended comedy and sincere service that earns it a solid 2 out of 5 stars.

E ci siamo trovati bene anche al ristorante dell’hotel. Comodo per visitare, oltre a Vicenza, Venezia, Verona, Padova, le ville venete e altro.

If you are on a two day drive through Europe with 40c heat around you -what do you need for an overnight ? - A clean and ready place to sleep, without worrying about your car - Staff who does not complicate things Both you will find at this lovely hotel. It's a typical roadside hotel on the outskirts of the mid-size Italian business and tourism cities. This hotel is easy to find, spacious, rather new and very nice to stay. Room was bright, spotlessly clean, comfortable bed, large bathroom, good a/c and plenty of space to unpack. I had a great sleep and ready to face another 1000km. Contributed to that did Tiziano at reception -he was there to check me in in the evening and to check me out in the late morning too. Even though I told him I am just quickly overnighting, he gave me a really nice room (I assume then all rooms are good really). And did not complicate things -”we sort out payment and all things tomorrow morning, get some rest now” Breakfast was superb and plentiful, all you can wish for, regional specialities and all the global stuff. The best thing is that you are welcomed and taken care of a real Italian ”nonna” (grandmother style lady): ”Sit down, I'll make some bacon and eggs for you, you have to eat well when driving so long !”. It was lovely, welcoming and delicious. Before I could even enjoy everything, I was back on the autostrada, well rested and fed. My car was safe all night, parking site is part of the hotel. As usual, staff made the difference, thank you to Tiziano and the ”nonna” :) but also the rooms and all is very nice. I found the price via a booking site very appropriate and would recommend it highly.

CChanKTThe hotel is closed to railway station, walking 10 mins. But the facility in room is nothing except the basic bed for sleep and toilet and shower. It is too expensive for me to pay over HKD 1900 for this room for one night. This hotel is located in a small town. It should not cost so much expensive.

PPengguna TetamuIniziamo dal fatto che ci e stato dato un indirizzo per il garage e quindi ci siamo passati nella zona ZTL, quindi normale amministrazione. Ero agitatissima ma la ragazza che mi ha risposto al telefono , ovviamente cellulare, perche' siamo arrivati prima delle 14:00 , ci ha indirizzati verso un altro parcheggio, raccomandandosi di dire che siamo ospiti di Palazzo Otello . Quello che abbiamo fatto e ci abbiamo portato le valigie dal garage al albergo , per paura della multa. Comunque, arriviamo , ci apre una ragazza , ci fa lasciare i bagagli perche la stanza nostra ( la suite con la spa privata ) non era pronta. Quando abbiamo preso il possesso della camera , delusione totale, non e la prima volta che viaggiamo e quindi spacciando una stanza per una suite , mi sempre un po' troppo. La spa privata era una stanza adiacente alla nostra dove c'era una vasca idromassaggio ( pi' grande quella di casa nostra ) e una sauna tutte due per una persona, quindi noi essendo in coppia ci siamo rimasti male. il primo gg, il robinetto della vasca perdeva da tutte le parte , e non trovando asciugamani era tutto bagnato e abbiamo preso quelli del nostro bagno . In gg seguente e stato risolto in problema della perdita, ma c'era un odore incredibile , che sinceramente noi non abbiamo piu' utilizzato la ^ spa privata^ . Abbiamo chiesto di usufruire della spa del albergo, ma avendo la nostra privata, non potevamo e dovevamo pagare un supplemento ( cosi ci e stato detto ) . Comunque abbiamo apprezzato la posizione e la gentilezza delle 3 ragazze che abbiamo incontrato dello staff. Mi dispiace ,ma ci e stata venduta una cosa per un altra anche ad un prezzo salatissimo , non parlando del garage , da cui non abbiamo mosso la macchina per 3 gg e ci e costato come 8 gg a Malpensa. A mai piu' rivederci. Monica

We stayed here as a small group for two nights in this hotel. It was very clean, very nice, breakfast was great. Staff was friendly and helpful. Showers were the size of a small phone booth. Beds were comfortable, and it was a pleasant stay. Everything we needed for a quiet evening and a good sleep. Would stay here again. Reasonable distance from Venice.

A four-star dreaming of being a two-star. I am sure that, maybe in its heyday, Hotel de la Ville was a prime business. Clearly, those days are long gone. The rooms, the corridors, the building in general is clearly dating, but management resorts to one of the oldest tricks in the trade: keep a decent lobby, just to save face. Quite large (50, 80 even 160 people) overnight groups from places not known for their high sanitation standards travelling on low-cost tours along with guests more used to hostels than hotels, some of them carrying huge dogs, seem to be its market niche. Imagine. In all fairness, Hotel de la Ville delivers the quality corresponding exactly to the price it charges, thus meaning: cheap is cheap and a four-stars, in reality, is a two-stars. I should not complain either about a €3 breakfast even if it includes staled cornetti, runny scrambled eggs, expired milk, badly kept yoghurt, awful coffee and ¾ foam, rather cold capuccinos or a $80 room with bad housekeeping. To add insult to injury, Hotel de la Ville is located in a tough neighborhood where strange, suspicious characters from a shelter next door continuously hover around the property, especially at night.
