I normally enjoy staying at Accor hotels, but unfortunately this was not case at Gyor. It took nearly an hour to check in due to the Reception guy not having any time management skills. Our party of three turned up early evening having eventually finding the hotel in pouring rain as google showed the wrong location. We waited our turn, or we did, only to be told by the Receptionist that two Asian Gentlemen who were sitting in the bar area were before. Fair enough. However it took the Receptionist 40 mins to check them in due to them asking him lots of questions. What he should have doe, bearing in mind that time was moving on and there was a queue forming, was suggest that the two gentlemen go to their rooms and then come back when reception was quieter. This was birthday holiday. I blame Accor for the training of this said Receptionist. I will now think twice about staying in Accor Hotels again as it certainly ruined our stay in such a beautiful city.

The Wizz Air of hotels. For what seems a reasonable price for a old town hotel one rapidly falls out of love with the various add ins. Parking €8 per night. Not unreasonable. Dog €12 each!!! *** more than any hotel we have stayed in across Europe. So add in the tourist tax and that’s an extra €34.50. Or more than parking 3 cars. If the extra is for room cleaning then it should be one charge. Sadly customer service has not reached Hungary yet despite it being 34 years since the fall of communism. Bah humbug Nem Jo Oh I forgot breakfast is extra too. ripoff

Prima hotel. Airco, koelkast op de kamer. Parkeren in de garage onder het hotel. de straat lijkt smal om bij de garage te komen maar het is goed te doen. Zeker als bezoeker hun stoel op het terras iets opzij zetten (wat ze allemaal hebben gedaan). Goede kamer, prima ontbijt en heel vriendelijke en behulpzame medewerkers. Bovendien is Gyor een prima stad om een dag door te brengen. Vergeet zeker niet om op het Szecsenyi Tér een coupe ijs te bestellen.
