A made a clear request for housekeeping and even communicated this with the general manager in person for NO HOUSEKEEPING. This was met with a room cleaned by housekeeping. And after the house keeping manager tried my door without an invitation and I told her the door sign clearly refers to no disturbance, and then while I am talking downstairs to the general manager she or someone is busy reaching under my pillow and provokingly has refolded my long johns and then put them on the TOP of my pillow to say. I have been here, I am not happy. General manager refuses to give me a refund after offering a breakfast for the housekeeping manager trying my door with a no housekeeping sign on. I was told there was a 'misunderstanding'. A decision that grants housekeeping to do what they want without repercussion. The attitude is 'we don't care'. If he really cared he would have immediately said 'Correct, unsatisfactory, you clearly said you did not want housekeeping and they have gone and done it anyway. Any reasonable person would deduce this is a two fingers to you. Or something like that.” Only twenty years ago we paid at the end of the stay. I certainly would not have paid for one night if I had the choice to pay at the end. Back then there were hardly any issues. Hotels were waiting for your payment. Female front staff member also did the, you want this, oh you mean that, you mean that with cream, oh you mean a new this, with that and this as well but not that and forget the other. So sad. And an unnerving creepy amount of ong term stayers. From my experience, hotels where there are no corridor cameras and many agency staff and long term stayers there is an increase in likelihood of hacking. I have found out it is easier than it seems to get hacked. Use your phone for calls and internet if you can outside the grounds of hotels and look out for strange setting changes and a black small dot on your icon bar. It means someone is currently accessing your location and the rest. Twice I went into the corridor from my room and twice a nearby door quickly closes. Coincidence or something more. The feeling of the place is ”something not good is about to happen soon”.

Hotel war sehr leicht zu erreichen und wir wurden sehr freundlich begrüßt. Das Zimmer ist gut ausgestattet, sogar ein Bügelbrett ist vorhanden. Die minibar war mit allem gefüllt, Kaffeemaschine auch vorhanden gewesen 😊 Vom Frühstück waren wir richtig begeistert, alles was man sich wünschen kann war da und noch mehr. Ich würde immer wieder dieses Hotel wählen. Vielen Dank.

A modern building, very nice rooms, large buffet breakfast choice. Our room looked out over Wuppertal, as the hotel is on a hill. It is five minutes walk from the nearest “Schwebebahn” (monorail) station. It has five free parking spaces, but there is an underground car park very close. Very friendly reception, and convenient lifts. I’d recommend it highly.

Tolles Ibis Hotel mit hervorragendem Service und einen engagiertem Team. Familiärer Flair. Saubere funktionale Zimmer und ein hervorragendes Frühstück. Netter Service an der Hotelbar. Preis/Leistungsverhältnis unschlagbar. Sehr zu empfehlen. Gerne wieder. Welcome Drinks für alle Gäste. Leider kein Welcome Treatment. Dafür sehr freundlicher Service.

Het hotel is top. Vriendelijk personeel. Mooie kamer. Badkamer is ook goed en mooi. Over het restaurant ben ik wat minder te spreken. Hamburger met friet en een salade. Hamburger was prima. Friet veel te zout. Niet te eten. Ze komen wel vragen of alles goed is maar ze doen er niks mee. Salade zat een onduidelijke rode saus op. Friet en salade moet je apart bestellen. Waarschijnlijk durft men niet op de kaart te zetten dat dit samen €27.50 kost.

The entire hotel was very clean. Additionally, the cost performance of the breakfast was very good. Overall, it was the off-peak season for travel, so there were fewer people, but there were no noisy guests, and the clientele was classy, which was nice.

Great location, 3 minutes walk to the main train station. Was not very cleaned, found some hair on the bed when I checked in. But not that important. Internet is not so fast.
