I recently stayed at this 5-star hotel, and I was extremely disappointed. The experience didn’t live up to the high price tag at all. First, they provided a horrible crib for our 3-month-old baby and even charged extra for what? She does not eat anything and did use any amenities which felt unnecessary. We also wanted to enjoy the spa and adult amenities (pool, jacuzzi, sauna) on Monday morning before we are checking out only to find that they were all closed. To top it off, the massage at the spa was below average. Well I can keep listing all the things did not go well and we don’t expect anything like that from a 5 star hotel which charge 800 euros a night Even on the checkout we had issues. We did the reservation at ******* which was already paid and they wanted to charge us again. I showed the receipt of ******* and my credit card statement and they made us wait more than 1 hour trying to call ******* saying they did not receive the payment. Really? They could not solve this later since it was not my fault. We had to wait a lot to solve this issue with a 3 months baby waiting. The owner Cristine did not know how to handle the situation she did not offer us a solution and she definetely does not know how to talk to a client. For the price, there are definitely better options around the area. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone looking for a quality experience.

To make it straight and simple (10 = highest, 0 = lowest rating): Service (staff, waiters..); 10/10 Views and outside ambientes: 10/10 SPA and Sauna areas: 9/10 (overall a bit small but a great 25m pool) Interior and overall impression (room): 10/10 Food: 2/10 (the food was a great disappointment, sorry). - They served old food from previous night the day after at lunch - The overall choices of food was seriously inferior than other 5 star SPA's in South Tyrol. - Only one food choice other than vegan. - lunch food was extremely few choices. For a 5 star high quality SPA resort at that price level, ALL was good and on par with what was to expected except the food, which dragged our overall experience down. The food was at best on a 3 star restaurant level and a serious disappointment. Besides - the cook during lunch was very unfriendly - a high contrast to the otherwise very welcoming and friendly waiters and reception staff who was really super good. We will never return to this SPA as we know quite some other SPA's in South Tyrol which overall in our view excel in the food section by a large margin. At this price range one should expect and get delivered premium service and premium cooking and this place fell seriously short by the latter. Hard to understand. When we make comments like that we are seriously trying to stay factual and focus on complaints that are outside of any personal preferences or taste. We don't understand why and how so many people make great comments about the food - while the reality is that serving old food the next day can't be acceptable, Serving char coaled burned vegetables during diner (!) can't be either - those are things that are big NOGO's. And we heard that other people also complained about these things - but either don't write reviews or shy away from articulating their disappointment. We don't - we say what is real and sorry - this Hotel has a problem to solve - as we say: serious upside potential! The owner of the facility was asked to talk to us about our experience (as we had expressed during our stay) but obviously not taking it serious or whatever - she never showed up and we never insisted either to tell her. But we told the reception when leaving. Sad experience, as it was supposed to be our best experience in South Tyrol overall and a highlight for this Christmas.

Loved everything about this Chalet. Pure 5 stars, inside and out. Everything is SO WELL thought of! The rooms were amazing, we felt so welcome, food was pure joy, and the staff was brilliant!! Also the entire design of the chalet is lovely. And the spa area!!! Omg! Loved every minute of our 4 day stay.

We stayed in the new suite the spirit of Meran. not only the reception and customer service was amazing before the travel, but also during our stay. it was s. Valentin weekend so I organised some flowers and wine. the staff was very understanding and super organised. they were always in contact with me for any questions or doubts. the room was so amazing we didn't want to leave and we were able to have breakfast in the room with only 20 minutes of notice (during the same morning). We travelled with a small dog and all the staff was amazing, very nice and very polite with any request or question we had. the food was also amazing, with a half board. we were impressed with the quality and quantity of the food and the wine selection. the SPA area is huge and very quiet. 2 outdoor swimming pools with the indoor entrance, saunas and a lot of relaxing areas. one small thing is that for the sap is a bit limited given the size of the structure but well designed.

This stay was unbelievable. It was my first stay in Italy and I honestly have never loved a vibe in a hotel as much as this one. The decor is truly out of this world. Warm but modern. Amazing service. (They know how to do it in Europe, may the rest of the world learn Amen 🙏🏻) Anyway, the food is delicious. The views are absolutely stunning. Couldn’t ask for anything more. I will never forget this stay and will definitely be back.

As a family with a 3 year old we had a fantastic time. The location was beautiful, spa and gym facilities exceptional and the service very good especially from Simon our waiter. Food was of a high quality and the kids club made our little boy feel very welcome. The kids club staff spoke good English which we have found rare for this area. The kids pool and slides were great for toddlers and the main pools beautiful and never busy. We did the llama walk which was fun and bike were also provided although recommend paying extra for the e bike which was great. We didn’t have a car but the bus goes up and down the mountain every 30 ish mins, stopping directly outside. However a car would be better in this area. The Sun Chalet room was to a high spec and beautifully presented with a great double bed hidden away behind doors for our toddler - would comfortably sleep two children and makes the room more private for the adults but also fun for the kids. The only reason for this not being 5 stars was that in July, our room was excessively warm and there was no aircon. On asking we managed to get hold of a fan, but despite leaving the windows and doors open it took a couple of days for the room to cool down, and even then was too warm for us. Only other watch out is there are lots of natural wasps/flies. Usually you don’t notice but having been stung twice accidentally standing on them - I’d recommend always wearing shoes around pools/garden. Overall a great stay in a stunning location with excellent facilities and would recommend to families and couples.

Back in 2020 we had amazing time here at Mirabell and decided to come back, however this will be the last time. The hotel spa is huge and really nice, some of the rooms are great, however some are super dark and inefficient ( if you like day light avoid Sonnen Chalet - it’s absolutely dark!) We booked spontaneously for 3 nights and from the beginning we said we wish to stay for 4, sadly there was no room available. Luckily on our way to Mirabell I received an offer via email to extend which I confirmed via phone immediately. Great! After arriving I wanted to check all the details rooms etc, however I’ve been told that the offer I received was not really an offer but “an option” as another client wanted to take 2 days to confirm if they will take the room? Even though I confirmed that we take the room confirmation was not possible because apparently they waited for someone with higher priority to confirm. Very nice way to treat your guests. The weather is quite nice so we decided to take breakfast outside - tables are prepared but there was no service outside for us - no one asks for coffee or even bring cutlery, however if another table decided to come then eventually someone passes to ask “all good with you?” Yeah all good, thanks for checking on us after an hour! Same applies for the pool - there is no way to order something at the pool, you have to go one floor up and pick up your drinks/food for down. Same as well for the terrace full of people around noon - no service available at all. If you want something you have to go inside and kindly ask if possible someone to give you whatever. Another ridiculous thing that happened - the turn down service. We travel with the dog quite often and we never had any issues with room cleaning or turn down service. On our first evening I put the sign for turn down service and left the room with the dog for like 2 hours. When I came back the room was still not ready, so I left the dog in the room. After 3 hours we came back and guess what - the room was still not cleaned. When I asked the reception why no one could tell. After some internal investigation the reception realized that they can’t clean the room if the dog is inside. Ok, I understand that, but why no one said that? All I’ve been told is that the dog costs extra 35 euro per night but no one thought of telling me that for 35 euros extra I will just receive less service! Disappointing. Ok, no turn down service but I needed new towels which reception promised immediately. 30 mins later I called and asked them to leave the towels because I already wanted to sleep. Real 5 stars… The day after I asked to speak with the management who basically told me that’s all normal, no service outside before 1st May even though the hotel is fully fully booked, he told me all my comments are basically invalid and was quite rude. Nice! So in the last minute the hotel got cancellation and suddenly there was available room for us, however we needed to move.

This is not our first time staying at the hotel. The first time we were here was 4 years ago and then 2 times 3 years ago. So this is our fourth time in Chalet Mirabell . When we visited the first two times a few years ago, everything was just fantastic. Especially the food, it was a real Michelin expirience. When we came third time we noticed that the food has changed not for the better and has become more simple despite the fact that the price of the room increased every year. Therefore, we decided to abstain for a few years and visit other luxury hotels in this rich region, which are not few. But this year we noticed that the hotel received the Gault Millau status as the best gourmet hotel of 2021 and the main building was also renovated and another swimming pool was built Therefore, we decided to try again and chose a really good offer 3 days = 4 days, thats mean one day for free. Now I’ll tell about everything in order from our arrival and what we noticed from the first day: The first that we noticed that there are no rubber slippers in the room anymore ( I didn’t take my because it was before)You have only fabric one, that is not good to use in wet areas of spa hotel. The spa bag in the room looks used and torn in some places, it also had small stains on it and is very strange, especially during covid times. Other hotels usually give guests a new disposable bag during their stay. Now for the food: Breakfast is very good ,there was plenty of fresh fruit that was plus for us. We found the lunch also very good, with life kitchen, soup and salads buffet. Concerning the sweet table from 14:30 till 16:00 h it was not more than ok, it was not changed 4 days and wasn’t very tasty, some simple rolls with wiped cream and etc.,we only liked the local specialties. Approaching dinner, I want to note that dinner is declared as a gourmet dinner of 5-7 courses, that in fact not correct. Well, you have to choose only primi, main course and desert . The starter you need to take in buffer bar and this is like cold small snack prepared in advance . So 5-7 course menu looks like this: Butter( new each day) Buffet salads Cold starter always from buffet , that is in our opinion is not good solution. Primi( some pasta or soup) But nothing special for choice. Main course ( you have normal choice of 3 options) Desert( you also have 3 /4options ) We noticed that for this years the food didn’t become better, its quite simple ,without something special, no seafood at all. No a la cart menu in case you would like to change some courses. No thematic evenings. The bread choice finished each evening, so if you come at 20:00 , you will just find some baguette on empty shelves and nothing else, no rye bread . For the spa, the spa in the hotel is really big and very nice, this is the reason we choose Chalet Mirabell.But this visit we noticed in the adult area near the infinity pool and inside area the sewer smell during the day.
