Every member of the staff were extremely friendly and provided plenty of care and help during our stay. They were attentive with all our needs and helped with any favor we asked. The room was clean and in good working order. The amenities and facilities was as expected of a 5 star hotel.

Novotel Hotel West Coast Haikou offers excellent service, with receptionists who are very supportive, professional, and welcoming. The staff are especially friendly and patient with kids and elderly guests, making everyone feel comfortable and well cared for. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well maintained, providing a pleasant stay. All hotel facilities are kept clean and organized, reflecting high standards of hygiene. The hotel is in a great location near shopping malls, with plenty of eateries and dining options.

I want to take this opportunity to share that this hotel has excellent service that went above & beyond. On the day I was checking out of Sofitel in the morning & moving to another hotel, I realised that I was missing one of my earrings. I informed Jerry at Reception about this & he immediately informed Housekeeper to look for it & took the particulars of my next hotel so he could send my earring if found. Soon after, he texted me to say they were not successful but they will continue to search, and they did. In the afternoon, Jerry called to inform me that they did manage to find my earring in the shower stall, and will send it to my current hotel within the day. I really appreciate their efforts in taking the matter seriously & not giving up after the first unsuccessful search. This is not the first instance that Jerry gave excellent customer service. When I first checked in, I had arranged for some online purchases to be delivered to Sofitel in advance but as I didn't have a local number, the couriers were not able to contact me. Jerry helped to contact the couriers & the packages were sent to the hotel within that day. It really meant a lot to me to have such helpful & reliable assistance for a first time traveler to Haikou. Thank you, Jerry! I also want to compliment Sofitel's breakfast & the service team there. The spread is very wide, and being there for almost a week, I really appreciate that they change some of the items so you get variety. And the staff are very attentive & helpful. Not only did they remember my coffee preference, they always bring me to my favourite table where I can enjoy the wonderful view. All in all, Despite the fact that the mall next to the hotel is like a ghost town with empty shops, Sofitel Haikou is a wonderful hotel that I would recommend to travelers.

Hong Yuan Hotel is part of the great chain of hotels Ascott hotels. A five star hotel with compotent leadership and staff. A special thanks to the reception staff Alysa, Alice and Annie for making my stay even more pleasant. I do recommend the hotel for those who value quitness with trendy stay. A variety of breakfast open buffet in addition to aLa cart lunch and dinner.

V clean room. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful during my stay especially when I have to extend the stay due to typhoon. The gong lue was also very useful. Good food around projector TV and smart toilet is a plus point. Awesome and will stay again if I visit again.

I have traveled extensively across Asia, and I can confidently say that MOS Hotel Haikou holds a unique charm that is hard to find elsewhere. Moreover, during my stay, I was fortunate enough to participate in special edition events that showcased the island's vibrant culture and creativity. It was a perfect blend of relaxation and inspiration, making my visit even more memorable. As a film studio executive, I can say with certainty that MOS Hotel Haikou exceeded all my expectations and more. We stayed at this resort for 4 nights at the beginning of May while my kids (ages 9 and 11) were on school break. They loved it. They really enjoyed the pool, the springs and the breakfast and dinner buffets. The sushi restaurant is also good. The kids liked the slides and obstacle course in the pool area. There are so many springs here, with varying temperatures so you can choose to soak in cold ones or hot ones. And they are broken into regions (Asia, Europe, America, Africa). The service we received was great. Everyone was very helpful. Jordon in particular was very clear in communicating with me about what was included with our booking and how to access those items. There were a lot of other families at the resort since it was a holiday time but it was not too crowded. Would definitely recommend it to others. Close by is Mission Hills Centreville (retail shopping area), Feng Xiaogang Movie Town (featuring recreated old Chinese movie sets) and Splash City (a large water park). Spacious king room. Toilet bowl flushes not working the best - takes a lot of time to be able to flush the next round. Apart from that, stay was good with friendly staff around. Not the most impressed with cleanliness - there were two staff who came up wanting to retrieve something from the toilet. The staff who entered our room and toilet wore shoes inside the entire time. We had to request the 2nd staff to help us clean the areas he stepped on. Makes us wonder if they usually clean the room while wearing outside shoes.

We chose Sheraton Haikou due to the great reviews, especially from helpful staff, close to the beach, and activities for children. Our stay was for 1 week. Disappointments: 1) Absence and failed service of front desk staff 2) No help with luggage (really needed it) 3) Room cleaning could have been better. 4) Communication, there was almost never English staff available. Additionally, no one once checked in on us. Maybe I’m being petty but if guests stay long you’d wanna check if they need anything or just if they’re okay. At checkout, they looked more annoyed and just wanted to get rid of me. I asked about my Marriott membership & the lady was dismissive. 5) Poorly winter holiday program for kids. Different from the advertised program on trip.com. 6) Checkout was delayed because they couldn’t find my booking. Very weird. Eventually they spoke to someone who helped me and found the booking. How is this possible considering that I’ve been there for a week? Great things: 1) location: it’s right on the beach, not far from airport and other places to explore 2. Location: it was very calm and relaxing, which is why we chose Haikou as opposed to Sanya. No heavy crowds, except when going to touristy places can expect some crowd but still manageable 3. Free photoshoot was fun and good way to create memories 4. Hot pool was a good way to make up for being in a pool, we loved it 5. Western restaurant was fine, had some good options. 6. Little play center for kids 7. Large grounds for kids to run around and to enjoy outdoors. 8. Accommodating: we were assigned a room on the 5th floor but on arrival it had a strong mould odour from the moment you exit the elevator. Was so bad when I entered the room, I instantly got a headache. All rooms have no windows, only a balcony door but be aware of bugs and spiders. We immediately got moved to a room on the 4th floor, less odour and no smell in the room. 9) Entertainment: live music at night Would I go again? Yes, especially since I know what to expect. Or try another hotel in the same area. Overall, we were happy to be by the seaside and explore places in Haikou.

Hotel has 6 floors with 1 lift. Average size room. Big windows, Queen bed with 2 pillows, 2 bedside tables. 1 round table with chair. Std amenities with paper cups. Laundry has 1 washer and 1 dryer. Separate bath/toilet, bath, face towels. Floor towel mat. Small area but OK. Water flow out and wet toilet area although separated. No rain shower. Big slippers. Adequate hangers and hooks. Power sockets not well placed. Good location opposite People's Park. Buses to everywhere including railway station and airport. Plenty of food stalls, restaurants, convenience stores, shopping malls nearby. Very popular hotel. Breakfast simple but good.
