Hotel&Spa Century Marina Hakodate
4.7/5185 Ulasan
We stayed at Century Marina for our first night in Hokkaido and originally chose it for its proximity to most of the sites we wanted to see in Hakodate. It's just a few minute walk from the train station with plenty of sidewalks so pulling our suitcases was no issue. The hotel also has a large parking lot if you choose to drive. It's also just a few minute walk from the warehouse district and the older area up the hill where a lot of historical embassies and churches are. The hotel's breakfast buffet is an experience itself with an extensive spread of both Japanese and Western food options. You will reserve a time slot when checking in, but even then you should expect a 10-20 minute wait in the morning to get your table, so its best to go up before your reserved time. This hotel also has one of the best rooftop onsen I've seen, with wonderful views of the whole marina and hill. When booking I didn't realize there was a hot springs so this was a nice surprise. Our room was right next to the elevator but very quiet and clean. This is a newer hotel too so everything felt very fresh and well-maintained. We checked in using Japanese, but the hotel has check-in info packets and signs in English so this is a good option for non-Japanese speaking guests as well.
Heiseikan Shiosaitei

This hotel is located at the Yunokawa area in Hakodate. It's reachable within 20 minutes from Hakodate bus terminal. There are three buses serving this area: 95, 95A and 96. There is also a direct bus from/to Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto station with a fee of ¥900/person/way. We booked a Japanese-style room with a private onsen bath facing the ocean. The view is beyond our expectation. The room is super spacious - consisting of the entrance area, sleeping area, living room, a toilet, and bath area. They are still using the actual key instead of keycards. They served some snacks, tea, free beers, bottled water and cold tea. The room we booked also provided halfboard (dinner and breakfast). The food was amazing with many varieties, including our favourites - king crabs. All was served in a buffet style so you can eat this crab as much as you want.

Hotel located at the transportation hub where Jr train and bus station and tram line was just across the road. Good size of room and bathroom for Japanese standard. I enjoyed the sunset with good view. Public bath was clean and good. Breakfast has good varieties. Only feedback is internet is slightly slow.Overall I enjoyed my stay.
Villa Concordia Resort & Spa
4.6/520 Ulasan
The Villa Concordia Resort & Spa is a very private hotel with only 10 suites - 4 each on the 3rd and 4th floors and 2 executive suites on the 5th. My partner and I opted for a corner suite which was ample and comfortable and very adequately furnished with a seating area furnished a vacuum tube amplifier and sound system. The owner of the hotel is clearly a jazz aficionado as the lobby boasts of a fine collection of jazz CDs which you could play in your room. Breakfast was served in the hotel's restaurant on the 6th floor and while there is no selection to choose from, the hotel provides a full yōshoku or washuku breakfast course which was a marvel to dine on. Each meal was tastefully prepared and presented. Unfortunately we visited during the period immediately following the Japanese New Year season and being a low-season, the restaurant did not offer dinner services. This was the only disappoin**ent relating to our staty. The hotel is located minutes from the Jujigai Hakodate Tram stop and a short walk to the dock area and a slightly longer walk to the Hakodate train station. An interesting experience for our first visit to Hakodate.
Yunokawa Prince Hotel Nagisatei

It has been almost 3 years that we have not visited Japan. Once Japan opened tourism, we packed our bags. We decided this trip will be a trip to enjoy some onsen (hot springs bath) and to see some fall foliage in colors. We picked Hakodate for onsen. This hotel offers in room open air bath tub on the balcony with a 180 degree ocean view!! Our activities were focused on taking onsen and having great food at the hotel buffet restaurant. After a great onsen bath, we wore the clothing they provided to us to the restaurant, very layback and relaxing!! There were many families, old and very young at the hotel over the weekend. So we think families take short vacations here. Strongly recommend to add Hakodate and this hotel to be part of your tour in Japan !
