Stayed for one night and enjoyed the onse. The onse was man and woman separate. Further there is the possibility for a private onse. Make sure to ask for a private onse with a good view out.

I don’t know if this place went through a renovation or not but I was reading the reviews from a few years ago and it was not like that at all. Room was big and clean and modern. Very nice bathroom, shower, etc. the sleeping area was big. Could sleep 4 adults comfortably at least. The one bad thing was the rice pillows! The pillows are made entirely of rice it seemed and they were very uncomfortable. So bring your own! If possible. Price is a bit high. Slightly less than $400 USD, but that includes full dinner and breakfast and 3 drinks per person. Alcohol included. The dinner was..l interesting. Very Japanese style, did not know half of what I was eating and some was good and some was spit out worthy. But definitely a unique experience. The staff was amazingly friendly and accommodations and helpful. Impeccable service. For that alone it would be 5 stars. People there are so very nice. Nice onsen/ spa areas. Womens area includes 4 pools. 2 inside 2 outside. They give u full robes and what not to wear into there and there’s tea available in the spa. They are renovating the outside so the front isn’t very aesthetically pleasing. But the gardens are gorgeous. Would recommend.

To be honest, this hotel has probably the most number of English-speaking Japanese staffs out of all the hotels that I’ve stayed in so far! Impeccable service, rather smooth communication and good location within Hakone. The hotel gives off a really relaxing vibe~so if you’re finding somewhere to just chill and soak in all those “zen-ness”, this is it! Just a little tip, the hotel is rather far from the train stations so do arrange for the free shuttle service in advance!

This hotel is a historic property set in an iconic setting. We stayed in the Forest Section which features large, comfortable rooms that were a little dark, the bathroom lighting could be improved. Here is my issue. We arrived around 1:15 and we’re told that we could check in at 3:00. We had lunch in their cafe ( 50$) and asked again about an hour later if we could have early access. The very polite desk clerk replied “ Yes, for $70 dollars “. Astounded , I countered that we were departing early 2 days later, and he reduced the amount to $35. Now here is where communication becomes an issue: I continued the “are you kidding me?” and he kept bowing. I thought the issue was settled. That night and the next we ate at their lovely restaurants, French and the Cascade. Food and service was superb. With wine we spent about $900. Check out was early, and my husband didn’t really examine the bill. When we were back in our free early access room in Tokyo I noticed the $35 charge. I contacted the hotel’s customer service and they confirmed the charge. So, what about customer hospitality? I have NEVER been charged an early access fee for an hour. They have been times when we patiently waited for a room to be readied, and never demanded a rebate. It is all part of the guest/host agreement, I think this is probably a corporate decision by the Fujiya Group. Rethink your mission, guys, make guests feel wanted!

The Japanese rooms are almost to small to house two people with luggage, mattresses very thin, no Aircon available (only air clean). Room was run-down, the entire hotel is in dire need for make-over. It surely has seen better days. Therefore, it is overpriced. On the plus side: Food was good and so was the Onsen. But one would find similar Onsen standards nearby, in fact, next door. The nicely sized swimming pool closes at 5pm, can’t tell it’s quality. Massage service available, good service.

This hotel is a bit hard to reach by public transport. There is a bus that stops closeby, but there is also a train, however, after that you have to walk for 20 minutes and the road can be quite steep in some parts. In the vicinity, there are some convenience stores and restaurants. The town of Hakone is beautiful and located close to mount Fuji. We had a lovely ryokan-style suite with twin beds. Everything was very clean and comfortable, including the pillows. Breakfast is buffet-style and offers both European and Asian food. There are both a public onsen and a private one. Staff is very friendly and speaks English very well.

My daughter and I stayed one night in the Mitsu room. We loved every minute of our stay. We arrived after 5 days in Tokyo so this peaceful place was just the thing to unwind. We arrived at 3 after taking the Tozan railway up and walked to the hotel from the station. We were intending to go to the Hakone Open Air museum right after check in but were lulled into relaxing instead. Our room attendant Tamoe (?) helped us get settled and made arrangements for time in the private family bath, breakfast and dinner. After the private bath time at 8 we moved to the public bath at 9. There were some ladies there who were leaving so we got private time in the public bath, so nice. Dinner was delicious and so was breakfast. We opted for one Japanese style and one Western style. After breakfast our room attendant checked on our journey down the mountain and on to Kyoto. A guy drove us to the station in the Mercedes (even though it’s a short walk). We would stay here again if we are in the area

2019夏の終わりに利用しました。 すくも亭の部屋に泊まってみたくて、そちらを選びました。 お部屋にお風呂のあるとても素敵な部屋です。 大人二人と3歳児で、53000円。わたし達にとっては、高額です。 温泉もよかったし、食事もよかった。 朝になり、時間もなかったため、子供と二人で部屋のお風呂を利用。 前日には、気づかなかったが、シャワーヘッドがついてなくて、お湯がたれ流し。なんとも使い辛い。 裸なので、夫に相談したが、そうゆう演出じゃない？シャワーヘッドがないなんてあり得ないんだからと言われ我慢…湯船に入ると、大量の毛が、わ〜っと浮いていて…掃除してませんよね…絶対に… 帰りにフロントで話すと、前日のお客様に盗まれたとの説明。いや、掃除してないですよね、と言ってもしてますとのこと。 普通、シャワーで流しながら掃除しない？？ 気づくよね？ と思ったが楽しい旅行を台無しにしたくないので我慢… 後日電話で部屋を高い部屋にした分の差額を返金してもらいたいと伝えると。1円も戻せないとのこと。もし、ホテルに泊まってこんな目にあっても何も言わず我慢するのですか？と聞いたら、 指摘はいたします。しかしながら、返金は、求めません。それをしたら、脅迫になりますので。 と言われた。 シャワーヘッドも盗まれて不備のある部屋。 お湯を貯めると、大量の毛。 お洒落なお風呂でお湯に入るまで毛が見えなかった〜。見えたら入らず済んだのにー。 一泊53000円で、不衛生な風呂に入ってしまいました。 スタッフには言いませんでしたが、ゴミ箱の近くにごみも落ちていて、サービスで置いてあるのかファブリーズかリセッシュか、空でしたよ… 掃除のスタッフ指導してください。 全然掃除してないスタッフにお給料払うんですから、最低限のサービスも出来なかったお客にも少しは返金するべきだと思いますが… お部屋のお風呂とその後の対応以外はよかったので、とても残念です。 お風呂事件が起きるまではまた絶対来ようと思っていました。 二度と泊まりません。 皆さんにこんな思いをして欲しくありません。 わたしは行く前に良い口コミだけを見て決めてしまいました。 悪い口コミ読んだ方がいいです。 みなさん、掃除されてないって書いてありました。

Great option in Hakone. It’s right next to Gora station so perfect for the cable car etc. the communal areas are nice and our room was clean. The balcony was a bonus, although more for drying laundry than sitting on! The roof terrace was good, but in need of a bit of work /TLC - still a nice place to eat your breakfast!

這是我第一次出國，本人是開酒店的，這是我第一次寫評論，同理心比較重，所以不會給差評，確實沒有沒有什麼不好的，去之前看了箱根很多家酒店，我決定定一個便宜點的，瞭解箱根的景區情況再換酒店，這裏的酒店禮拜五禮拜六會漲價，（有地理優勢，或者景觀好的酒店）幾乎要提前20天定，）我定的日期是禮拜天，所以價格比較便宜就600多包涵了早餐，我認為公區有用的就是室內的一個温泉室，和早餐，其他的對我們見過世面的中國人沒有什麼利用的，箱根的酒店幾乎都是下午15:00點入住，第二天10點退房，很準時，附近沒有吃的，但是這個酒店位於箱根美術館2公里左右，用谷歌和百度地圖都可以找到，如果要找主食就直接搜附近最近的景點，一定有餐廳，注意這裏的餐廳上午11點開門，下午16:00點一定準時關門，不要拖着行李找吃的，路都有坡，會很累，我也是用這個方法去箱根美術館吃的東西，在回來的路上看到一個地理位置很好的酒店，名字叫（箱根強羅玄源泉茶寮）酒店，我進去問了服務員，説了一句are you speak Chinese？幫我找了一個會中文的女孩子來交流，我想定他的房間，但是15天內都沒有了，所以我前面説想要住好的酒店地理位置很重要，這個酒店還是可以對得起他的價格，確實不錯，以我做酒店的經驗，出門旅行主要就是交通，有私家車的話很方便，沒有車一定要在小田原站買（周遊卷）這個卷講通俗點就是買了這個卷你就不用坐bus陶錢，再加一句就是坐箱根的公共汽車直接給司機看票，不用付錢了，坐所有的線路都是免費的，一定要會看地圖和你坐車的方向（bus俗稱公交車 上面有到站的中文）其實這裏的景點都是圍着大涌谷轉的，如果你要做纜車買單程的就可以了，如果你要坐海盜船，我建議買單程的體驗一下就可以了，坐bus（公共汽車）在地圖上搜過坐對路線可以到箱根這個景區裏你想到達的任何地方，（坐船.纜車）就是相當於花錢看纜車上看下面的風景，和在湖中間看風景，千萬不能認為他是你必須坐的交通工具才能返回或者才能到達你的目的地。最後我建議最好住在（元箱根港:或者箱根町港這2個是坐海島船的港口，或者我第二天入住的這個酒店:根據自己的需求來，這2個地方同樣也是鄰居，走路距離差3公里，（離箱根神社也很近，在他們2個港口的中間，建議延着湖邊走路過去，）這裏很方便，有很多餐廳，同樣的早上11點開門，下午16:00關門。吃的不用擔心都是明碼標價，如果住我推薦的這2個地方，對於人生地不熟第一次來的人，到了可以看到湖，食物也很好吃，旅行會更愉快，等對這個地方地理位置更熟悉一點，再去另外的你想去入住的酒店和地方，我把推薦入住港口圖片上傳上去。你們搜地（箱根町港或者元箱根港，一定有很多酒店，不能因為不熟悉地理位置，預訂了不怎麼方便的酒店，影響自己的心情。衹要會看地圖，和會坐公交車。會付錢，入住的地方繁華，有人，一切都是愉快！入住的人數，幾個大人幾個小孩一定要寫清楚，日本人比較在意這個，希望能幫助到你們！
