Hotel berhampiran Hamburg-Altona Train Station, Hamburg

Der Check-In Service ging ohne Probleme und schnell haben wir unser Zimmer erhalten. Das Personal ist zuvorkommend und freundlich. Das Zimmer war ebenfalls sauber. Und bietet ebenfalls genug Stauraum für Klamotten. Das Badezimmer ist klein, doch fürs Duschen und Zähneputzen reicht es allemal aus. Frühstück hätten wir dazu gebucht wenn wir nicht so früh abreisen müssten. Für ein Wochenendausflug ist dieses Hotel zu weiterzuempfehlen.

Fantastic location with very friendly and attentive staff. The beds were comfortable,. particularly the sofa bed which is unusual for a hotel! Really conveniently located for all transport links and noise from the station is minimal with the windows closed. Water pressure from the shower is superb and we were grateful for the bath since our 4 year old prefers that to a shower, it filled up quickly and the water actually heated up faster than our bath at home! The breakfast was amazing, good value for money and a good selection of hot and cold food available, it was a real treat getting to have banana chips for breakfast and the coffee was outstanding - I particularly loved that they provided coffee flavouring syrups. WiFi signal is strong enough to stream Netflix. The hotel was fantastically accommodating when we asked for a room at the front so that my son could see the ICE trains at the station. (This was the purpose of our visit as they're his favourite train and the location didn't disappoint!) Just a couple of small points to note: There is no kettle and fridge in the room - I don't know how I missed this at booking as to be honest, I wouldn't have booked the room if I'd known that, given that my son likes fresh milk before bed and the restaurant part is only open for breakfast. It would have been nice to have tea in the afternoons on arrival back from being out for the day but it's not a huge deal - I do feel that these facilities would improve the room significantly. The windows also have the ability to open fully as well as part way and there are no guards etc against them to prevent children from falling. Not an issue for us as we didn't open them fully, but I do think parents need to be aware of this when booking the room. The rooms aren't cleaned daily, this isn't a huge issue but it would have been nice to have at least had the bins emptied daily, as we had to have a couple of takeaway dinners (see earlier comments about sleeping child, haha!) and the bins are very small. Again, not a massive deal for us, it didn't take away from the trip at all! The hotel accepts dogs - not a problem for us as we love them and the room didn't smell at all - the few dogs we saw were very well behaved and sweet! A few people have commented on the decor of the hotel - it's true, it does need a full facelift to be dragged into modern times, but it's totally clean and comfortable and that's what mattered to us :) We'd absolutely recommend this hotel! Just to add for anyone considering a trip to Hamburg, we bought a Hamburg Card which was great for getting discounts at some of the attractions and also covers you for travel on basically everything except the ICE train.

Super Hotel in toller Lage! Perfekt für ein Wochenende auf der Reeperbahn Das Hotel liegt direkt im Herzen St. Paulis und ist somit für sämtliche feucht fröhliche Unternehmungen bestens geeignet ;) Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und neu renoviert, wenngleich auch eine Klimaanlage für die heißeren Sommernächte durchaus angenehm wäre. Unser Zimmer war direkt mit Fensterblick auf die Reeperbahn, daher war es am Abend auch mal etwas lauter, was uns allerdings nicht störte. Das Frühstück war einfach, jedoch lecker und mit viel Liebe vom Personal angerichtet. Generell waren die Mitarbeiter des Hotels äußerst freundlich und zuvorkommend und sehr hilfsbereit. Insgesamt also ein super Aufenthalt, wir kommen gerne wieder!

Great location. Easy to get around and get back to the place at night. If you're a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend the shared rooms, people coming back late at night, the doors close quite loudly. My only complaint is that I received a keycard to the wrong room and walked right into a private suite.. Nobody was there thankfully and I just walked right out, but if I were staying in a private room I would hate to think that strangers could just walk into my room where all my belongings are lying around. Otherwise clean and quite a cool environment.

Das Hotel ist ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen, aber Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut Top !! Frühstück ist sehr gut und reichlich ! Einzig der Kaffee aus dem Vollautomat war komplett kalt. Es gab aber auch Kaffee aus der Kanne, der war ok. Das Zimmer war ok, nur wo der Kühlschrank mal drin war, da war nichts mehr drin.... aber sonst war alles ok und sauber.

Booked here for a business trip. All was generally fine with the hotel. You need to climb a fair number of steep steps to the rooms. Overall: Clean room, comfy bed, desk to work from, good shower. The only oddity was that I had to check-in with a sister hotel across the road (Hotel Residence), where the staff were friendly and the check-in was quick.

This hotel has a good location just in front of the Reeperbahn S-station, at 5 minutes from the Central Station and 30 min from the airport. It has 5 levels with some 50 rooms per floor and 3 lifts, and it is clean, new and modern, with comfortable beds, great showers, good wifi and even a music lamp! Well designed so that you feel comfortable even in a small place. The AC worked very well - we were in Hamburg on days with +39 Celsius degrees but the room was cool! The pillow was too soft, good for sleep but not enough when watching TV or reading - two such pillows/person would have worked better. Cold breakfast, quite generous. No cups & glasses, nor coffee facilities in the room, just 2 soft plastic cups. At check in we were told that service will be after 3 nights (!) and before having time to complain we got a voucher for two complimentary drinks at the bar! We had to dispose of our garbage every day as no one was coming to take it. We stayed 4 nights and after the first 3 when our room was finally cleaned, I noticed that my nightgown (put on the pillow) disappeared. I imagined that the cleaning guy took by mistake my white nightgown with the laundry, and I informed the reception, hoping that they could check the laundry...  The nice lady promised to bring me back the nightgown in 2 hours, but she came with a white skirt! that was not mine. So be careful with your clothes on the 4th day - nothing on the bed!

We checked in around 15:30 but there was a long queue (reception area is rather small). We managed to book a late checkout by the reception at 02:00 AM but the Putzdienst was unfortunately not informed. She barged in after knocking and waking us up but was very apologetic. Other than that, the stay was lovely and pleasant. Will definitely come again.
