HYPERION Hotel Hamburg

HYPERION Hotel Hamburg ★★★★★

📍 Amsinckstraße 39, Hamburg

"Hotel is located in walking distance of Hamburg Hbf, which is very convenient! Small downside is, that there are quite some homeless people and ******* around these kind of areas. We observed a ****** who was checking out a stolen (?) bag for its content on two nights while we were walking back to the hotel. Another advantage is the proximity of a car rental, which even allows for the cars to park there over night, so that one does not need to book the hotel Garage for €20/night! (Enterprise autovermieting) Rooms were ok, on lower floors with aircon and window can be opened. Bf was fine, but there was not enough space for the huge amount of guests, so they opened some rooms next to the main bf room, partly without electricity, which means that we had bf in the dark 😊. Gym has no mats for Yoga or the like. Showercaps have to be requested. Executive lounge just good for fetching some extra drinks or small snacks, but nothing special. Staff extremely friendly!"

"1. the coffee machine in the room is leaking 2. the room service didn't come even after putting up the sign for cleaning it is definitely an overhyped hotel ... really nothing fantastic to mention about the hotel except for ample car parking space"

📍 Steindamm 29, Hamburg

"I chose the hotel because of its cheap price, close location to Hamburg Hbf and free breakfast. As others mentioned, the location is shady and feels unsafe. But I only stayed here one night - arrived in the evening and left early morning in the day after. The room is small and clean, just sufficient for a short stay. I had a good sleep and the breakfast was a good deal too. My Economy room was located on the 5th floor, and the elevator stops at 4th, so be ready if you have big luggages."

Adina Apartment Hotel Hamburg Michel

"We were very impressed with the service and the reception – on a scale of 1 to 10, we would give it 10 or 11 points. We have stayed in many beautiful hotels, but this one truly stands out. The spa area, in particular, was exceptionally well-maintained and clean. The pleasant aromas in the lobby were also unique and immediately put us in a holiday mood. However, we do have one small point of criticism: On our departure day, we were disturbed twice by housekeeping – once at 10:00 a.m. and again shortly before 11:00 a.m., even though our check-out time wasn't until 11:00 a.m. We understand that housekeeping is demanding work, but guests' privacy should be respected. This unfortunately made our morning a bit stressful, something we haven't experienced before. In conclusion, we would like to emphasize that we would love to return and are already looking forward to our next spa experience. Sincerely, Likhit Klinhom"

"What more can I say... it sounds more exciting at first than it actually is. It's a typical hipster hotel: everything cool, everything casual, but not very practical, and even less professional! Getting from the ground floor to your room is always a trek, and the numerous uninspired construction fences and red-white-red plastic barrier tapes make you feel like you're walking through a construction site. The rooms are modern, but impractical and cold. In our suite, we couldn't even crack a window open for ventilation, there was no shelf on my side of the bed for my phone and other belongings, the bathroom was tiny for a suite with no storage space, the oversized TV blocked the view of what would otherwise be a great view, and so on. In short: you can do it once, but you don't have to. There are better hotels in the area, more practical, and cheaper to boot."

"We were very satisfied with our stay at the Garner Hotel Hamburg overall. The rooms were clean and well-maintained, though unfortunately a bit too small. However, the breakfast was really excellent and offered a good selection. We particularly want to highlight the friendly and helpful staff – everyone was very nice and accommodating. Overall, a pleasant stay that we would gladly recommend."

"It is just opposite the airport, very close, and is a good choice when catching a flight. It is under renovation and does not feel particularly comfortable. There is no formal entrance and exit, which is quite awkward. The front desk staff is polite and sincere, and actively contacted taxis, etc."
