Hotel berhampiran Hummelsee, Hamburg

My room was the furthest away possible from the lift. It was in a corner, corner shaped, I felt awfully cramped. There was NOT A SINGLE DRAWER IN THE ROOM! THERE WAS NO WARDROBE IN THE ROOM. There were only 3 hangers to hang my clothes, EXPOSED ON THE WALL. Awfull experience, I feel cheated. I will never use this hotel or trip again. And will block trip.com from being acessed from within my company.

Es ist alles schön und gut bis auf das im Zimmer die Luftfeuchtigkeit fehlt und die Klimaanlage/Lüftung irgendwie nicht funktioniert. Konnte durch die trockene Luft leider nicht richtig einschlafen und dazu führte es zur Erkältung. Ansonsten sauberes Zimmer, die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und hilfsbereit.

STAY AWAY. I am a very fair minded traveler. I was making a trip to Hamburg in August, so I knew I should plan for dealing with potential hot weather. I did extensive searching, including on TripAdvisor, specifically filter for the room having air conditioning. Nyce came up in the top of every search and clearing listed ”air conditioning” as one of their amenities. So I made a reservation and prepaid per their policy At the actual hotel [yes, on a hot weather day] when I entered the room there was NO A/C and mor even a fan. Only one window that could be cracked open approximately 6 inches. The room was a suana. When I talked with the reception desk the staff had harsh attitude and demanded to see where air conditioning had been promised. I showed them multiple screens, but their response was ”Google lies all the time”. I even offered to accept a partial refund [one of the two prepaid nights], but that was met with an even worse attitude. I left for another hotel. The Courtyard By Marriott about 5 minutes away was newly constructed, extremely helpful reception staff , and FULLY AIR CONDITIONED. The reception even told me ”Please go check the room, we want you to completely comfortable”. The room was at beautiful and yreat quality...and was almost the exact same price as the single room at Nyce A day later I received an email from Ntce site management. They request screenshots and I supplied, bit had the same dismissive ”blame the customer” and stated they would make no refund at all. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY from this property, you simply cannot trust them.

hotel was about 10 mins from main station. room was very well maintained and clean. size was very comfortable. a business hotel to be exact. staff was very helpful and there’s a bar/restaurant at ground floor

Just a simple hotel near the central station The breakfast is decent Consider that the area feels quite unsafe in the night and that there are around 25 stairs in the entrance without elevator Also is the first time in my travel experience that they told me that if I want to use the safety box inside the room it was going to be an extra charge

Great location. Easy to get around and get back to the place at night. If you're a light sleeper I wouldn't recommend the shared rooms, people coming back late at night, the doors close quite loudly. My only complaint is that I received a keycard to the wrong room and walked right into a private suite.. Nobody was there thankfully and I just walked right out, but if I were staying in a private room I would hate to think that strangers could just walk into my room where all my belongings are lying around. Otherwise clean and quite a cool environment.

Top notch employees. So friendly, so service - oriented, so authentic! I don't want to speak about the hardware: It's new and spotless and the quality of the breakfast for a three star chain is much better than you would expect. But extraordinary are the employees I met today. Front office is super friendly and efficient. Can't remember their names but took a pic of them. They are the right persons at the right place. They walk the extra mile. When it comes to the breakfast area I encountered their team leader Maeretha. She is one of a kind. Extremely enthusiastic with a winning personality she could excel in any field. She is very happy with her job and fulfills her role in an exceptional way. If I would be her father I would send her studying at a Swiss hotel school to become the CEO of Hilton Germany 🇩🇪! It was a pleasure to meet her.

Optimaler Standort zum Mehr! Theater im Großmarkt (zu Harry Potter).

Für St.Pauli-Besucher eine gute Adresse. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt und konnten unser Zimmer vorzeitig beziehen. Der Parkplatz ist sicher und direkt im Hof, vor der Tür. Für 12 €. (Kann nicht zwischen 20:00 und 06:00 Uhr angefahren oder verlassen werden) Das Hotel liegt mitten auf der Großen Freiheit. Das dort in der Nacht nicht absolute Ruhe herrscht, dürfte eigentlich klar sein. Im Hof befindet sich ein kleiner Biergarten, in dem man sehr günstig ein Bierchen trinken / ein Rettchen rauchen kann. Der Fahrstuhl im Hotel ist der Hit - so etwas erwartet man hier wirklich nicht. Das Zimmer war sauber, geräumig, hell und modern - mit allem was man braucht. Überraschung: Bad mit Dusche und Toilette sind 2 getrennte Räume! Es gibt genügend Steckdosen, einen Ventilator, Flachbild-TV und die Gardinen dunkeln gut ab. Die Fenster haben 3fach-Verglasung. Schreibtisch vorhanden und Kofferablage. Auf den Zimmern gibt es sogar einen Regenschirm und Schuhanzieher. Uns hat wirklich nichts gefehlt. Überhaupt war das ganze Hotel sehr sauber - Respekt. Das Frühstück war ok. - das erste Rührei leider kalt, dafür das Zweite perfekt. Gewünscht hätte ich mir nur noch Bohnen und Würstchen ;-) aber sonst war so ziemlich alles vorhanden. Der O-Saft war kalt und lecker. Es gab frisches Obst, welches auch tagsüber den Gästen an der Bar zur Verfügung stand. Wir kommen gern wieder.

OK - es sind immer noch die Möbel, die ich noch aus der Zeit kannte, als es das Forum Hotel war. Und das ist schon sehr lange her. Aber im Herbst soll die Renovierung losgehen. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Es hat richtig Spaß gemacht. Ich habe ein schönes Zimmer bekommen mit schönem Ausblick zur Stadt. Leider wird sehr viel gebaut, so dass man beim nächsten Mal vielleicht gar nicht mehr bis zur Elbe gucken kann. Schade. Dieses Mal gab es sogar einen Vorgang, der dicht war. Bis auf den Wasserdruck (15. Stock) der Dusche war alles in Ordnung. Aber das ist naturgegeben und damals kein Standard. Überrascht war ich beim Frühstück. Neben dem freundlichen Personal, das schnell abräumte, war das Angebot sehr vielseitig. Ich hatte nachgefragt: die Frikadellen schmeckten wie selbst gemacht (verbrannte Zwiebelstücke) und nicht nach Convenience. Aber man wollte sich nicht mit fremden Federn schmücken und meinten, dass es doch Convenience sei. Aber es war alles sehr gut. Ich werde wieder das Hotel mehr in meinen Fokus setzen, wenn ich wieder in Hamburg bin.
