Hotel berhampiran PUBLINET FAHMI, Hammamet

We are presently at this hotel and to be honest not what we were hoping for, even though nearing the end of September it is still very busy , as described in previous reports the dining hall at lunch times and especially evenings I can honestly report is chaos . Queues everywhere ,tables not getting cleared or made up ,it is beyond beggars belief! twice I have reported this but no solution to problems by hotel yet and don’t hold to much hope. other major issue are the pool towels or lack of them especially for new guests when they arrive ! :and dirty stained sun loungers cushions , I’m not sure on the criteria of a 5 star hotel but to me this one must fall some distance short ?!

We had 4 nights in September in Oceana, very welcoming staff, thanks to Mr Salah in the reception for his great attitude and kindness to offer us an upgrade to the royal suit. The royal suit is so huge and clean with two bedrooms and a small kitchen. So impressed with the Breakfast and Lunch Buffet offerings. The selection was outstanding, catering to a wide range of tastes and dietary preferences. I also enjoyed the 3 swimming pools around the hotel. The beach was so clean and clear ( private beach ). Daily room service and cleaning is also excellent. Yasmine Hammamet Center is only 5 min away by Car. I really recommend this 5 star hotel for couples and Families. Can't wait to comeback next year. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy my stay at The Russelior. I arrived at the hotel in the very early hours of the morning. I am not sure whether it was due to the language barrier but, despite reiterating and confirming back and forth that our pizza order, they still managed to get it wrong. We ordered a chicken pizza, but they sent us tuna pizza. As you can imagine, after travelling for several hours, this was not a good start to our stay at the hotel. And in spite of their error, we still had to foot the bill. Unfortunately, I did not enjoy any of the food that was served at Le Cristal. I found that the food, regardless of what time I went to eat, was bland and cold (or lukewarm, at best). In particular, I noticed that the rice dishes were always undercooked. If you stay at this hotel, you will go hungry. Le Cristal has a very limited range of drinks - just beer, coke, fanta and water, which is not included in the full board package. I was also taken aback to learn that they charge 8DT for a bottle of water at the restaurant, when you can purchase a bottle of water for 1DT at the local supermarket down the road. Furthermore, on one occasion I tried to eat at Bonzi but was rudely shooed out. I noticed that the restaurant had sat a table and was being served, so I assumed that it was open to all. I walked into the restaurant, and after a confused exchange due to the language barrier, the waiter muttered something that made the guests at the table laugh and ushered me out of the restaurant without explanation. The staff member that he directed me to failed to explain why I was not allowed to eat there, which made me feel alienated. I will acknowledge that when I spoke to someone at the front desk, they explained to me the times when the restaurant is open a la carte to all. I do not have an issue with the restaurant limiting access to elderly and disabled guests. However, for a hotel that claims to be 5 star, I am surprised by the lack of signage on the door or even on the website for that matter. Aesthetically speaking, I think that the hotel is quite outdated. I was comfortable in my room however, our toilet seat was not attached to the hinges so I could not use it comfortably without it sliding off onto the floor. In addition to this, I found ants crawling on the floor by my bed, to which the cleaning staff merely sprayed an insecticide and pushed the rug back on top of the affected area. To summarise, I would not recommend this hotel. I had high expectations for The Russelior and ultimately, my expectations were not met.

This hotel is gorgeous and the suites are beautiful. It was so easy to relax and unwind in the quiet and elegant surroundings. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast buffet was lavish and dinner options were great. Spa treatments are not to be missed, the spa staff is very professional, and the prices are reasonable. The outdoor pool, the salt water indoor/outdoor pool and the beach were very pleasurable. I spent 7 days by myself and I wasn't bored for an instant during my stay. There is no animation in this hotel, it is a paradise to relax and rejuvenate.

We have just returned from a 7 night family holiday at the Alhambra Thalasso Hotel in Tunisia. What was meant to be a 5* hotel, is actually like a 2*. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Ibrahim (assistant manager) and he explained about the timings of breakfast, lunch and dinner and told us he hopes we have a relaxing holiday. As we entered our room- Room 1051, the smell of damp overtook us and the walls were covered in moths as a result. There were also cob webs near one of the lampshades. We later discovered the damp smell was in fact coming from the A/C in the room. The mini fridge was extremely dirty and broken. We went back to reception and requested a room change. Ibrahim (assistant manager) showed us to our new room (Room 2054) and was quite abrupt as if to say we should of stayed with that musty room. He doesn't realise how much money was spent for this holiday. The fridge was quite warm at the highest setting, but much cleaner then the 1st room. No drinks or soft drinks included. Evening entertainment from the animation team was good. They seemed to have about 10 chart songs, which I discovered was their only music going as they played the same exact music by the pool in the daytime and the same exact songs at night. This happened for the entire time we were there. In the morning on the 2nd day, we went to use the gym, but left disappointed to find the treadmill and bike not working. The seat for the weight's machine was broken. No one was in the gym and should of had a ''broken gym'' sign on. The food in the buffet was plentiful, but nothing looked edible. The signs were all written in French and I soon discovered that Allergy info and the availability for non-dairy users were non-existent at this hotel. I saw they had dairy milk, but myself who can't have dairy (lactose intolerance). Luckily, I had brought my own instant coffee with oat milk from the UK. They had a chef on the fresh egg stations and a chef doing fresh crepes and doughnuts. The chefs all look so miserable as if they were being forced to be there. You could just tell that they probably weren't getting paid enough. I ended up eating an omelette every day for breakfast, along with 1 small doughnut with sugar and honey. My son came down with food poisoning on Day 2 and I had to go to reception to request to see a doctor on Day 3, as my son was getting dehydrated and wasn't able to keep anything down). The reception rang the doctor (as there wasn't a doctor on site). Ibrahim then suggested it was the ''climate, weather, beach or pool'' that must of got my son ill, not the food in the hotel. The doctor came and examined my son and said it was a viral stomach bug/food poisoning that he must of caught from the hotel. The doctor said someone preparing the food must of gone to the toilet, not washed their hands then prepared the food. We even watched the chefs at the BBQ station, taking raw chicken with the same tongs that were holding cooked chicken. This

Just back from the most perfect week with my daughter at Hotel Aziza! All the staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we needed. This really does include all the staff - the reception team, restaurant and bar staff, doormen, cleaning team, and the staff at the spa, without exception the service was fabulous and everyone so friendly. The pool and beach area were beautiful, clean and well kept. Sunbeds were usually all taken with towels by the time we came down at 8.30-9 but we preferred to sit on the gorgeous beach anyway where you could always find a space. Food in the main restaurant was great and varied, we had morning coffees from the beach bar and late lunches at the barbeque overlooking the beach, really perfect if you didn't want to eat inside. We tried both the Tunisian and International restaurants in the evening and both were excellent with 5 course menus and fabulous service. Our rooms were spacious and comfortable with big balconies and sea views. There is always something going on in the evening if you want to join in, live music, belly dancers, karaoke etc. The Moorish cafe in the basement and the lobby bar were both nice for pre or post dinner drinks. My daughter booked us both daily massages at the onsite spa which was an amazing treat each afternoon. Can honestly say that we can't wait to go back next year!

We booked this hotel last minute as we wanted alittle winter sun. The reviews online were amazing and that’s why we booked this hotel, on face value it’s picturesque and the gardens are well maintained. The private beach is amazing, a great feature to this hotel. There are however a few things to note especially if you’re English! This is very much a French hotel, everyone speaks in French, daytime games are in French, evening entertainment is in French and even the signs around the hotel are all in French. This didn’t bother us too much as we were able to use Google translate, it can get alittle difficult when trying to communicate and at times it felt quite isolating. Most of the entertainment team, bar staff and reception speak English so that helps a lot. The rooms are very basic with only one socket available In a room suitable for 4 people, I would recommend bringing an extension lead, on a positive note the beds are super comfortable. The aircon unit is dated so doesn’t work very well, can imagine this causing some discomfort in the peak summer months. The food is lovely, one of the best parts of the hotel. Authentic Tunisian dishes are served which were great to try. Breakfast is the same everyday which did become quite repetitive but if you love an omelette you’ll be alright. Lunch and dinner are pretty much the same most days but they do have a grill station and a pasta bar if you want to mix it up. If you are a fussy eater I wouldn’t necessarily sign up to the all inclusive, they don’t serve your standard all inclusive dishes ie nuggets and chips. The dessert station was lovely but again it’s the same everyday so can become quite repetitive. The snack bar is left overs from lunch. There are only 5 cocktails on the all inclusive but they are very nice and tasty so don’t be put off but the limited menu. The WiFi is pot luck, sometimes it lets you connect sometimes it doesn’t. If your room is close to the reception you could get wifi in it, ours wasn’t so the only time we got a connection was in reception or around the pool and most of the time it didn’t work. Overall, this is a great place for some winter sun on a budget. We did thoroughly enjoy ourselves but we only stayed for 5 days, I think anymore maybe too much.

The hotel is generally ok, although there are some issues. The shower was leaking, the carpet in the hall in front of our room smelled bad and we came across some bugs on it. But the cleaning crew was ok. The food was delicious, the waiters were polite and professional (especially Ali ❤️). The bartenders were also very pleasant during conversations. But the best impression on us was made by the animation team. Each of them is a great person, they are very friendly. Thanks to them our vacation was unforgettable. They kept coming to us and encouraging us to do different activities. The animation team gives us so much positive energy that we are considering coming back here next year! Thank you! Michael, Dadou, Djou, Kiki, Tito and the others whose names I don't remember. You are the best!!! ❤️❤️❤️ Maybe the review looks like a buy, but I am delighted and I will miss them. 🥺
