Amazing service. The people at the reception were super helpful & very friendly. The place had everything you need. They cleaned my room & provided new towels everyday. The old quarter is walkable- this location is great for people who don’t like the chaos down at the old quarter/lake Hoan Kirk part of the city.

Very nice Hotel, good Location and nice Cafés and Restaurant Just across the Street.

Our organization, Nuoy, has been staying at Hong Ngoc Cochinchine for the past 10 years with no intention of moving our group to another establishment. First, the location is absolutely perfect with the heart of old quarter only 15 minutes away by foot while also being removed from the busier tourist areas in Ha Noi. If you aren't eating breakfast outside the hotel you are missing out! Their breakfast is great but the options available are too good to pass up. Banh Cuon, Bun Oc, Pho Ga, and Cha Ca La Vong. The amenities are comfortable and appropriate for the price point that you are paying. This is not the Metropole nor does it market itself as such. The rooms are clean, the staff are courteous, and the rooms provide a private space away from the energy outside. For anyone considering this hotel, please know that the staff are committed to providing an excellent experience and many of them have been with this hotel for numerous years. It is telling that the cleaning staff are the same each year and the concierge staff rarely changes. If you have issues they will help you in a heartbeat. Our group thinks of this hotel as home during our stay and the staff are family. I hope that you are able to have an equally enjoyable experience at their hotel and a wonderful visit to Vietnam.

I had stayed in this hotel for 2 visits. The first visit was from 6 Nov (1 Night) and the second one was from 9 Nov to 11 Nov (2 Nights). For the first visit, i booked a Triple room with Balcony. The room was ok and i did not have any complaints. However, my second visit turned out to be extremely disturbing for us. We had booked a Family Suite. We reached the hotel at around 2 pm, but our room was not ready. In fact, the front desk guy could not even locate my reservation. To give him some time, I went out for lunch and returned back after an hour. The frnt desk guy showed me my room which was supposed to be a family room (according to him). However, there was some luggage in the room. As such, I refused to enter the room since I did not want to enter into trouble with the other guest, whose luggage was kept in his room. So, I informed him to give me some other family suite, which he could not give. SO, we had no choice but to occupy the triple room with Balcony for our stay. Obliviously, we requested the front desk to refund back (not the entire money - but the difference between the two rooms). However, he refused to do it and spoke very rudely and asked us to cancel the room. However, I did not want to waste my money since it was a non redundable booking and I had on option but to stay in the hotel. We asked for face napkins (A basic thing which every 3* hotel is expected to have). However, they did not have any such thing. The breakfast was also very basic and not to the bare minimum standard of a 3 star property. Seeing the limited options for veg (not the hotel's fault that some of us are veg), we asked for honey. However, the hotel did not even have honey, which is to be applied to the bread. And this is only the beginning of the story. The hotel forgot to collect payment from us for our first visit. I returned back to India and the front desk staff contacted me for the payment. By that time, I had posted a very brief feedback about the property on some booking portal. I readily agreed to pay and made the payment. The moment the payment was made, the tone of the frot desk staff changed dramatically. He started calling me names and threatened to broadcast my negative feedback everywhere in Vietnam (i have whatsapp to prove my claims about this). However, I refused to take back my feedback and have gone ahead to post it on tripadvisor. I will not advise anyone to stay or not to stay in this property since everyone is his or her best judge. However, i felt that a front desk guy threatening people for giving a honest feedback does not go down well in any service industry. The basic thing which they could have done is to speak to us to understand our concerns and resolve it to the best of their ability. However, they chose the other way of threating to defame my name unless I do not take back my review on the othe site.

Das Hotel liegt in der Nähe der Altstadt, die man gut zu Fuß erreichen kann. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber, das Frühstück ist lecker. Die Hotelangestellten sind freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders angenehm ist die relative Ruhe (soweit das in Hanoi geht) um das Hotel.

그냥 하룻밤 지낼만 합니다.

Beaucoup de disparités dans la qualité des chambres. Nous étions en groupe et il y a eu des problèmes sur plusieurs chambres ( eau chaude, chauffage...) La mienne était au dessus de la réception... extrêmement bruyant avec les portes qui claquent et les discussions... je l'ai signalé et la 2e nuit a été meilleure ... merci. Pas de fenêtre avec rideau , juste une petite fenêtre de salle de bain avec in store ... Les joints dans la salle de bain était noirs, je l'ai signalé on m'a répondu que ce n'était pas sale ?! Personnel sympathique cependant, emplacement satisfaisant avec bon resto à proximité. Salle de petit déjeuner avec vue mais buffet très simple .

I was only scheduled to stay for a few days but stayed there for almost two weeks. It was clean and quiet. They took such good care of me. I did not miss their-made-to-order breakfast because it was truly great value and the best part of of my stay (Try the omelette or the soup). The staff was flexible and totally present whenever I had a need going beyond the call of duty! I would definitely book this spot again. It was super easy to walk to nearby West Lake, restaurants and my favorite… Hanoi Bookworm Bookstore!

A nice, safe ,quite stay with lavish and comfortable interiors. Family market only a stone’s throw and also super easy to get to all other things food and culture. Apple and Lee really get it when it come to their trade which they practice so brilliantly. Real professionals when it comes to making their guests feel welcomed and at home. Anything you might need at anytime is magically conjured at a moment’s notice. You know a place has done it right when you feel sad to say goodbye to the staff. We will be back and we can’t wait.
